I'm currently 10th in the table after 10 games in my first promotion season in the premier league with Leicester iv got Pandiani and Makaay up front and Ramsey in Midfield But need a 1 stricker and 1 cm as cover for them , does anyone know of any decent Forwards or Cm for around 3-4 mill ?
act smiley Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 Engelaar, Nicolae Mitea, Mika Vayrynen, Massimo Donati? Vayrynen is usually about 1.5 but the rest might be at the top end of the budget. Richard Haklander is a good cheap target man but you need to be running the Dutch leagues. Magnus Myklebust is another cheap option. Marius Niculae is pretty good and shouldn't cost too much either. If you want a fairly defensive minded midfielder cheap, Andy Dorman is quite good for £200k, but not very creative.

Leicester's 12th Man Posted 5 July 2008 Posted 5 July 2008 Started playing Football Manager 07 again got bored of Fifa Manager 08, going to get 09 deffo. Started as Swansea midway through first season (player updates up to 25th April so Swansea still in League 1) Just about to sign McAuley and Hayles in the January transfer window. Currently 8th and in the JPT Final, out of the FA Cup in the 2nd round.

I got Donati and Haklander , Donati made his debue in a 0-0 draw at anfield and Haklander as a sub for Makaay scoring to make it 2-0 in the last minute got 7 points from my last 3 games and went down a place though still 11th from 12ish games with Carlos coming in the January window

By the way that was just a example, i have never done that. Cheats do ruin the fun - I mean, its not like the old days when you didn't have any guide to the potential a player had. Stuff like the corner-tricks, while bug-exploiting aren't really that bad though - its not like the Diablo tactic for 03/04. Using editors can make some fun things though, like trying to keep a conference team in the premiership (or at least beat Derby's real points total!), etc. - its not all about out-and-out cheating.

I got rid of Hume Stearman McAuley and Mattock and then credited my bank balance with 10M using the modifier. Signed David Bell, Bogdan Stancu, Fraizer Campbell (on loan), Ben Clark, some Italian defender. Lost my first game 5-4 against Brighton, but i've won my last 12 on the trot!

After keeping them up, got offered the job full time and was top for most of the season but have now dropped to 6th. Honest to god, Alex Revell is a goal machine. Scored 39 in one season in L1 when was with Oldham, signed him for Millwall in the Championship now and has already scored 21 goals in 30 games. Machine.
