Atmosphere today

We stand every week in L block - always have. We never have any problems from the stewards. Certainly a better atmos than any other part of the ground - (aside from the few dumb pricks who shout megson out within 1 min of the game and try and get songs going about the poor QPR lad that died).

Why don't you have the FoxesTrust have him taken care off :D

I agree, as long as we're not ambushed by charity boxes and requests for our money.

Until I went to a couple of games at the tail end of last season, I hadn't been to the ground since the Premiership (03-04) season because I'd totally lost interest in the squad.

Anywho, the games I went to last season were Birmingham at home, and Wolves at home. I can honestly say that the Birmingham game was one of the best I've ever been to, at least in terms of atmosphere. It reminded me what I'd been missing out on so I booked tickets for the Wolves match. Great. That was £20 well spent (I thought). Last game of the season and the place sounded like a library.

Tomorrow, look in the pictures of the crowd in the Mercury. Some will be standing, shouting at the top of their voices. Others will be texting on their mum on their mobile, some others sitting down just looking lobotomised, and some just moaning to friends. This yet everyone (including me) complains. I like to think that I make a fair bit of noise at matches, and join in with every chant, no matter where I'm sitting, I know I'll probably look like a bit of a 'tard, but I think It'll be even more so if I sit down and remain mute during a game.

People blame the inclusion of seating at grounds. Bollocks. Sitting down doesn't make you a mute.

If they'd have sung something other than how much they hate Derby & forest and as for stand up if you love Leicester haven't they got the message yet that people will not join in with this as they regard it for special occasions.

As for a Megson wonderland :D

Did they actually sing any songs about Leicester City Football Club or individual players - hardly any.

Fair enough they may be vocal and trying hard but their songs are more boring than an LCFC V's QPR game.

I go to support LCFC not rant on about forest & Derby.

Yeah it is a good to show how much you hate derby and forest but to be fair forest cant really hear us when we are playing in leicester and they are at port vale

maybe they should go and learn some of the older chants that ARE about the club but when i turn and look the average age of them must be about 15 ... (out of the 1s at the back of E3)

Im 15 and i go week in week out and i sat at the back of E3 and i go as many away games too it dont matter how old you are id rather have 15 year olds singing than no one

As much as we try, and sing as many songs out of the book as possible, they just won't sing. But for some strange reason, it gets going for the Great Escape. Jeez! That was last year, if that is the only song people would join in with, then there is some serious problems.

nooo i was saying thats why they dont sing the older songs that would get others near by to join in, for whatever reason most blokes wont join in if its just kids

That''s the last time I sit in the middle of E3. Bunch of miserable bastards.

The only time they raised the voice was to berate a poor touch, pass or long ball. Oh, and to cleverly replace "City" with "Shitty" in the greatest team chant. Idiots.

There's obviously a positive correlation between performance and atmosphere but I doubt there's many fans from other clubs that take that rule quite as far as your average Leicester supporter down the Walkers.

EDIT: haha, bit moany that isn't it. Been one of those weekends, I guess.

most people only sing when its got clapping in like great escape and the so and so's blue and white army but when its something like you are my leicester they just sit there

Well what do you want us to do about it?

I sing as much as i can, andi know the majority of people on here do their utmost as well.

Im not asking you to anything mate am just saying that when we sing a song like your are my leicester no one sings along we need another singing block again but now N blocks only season ticket where would we put it?

Nowhere. It took off for 45 minutes against Cov last season.

Then after that it went more stale than DB11's pants.

All the singers should move to L1.

yeah but thats season ticket aswell :( suppose even if we did make another singing block all the stewards would make us sit down again

Just asking for trouble. That is the family stand, and i don't think they are there to sing.

Let's not go down the road again now.

If you wish to look for reasons why I'm sure searching "N Block" would be very useful.

True just stick with the Kop and if things start to pick up maybe we might get some more singing :dunno:

well said mate, we have over 200 people in L1 constantly standing and singing every game whereas the majority moan then just join in when it suits them, (Brum last season prime example)

If you want something done try and arrange it, SUAS 's idea had great potential but it possibly down to people like me who moved back to L1 after a couple of bad games as to why it didnt work.

I think the watford game showed it can be good and generally the whole game experience is very good in L1 at least. To some people it may be what their used to I wasnt attending games in the 80's and early 90's where the atmosphers were amazing so I may accept lower standards to older people.

Some of the people in this thread make me sick.

"We need to stand"

"We need a place to sing"

DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT FOR FOOKS SAKE!

You Had Nblock, which would have worked if people were BOTHERED ENOUGH to move their ST's there.

People have chances to back the campaign to bring back standing, yet whenever they have to do something they shut up, typical lazy English willy puller.

I see you're trying the diplomatic approach to drum up support? lol

Yep, He's a glory fan ;) but really try and get the kop moved to the family end if you wanna help improve the atmosphere. Then try and get standing back. Take one small step at a time. If we had the kop in the family end be alot more louder and more enjoyable.

How many more times? It ain't going to happen.

would that be the questionaire that i never heard was there?
Exactly my point, the people who wanted it changed never got a copy of it!

A few of us that post on here did get a copy, and did vote in favour of a switch. However, there are people who have had their seats since the stadium opened who don't want to move.

To be honest, I did ask why the Family area couldn't be accommodated in the South-West corner, which is often empty, and it's away from the opposition fans who apparently can offend our family fans, but this was poo-pooed.
