dandannieldanok Posted 3 September 2007 Posted 3 September 2007 He is a friend of Jimmy Nielsen according to the BK Frem Official Website.
Geo V Posted 3 September 2007 Posted 3 September 2007 Funny how the club's policy on foreign players has changed so much if recent times, mostly down to money I guess. Even when we had our most successful team under O'Neill, foreign players were a something of a novelty, Milan seems to be intent on signing as many as possible. Hopefully less Nielsons, more N'Gottys! Buying foreigners for the sake of it like some clubs do is a pointless exercise. We have had some decent ones like Zagorakis but we have had some right stinkers too, with Gunlaughsson being the biggest waste of money that I can remember. I personally would like us to keep it largely British based or at least, the foreign players brought in already having knowledge of this country by playing for other British clubs. Unless you buy international class players you are always rolling the dice and we have done a bit too much rolling (not Frank) with the likes of Hellings and Nielsen. Kaebi and Ferreira come with International experience so shouldnt be a risk but some of the names we have been linked to other the summer have had even the wikipedia lot scratching there heads thinking "Who???"

Yeah, that's pretty much what I think too. I suppose times have changed from the O'Neill years where we could rely on being able to recruit players with a lot of potential/talent from lower leagues and reserve teams. Izzet, Elliott, Savage etc were good enough for the old first division and the premiership, I'm not convinced McAuley, Hume etc would be able to transition as comfortably. I'd rather see mainly British players too, guess it's a sign of the times though we're looking more towards foreign relative unknowns like Djeziri.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 3 September 2007 Posted 3 September 2007 Not sure if already in, but seems a quality player Adda Djeziri

I saw the re-run of the Villa win at Chelski yesterday and I must admit I was really envious of what MON is doing down there with them as it sent me back to the good old days. MON has had money to get players so maybe took less of a risk as he did with us by getting Chelsea reserves and Oxford defenders (who turned out to be class I`ll add) but just looking at the Villa team sheet put a smile on my face. MON had some players he inherited like Barry, Agbonlahor, Moore and Cahill but has added Carson, Reo-coker, Young, Knight and Curtis Davies. All these are English lads and the ones who played look so pacey and hungry and Chelski didnt get a second to breathe let alone pass it. They obviously have some class foreign players which you will always need at that level but I am proud that MON is doing it his way and its working for him although I am not happy that he isnt doing it for us and is doing it for the Villa! BTW I think I may not have as much negativity to say about foreign signings if they are still teenagers. Djezeri is young and seems to have a decent pedigree so bring this type of player in isn't a bad thing and is very little risk if any at all.
Daggers Posted 4 September 2007 Posted 4 September 2007 All news of the signing has dissapeared from the OS, reckon there has been a problem with international clearance? Shortly after appearing on the site the date was altered, sending it crashing down the list of news pages. It's still there, but the signing now took place on last Friday: http://www.lcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsI...10274,2,00.html

sbenson Posted 4 September 2007 Posted 4 September 2007 God knows!Just wanted some insight from anyone who had actually seen him play... Yeah he has got a page, although it says very little about him, he won the youth team league, and cup double with Rangers last season, but I guess thats no real acheivment?! Just seems as if wer'e collecting players now rather than signing them for a reason.
Charnwood Norris Posted 4 September 2007 Posted 4 September 2007 Adda Djeziri? Sounds like a spice from the cupboard. He's got 1 goal from 11 starts in a crappy league (about as good as our 2nd Division?). It seems like MM's thought was: "because Blackburn were thinking of signing him... he must be good."
Father Ted Posted 4 September 2007 Posted 4 September 2007 Maybe he has been brought in to play for our youth team? Like he did at Rangers.

brez Posted 4 September 2007 Posted 4 September 2007 We need Danes on here again.Aren't BK Frem really shit now?? Due to the lack of coverage of A) The Scottish youth league and B) The Danish lower divisions I don't think thats likely. A Danish club is never shit :-) but Frem is not in the Superliga for the time being. My son (20) says Djeziri is a good player for his young age.
brez Posted 4 September 2007 Posted 4 September 2007 OI!! You just put that i in now didn't you???CHEAT! Just call the club PSG as the French do :-)
brez Posted 4 September 2007 Posted 4 September 2007 Is it pronounced JER-ziri, DUH-ziri or DUJUH-ziri? Pronounced as it is written :-) djeziri :-)
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 4 September 2007 Posted 4 September 2007 Pronounced as it is written :-) djeziri :-) I will call him Jizz-Ear
The People's Hero Posted 4 September 2007 Posted 4 September 2007 Pronounced as it is written :-) djeziri :-) Stop smiling so much. You're a Lestoh fan now. That's what you want. *dies*

Zagorakis was decent for us but no more that he has been like that all his career. He is not the most flamboyant of players but ticks things over and smacks in the odd shot here and there to good effect. Yeah he is a Euro 2004 Champ but the whole team was full of hard working team players who weren't blessed with the best natural footballing ability. Good knows how "we" won but I wasn't on at the 100/1 available and it still hurts today As others have said, British players are generally too expensive to soon and thats why the academy and the scouting system must be in place. Without MM, the academy looks like it is doing fantastically well but the scouting system leaves alot to be desired. All sorts of clubs seem to be raiding Ireland these days, especially after the success of the Reading players Shane Long and Kevin Doyle. Some decent non-league players have been snapped up and in particular Wolves `Michael Kightly and Peterboros attacking pair Aaron McLean & George Boyd. The players are out there but we are definitely getting left behind when it comes to finding the talent.

lookwhaticando Posted 4 September 2007 Posted 4 September 2007 Must be hard to be that negative :-) Nope. It comes quite easily to Leicester City fans. Being miserable and forever disappointed is as natural as breathing for your average Leicester fan.
Lillehamring Posted 4 September 2007 Posted 4 September 2007 Pronounced as it is written :-) djeziri :-) eh? that doesn't help at all - english does not use 'dj' - i assume its like the 'juh' sound in 'judge' and thus the 'd' is silent - jez-earie... why am i even talking, i'm off to make me dinner...

Listen to the bloke. Its clearly another DJ. We have signed DJ Ezeri and with DJ Campbell around, the club will save a few pennies at the Xmas parties. Anyone for Hip Hop?
