Brainy Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Something quite strange has just happened on mine. I'm Blackpool in the 2nd season and I took 4 players on trial for a month. None of them really interested me so I didn't offer any contracts but strangely, considering all 4 are in their 20s (including Max Gradel of Leicester), I have been informed about a month later all 4 have retired. Anyone else had anything similar happen? Yep, not quite sure about 08 but it definately used to happen on 07.

Brainy Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Got York promoted to League Two via the play-offs in my first season. Quite disappointed though as I have been top for over half the season, and haven't been out of the top 3 since matchday 4. My Captain Manny Panther got booked every 1.5 matches (26 in 40) and was sent off four times. My strikers did the business up front all season - 31 in 51 for Alex Rhodes, 12 in 18 for Richard Brodie and 15 in 31 for Onome Sodje.

I'll let you know the score, at the San Siro I lost 3-1 with Vagner Love scoring for me.

ousefox Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 Manny Panther of York is the best captain ever.14 games this season - 12 yellow cards and 2 red cards. Only time he hasnt been booked is when he had to be taken off at half time one game.. and against Stevenage. Many Panther is a legend the other day he had an open goal but just froze then someone tackled him!!!
Ozwin Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 Moved my way up to the Atletico Madrid job and am currently kicking arse compared to last season. I'm 3rd and just beat Espanyol 3-0. Aguero, Forlan, Matias Fernandez, Arshavin, Raul Garcia, Vanden Borre and Pablo to name a few of my best players.

Picked Leicester, had a bright start, moved up to 3rd and then the big crash came which saw me drop all the way to 22nd, before I finally caught the buzz again. Finished 7th in my first season, just one point off the playoff places. Highlight was the away match at Bristol City, where I won 6-3, with De Vries grabbing a hattrick. Campbell banged in 24 goals - without one single injury in between! I'm trying to sell most of the squad to make funds for new signings. Sold Kaebi for 1.3 million and got Kenny Cunningham on free transfer.
