Milky Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 but didn't kish and chambers come on before they scored - surely if the players were thinking defensively someone would have closed down for the goal???... The changes were made, we sat back, which gave encouragement to QPR to attack, then they sored, and could have scored again.
RowlattsFox Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 If Megson is the master of 1-0 wins then surely he knows how to defend leads, therefore he should know not too let the team sit back.
Simi Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 The changes were made, we sat back, which gave encouragement to QPR to attack, then they sored, and could have scored again. Yep.
Churchill Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 come on, it's way too early, this is a fresh team getting to know each other - we could have been 4th today depending on results, its way too early and way too tight to write us off... well yeah i think this season is just to build the team up i think next season will be the one
Master Fox Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 Today was absoulutely awful just like last year I'm so gald i didn't go.
Milky Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 I'm so gald i didn't go. It wasn't completely awful, we did play some decent stuff at times, and we did deserve to win. QPR were shite though.
Staf Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 It wasn't completely awful, we did play some decent stuff at times, and we did deserve to win. QPR were shite though. Exactly they were shite and we couldnt beat them i know its early on but were already falling behind the top teams
Stevosevic Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 Exactly they were shite and we couldnt beat them i know its early on but were already falling behind the top teams Even though it is early you can't afford to fall behind, you don't get promoted if you can't beat Blackpool and QPR at home.

Sounds like the same old story to me. I knew today would be a shocker. The only hope we have is that a couple players to come in might make a difference, but if not we're going to have another shit season. My season ticket is fast becoming the biggest waste of money. My garden is looking better though.
Milky Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 Exactly they were shite and we couldnt beat them i know its early on but were already falling behind the top teams Sod the top teams, 6th has always been the best we could achieve, and we're only 2 points off that. On the early evidence mid table looks likely.

On the early evidence mid table looks likely. Anything less than top half will not feel like improvement to any of us i don't think, it's depressing reading the table seeing us in the bottom half.
Lillehamring Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 Anything less than top half will not feel like improvement to any of us i don't think, it's depressing reading the table seeing us in the bottom half. but at least we aren't sheff weds
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 15 September 2007 Author Posted 15 September 2007 Even though it is early you can't afford to fall behind, you don't get promoted if you can't beat Blackpool and QPR at home. Agree.. after our near relegation misses and that promotion year in the last six years, we're probably due a year where we finish mid-table, so glad I didn't go and bought two Levellers and a Midlake album instead
Brainy Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 If you want to see late goals, watch Fulham.
davieG Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 They provided no threat at all down the wings with Hume and Levi attacking their fullbacks as soon as we took them of and just hoofed it up to Cort they were all over us like a rash. Megson has a nerve to say intelligence was lacking on the pitch he should look in the mirror if he wants to see that. He blew it and if that's what we've got to look forward to, defending a 1-0 lead with 8 defensive players on the pitch then then I fooking despair.
purpleronnie Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 I agree its really does make you worry and makes you think will we ever be back up in the prem We could....with about 11 new players.
