Geo V Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 I was with a mate today who has been real sheepish over the last few weeks and I had thought that he had won the lottery or something as he has been on two holidays in the last few weeks and was going on spending sprees. Anyway, he admitted he kept a secret over the last 2 months as his missus went on Deal Or No Deal and she had won £45k but they were told to keep it quiet or risk losing the money. It was filmed about 2 or 3 months ago but she is on the show now and they have already had the money so there is no risk. Anyway, i cant see the risk as there is a studio audience there who could spill the beans. Prats! To get all Scouse on him, "Im made up for the lad" as he is a hardworking bugger who is an accountant (almost fully qualified) and his missus Danielle is a gorgeous young gal of 21 I think (he is 25 now I think) and they are planning to get married after being together for years (He got hold of her when she was 16 the filthy sod but she is a lovely looking lass so I cant blame him, it was legal and all ). Anyway, she is already opening boxes on the show already and you`ll see her soon winning that £45k. I hope i haven't spoiled the show for you . He wasn't in the audience as they don't tell the contestants when they are due to play the game and he couldn't afford to turn up every day of her stay. Its amazing how he found the time to have two holidays after that though the git. Good old Harry or Harold as I call him (I started calling him that, he hates it but now some more of his mates call him it ) Anyway, has anyone ever won anything on a quiz show or the lottery or something? My biggest wins all came when I didn't expect to win and was just having a laugh. One day me, my brother and best mate went to Victoria Casino in London (about 12 years ago) and we had about £60-100 each to have a gamble and have a bite to eat afterwards. We started gambling and somehow I got to be winning about £250. The other lads were also winning a few quid but not as much as me. Anyway, ity was getting late and we agreed to cut the night short in 15 or so mins so I decided to take the profits, go to the roulette table and gamble all the winnings on one spin. To cut a long story short the first spin won, I gambled more heavily and within 4 or 5 spins I had £5000. I then gambled £500 on a spin that lost so stopped there. By then my mate and brother had seen the wins and came over. I then asked them how much they were winning and they said a few hundred so I asked for there money. they handed it over and I gambled on two spins and got it to £1800 and stopped and gave it back. It was just one of those nights in a gamblers life where everything came good and the strange thing was, I didn't go with the intention of gambling (you cant with such small stakes) but just went for a fun night out and doing something different. We went to the Vic because a mates uncle owned some Lebanese restaurant on Edgware Road which was one minute away from the casino so the night all tied in. Lose £40-50 quid and then go and eat and drink.

I actually told her off like the old man that I am when she came round here last about 3 or 4 months ago to stop wearing so much make-up and was greeted with a cheeky "I`ll stop wearing make-up when you get married". She knows me too well. BTW she has a fit sister as well.

After my casino win, I managed to buy her one dress and a pair of shoes and sent her on her way to yours in a pimptastic exercise for her to come back with at least a million. She said she couldn't stand the smell of your feet and demanded you bought M & S socks before she considered returning.

MPH Posted 11 September 2007 Posted 11 September 2007 i remember YEARS ago as a kid when sainsbury's homebase on welford Road opened they ran a competition- they took a photo of everyone who had been there at the official opening and put it in the mercury - anyone who took the photo and identified themselves down at the store got £40 worth of vouchers to spend there. Well my Stepdad's mum rang up saying she saw me in the photo ( i didnt even go) but i looked at the photo and there was a kid there who did look very similar to me. So i went with my sisters and got the vouchers. Sold them to my mum for £30 and everyone was happy!!

I sometimes play Sky Poker's The Open, thats ok with £3500GTD for a tenner but it's abit of a crapshoot with blinds going upvery fast. Other than that I just really play on Full Tilt, as there is always a decent game going.

This was in the day when it was super expensive to get it installed and my parents couldnt afford to pay that aswell as the monthly fees. I got free Premier League for a season and my dad loved all the movie channels he could watch at a time when he was really really poorly so it worked well for us!

Maybes, yeah she is lovely, great little figure but she is one of the funniest wackiest girls you`ll ever want to meet. I'm not sure if that will come over on the show but she is lovely but her sister IMO is better looking. Hopefully she`s in the audience when Danielle gets on.
