davieG Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 From OS Strong Reserve Side To Take On Vale Posted on: Mon 10 Sep 2007 Leicester City caretaker manager Jon Rudkin has named a strong reserve side to face Port Vale at the Marston's Stadium this evening (7pm). Fez of Mahrez Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 Nielsen Kaebi Mattock Stearman Kenton Ferreira Djeziri Magunda King Cort Fryatt Would be my pick there.
ASH17LCFC Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 NielsenKaebi Mattock Stearman Kenton Ferreira Djeziri Magunda King Cort Fryatt Would be my pick there. Danish striker Adda Djeziri ... Why would they play him in the middle
Fez of Mahrez Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 Danish striker Adda Djeziri ... Why would they play him in the middle I'd stick him on the left. Magunda and King in the middle. He's left-footed and played left wing for Rangers youth team last year apparently.

Fez of Mahrez Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 Ohhhh, Did Rangers ever play him up front or did they always have him on the left ? No idea. As always with these things you can only really draw a vague conclusion from something you've read on a few internet messageboards. Hopefully whoever goes tonight can give a proper opinion on him and let us all know where he plays. It'll be exciting for those that do attend to be able to watch Djeziri, Ferreira and Kaebi all in the same side.

Fez of Mahrez Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 By that do you mean Thracian ? Preferably not.
Geo V Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 If Thrac goes or whoever else turns up that is a member on here, can you kindly have a proper detailed look into the crowd to see if Roeder, Reid or any one of the other 400 managers linked to us are sitting watching the match. Cheers.
Milky Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 I'm going. Really looking forward to seeing the new lads.
Dames Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 Preferably not. Yeah i was being silly If he plays out left you know all were going to hear is the fact he cant play a telling cross like Beswick or he doesnt have the flair to beat a man all ends up 5 times like Gradel.

The People's Hero Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 By that do you mean Thracian ? Djeziri: 1 : Fantastic. Scored 19 goals and had a hand in at least 7 more in a lively 3-3 draw. Puts me in mind of a young Alfred Hitchcock mowing his lawn at midnight on a Tuesday using nothing but a cold cone of chips! Ran the young right back ragged.. he'll be having Scandinavian-striker-cum-winger themed nightmares tonight and who wouldn't? He was literally the cheese and arguably some of the French bread on Djeziri's small (but no doubt effective) supper plate. Came off to standing ovation on 82 minutes when replaced by the man he eventually hopes to emulate. Porter: (sub 82 mins - Djeziri): 10 : Ran the show. Came on with City 3-0 up and prevented a defeat in the closing moments when the opposition right back saw his shot blocked on the line by Levi, the pocket dynamo. Levi demonstrably kept the ball out of the goal, demonstrably saving City what could demonstrably be a vital point come the end of the season. All this from a man who'd completed an 8 minute hat-trick previously. Out-shone Djeziri in every department and will be gutted if he once again loses out to one of Beaglehole's chosen me.... errr Beaglehole is amazing. He'll be gutted if Beaglehole is duped in to picking Djeziri (the chosen man of many) by one of his evil associates, Stowell or Rudkin. Or do I like those two? I can't remember.

You forgot King - 9 - Bossed the midfield. Like a Welsh Scholes with his ability to make a telling pass or mini Les Ferdinand with his great heading ability. If it wasn't for Fryatts limited ability this lad would have had a dozen assists tonight. Also saw a rasping pea roller graze the palms of the keeper in the dying moments.

The People's Hero Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 Never gets boring. What is boring is not having a manager to abuse. Come on Milan - appoint someone so I can start the ' x OUT ' bandwagon rolling.
Manwell Pablo Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 We could trot along to a Dundee United forum and start abusing Levien while we wait.
Ric Flair Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 We could trot along to a Dundee United forum and start abusing Levien while we wait. I'm on the case.
Dames Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 We could trot along to a Dundee United forum and start abusing Levien while we wait. Or Preston for Rob Kelly. Or Palace for Taylor and you could start an Iwan is a Welshman thread whilst your there.
The People's Hero Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 We could trot along to a Dundee United forum and start abusing Levien while we wait. What a tos ser he was. Poor old Dundee Utd. I've got a soft spot for them as well.
Manwell Pablo Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 I'm on the case. I can't find any, not any goodones anyway.
The People's Hero Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 Does anyone know where Craig Levein lives? We should mail him Elvis Hammond.
Manwell Pablo Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 Does anyone know where Craig Levein lives? We should mail him Elvis Hammond. I find it amusing that Elvis can't even get on the bench for our stiffs. Very amusing.
Simon Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 I find it amusing that Elvis can't even get on the bench for our stiffs. Very amusing. Hahahaha. It's a pretty strong reserve team actually, if I wasn't busy, I'd be tempted to pop along... would be good to see the new lads.
Ric Flair Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 I find it amusing that Elvis can't even get on the bench for our stiffs. Very amusing. There's a myth he's still out with an ankle injury, I find that a little dubious. He's one of those rare players that never get's injured, Akinbiyi was the same. You pray for an injury that never comes. Thankfully we now have......... no we don't, we did have a manager who thought he was guff.
