Alexikokopops Posted 8 February 2008 Posted 8 February 2008 Got into the playoffs with Leicester, my main keeper was on international duty with England under-19s, by backup was on international duty with Poland under-19s. They were both brilliant, I had to resort to some kid from the youth team who had an average rating of about 6.5 in them matches. We lost 4-2 to Birmingham

Libertine Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 Right. Created a database. Created a club and put them into the Championship. When I start a game with this database, I can't manage in England. Help?
LeeCovFox Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 I feel a FM night coming on tonight. These nights tend to stretch beyond 12 hours. Fun fun. Hyde United or Redditch United, that is the question.

You might have too many teams in the league now, you'll have to kick a team out of the league, someone that nobody cares about I.e. Plymouth

Samilktray Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 Sorry to ask this again but, How do you get players to tutor other players
General Smuts Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 Anyone know how you get rid of player profiles that your no longer using? So that they dont appear on the list to be selected when your adding a new manager.
potter3 Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 After a good run of results, including beating Man U, Chelsea and Liverpool, I'm top of the league by 6 points with 10 games left, with only Arsenal of the big 4 teams to play It's in my hands now Anyone know how you get rid of player profiles that your no longer using? So that they dont appear on the list to be selected when your adding a new manager. Click, "clear menu" when on the list, or do you want to keep some?
potter3 Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 Any idea why I've randomly started to lose money so quickly I'll end up being millions in debt soon? I think my balance has dropped from £25 million to 900K in about 2 months
LeeCovFox Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 Any idea why I've randomly started to lose money so quickly I'll end up being millions in debt soon? I think my balance has dropped from £25 million to 900K in about 2 months Which club are you at? This seems to happen to me during my first season at sides in the Conference North/South. Its usually a case of the wage bill sucking the funds out of the club, whether within the wage budget or not. It could well be a case of high wages relative to attendances. I usually manage to sort the problem out starting the following summer by offloading high earners who aren't being used and replacing them with youngsters with high potential. This method usually puts my club comfortably back into the black by the end of the following season, and provided more on the pitch success, generating yet more money. If that situation is not relevant to you, then check all your financial information, study all the graphs and figures available. From that you should be able to see where your money is going, and where you are not making enough money as you would like. Then of course, appropriate measures need to be taken, which, dependent on what they are, could result in a short term lowerig of success levels, but also in turn, a solid foundation on which to build for sustained long term success.
potter3 Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 I'm Leicester, within the wage budget by more than £100K. Looked at the graphs and the only thing I can see is that I have big spikes on the expenditure one during the months when the transfer window is open, which is expected And I havn't had a big drop in income either. Last season I made about 10mil net profits, this season (in March at the minute) I've lost about £30million, I should get a bonus at the end of the season for my league position, right? My bank balance is lowest since I took over

You should do but I doubt it will cover the 30 million you've lost. I usually play with non-league sides so I only really have experience sorting their finances out. It may be that you have spent too much on transfers. You should be able to look at a table of expenditure and one of income. They should tell you where any extra money is going.

I dunno, I still have about 13 million budget left, spent a bit more than last season, but got about £20mill more from selling. I'll keep playing and see how it looks at the end of the season.
Flynny Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 Championship took two seasons to conquer. I'm pretty damned pleased with this game though.

FilboFox Posted 10 February 2008 Author Posted 10 February 2008 Championship took two seasons to conquer. I'm pretty damned pleased with this game though. Are Leicester in the Prem?
Flynny Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 What tactics are you using to have climbed so far in so little time? Match or in-game? In game: Start with a decent team with a biggish stadium (for the BSP, anyhow), buy young, improve, sell on, buy better. Match: I was playing 4-3-1-2 mostly in my first few seasons as far as I remember, certainly in League One and Two. In the championship I pushed my central midfielder back and now played a 4-4-2 diamond, pretty much, in both Championship seasons. Or "4-1-2-1", apparantly.
