New here, first post.... just signed up to get some info on what the fcuking hell's going on.

But it must have been REALLY bad for a game to be abandoned, well... either that or the players milked it far beyond belief.

May have been a seizure or something, they're not pleasent to witness. Can understand why the Forrest supporters are slightly narked at the game being abandoned 1-0 up though, we'd be the same.

According to SS it was the refs decision. As for the Forest fans, yes maybe they didnt get the full info via tannoy but they know it must be serious having to abandon the match at half-time. There fans are a disgrace.

Maybe. I remember when we were playing at Man City and one of their players, Paul Lake,was knocked unconscious and swallowed his tongue. Pretty horrific sight. They carried on though, so perhaps what's happened to Clarke is somewhat worse.

It must have been touch and go for CC presumably? You see some pretty horrific injuries on the pitch from time to time, but the match is usually completed regardless.

If Forest have actually consented to an abandonment (rather than LCFC forfeiting), then that's a great gesture. I'm not sure how these things work?

Either way, the facts will come out in time. I hope CC makes a full recovery, and that the punters in Nottingham tonight keep their cool.

Got to be replayed - all the people who went there.

What has happened extactly? Why did the referree call the match of at Half Time ws it because of an injury to Clive Clarke?

Was there some fighting between Leicester City and Nottingham Forset fans

on the radio, the forest representative mentioned thet they said to the ref ' we will be willing to do whatever leicester city wanted to do'

It's all drama... I'm a city fan, not used to that.

We only get drama every other day lol

Its been a horrible night all round as we dont know the condition of CC and I must admit to being concerned that our fans dont get too emotional and start scraping because its the type of incident that can fuel the rage. My blood was boiling listening to the Forest fans accusing us of cheating and just seemingly hanging around to wind us up. Anyway, lets hope all is well in the morning. MA`s little comment on the OS tonight will be an interesting one thats for sure.

Nottm Forest A-A Leicester

Nottingham Forest's Carling Cup tie at home to Leicester was abandoned at half-time after defender Clive Clarke collapsed in the dressing room.

Paramedics rushed down the tunnel to attend to Clarke shortly after the half-time whistle.

A Leicester spokesman said the player was receiving medical attention in an ambulance and was conscious.

The restart was initially delayed before the referee called off the game, with Forest leading 1-0.

Forest boss Colin Calderwood and Leicester manager Martin Allen then emerged from the tunnel to make an announcement to the crowd.

Calderwood said: "We are afraid that due to the serious illness of a Leicester player both clubs have agreed to postpone the match."

The Reds held a 1-0 lead over their east midlands counterparts courtesy of Junior Agogo's 31st-minute strike.

not sure he will make one. he couldnt even speak on the pitch when he was supposed to. apparently looked very tearful.

Leicester City Chief Executive Tim Davies has confirmed that Tuesday night's Carling Cup second round clash with Nottingham Forest was abandoned at half-time after left-back Clive Clarke collapsed in the dressing room.

Forest were leading the game 1-0 through a Junior Agogo goal but after a lengthy delay, club officials from both sides agreed that the best course of action was to postpone the encounter.

Forest boss Colin Calderwood made the announcement on the pitch alongside Martin Allen in full view of the 16,000 strong crowd.

Davies said: "Clive Clarke collapsed in the dressing room at half-time and our thoughts and prayers are with Clive and his family at this current time.

"He is on his way to hospital as we speak; he is not very well but at least he's talking which he wasn't at one point.

"I'd like to thank Nottingham Forest, the referee for their prompt action in helping us to call off the match and I'd like to apologise to the fans but I'm sure they will understand that this is a very difficult time for everyone."

On a more amusing note, Paddy McCarthy scores a last minute winner for Charlton. 4-3. They were 2-0 up, went 3-2 down but have turned it round.

Whats happening?

They showed the goal, (Hendo flapping), and got an update on what happened. No new info though unfortunately.
