Unabomber Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 Atmosphere was crap in the kop,but it's not suprising with all thats gone on in the last couple of weeks. There were a few half hearted chants of Gary Megsons blue and white army, but i don't know about anyone else on here.I just couldn't bring myself to join in.....In the same way as i couldn't with Kelly(last season) or Levien towards the end!Hope Megson has me singing his name in a month. Same mate, when there was chants of " There's only one Gary Megson, Walking along..... etc" I just couldn't join in. As it reminded me of the Kelly days when it was all long balls etc.. Not good. Also what pissed me off big time was when some people were booing MDV as he came of for Cort. That one I just can't understand whatsoever, what are some idiots playing at booing someone who has put all he has into our club this season. He didn't even get a start (which I thought he deserved) and he gets booed when we're drawing and he gets brought on. Some of our fans are just ridiculous.

From where i was sitting i think the boo's were for Cort.A bit harsh i'll admit....not match fit and not very good when he is imho!Megsons got a lot of work to do to get me happy clapping!
Raj Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 atmosphere was pathetic. i dont understand what is difficult about standing up and singing to get behind the team. SamL Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 I sat back of e3 as usual today! i actually thought atmosphere at watford was probably one of the best at home over the last few years. But yesterday was shockin. There was about 10 people who stood up at the back of the kop and sang most of the game! Everybody else joined in occasionally and when we were winning but it was shyte the rest of the time. Absolute joke

davieG Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 If they'd have sung something other than how much they hate Derby & forest and as for stand up if you love Leicester haven't they got the message yet that people will not join in with this as they regard it for special occasions. As for a Megson wonderland Did they actually sing any songs about Leicester City Football Club or individual players - hardly any. Fair enough they may be vocal and trying hard but their songs are more boring than an LCFC V's QPR game. I go to support LCFC not rant on about forest & Derby.

You wont have to worry about sleep you can get 90mins kip in at the Walkers just watch the standard of play youll soon drift off. Theres even room to lay across some of the seats....and its always nice and quiet. You might hear a snipet of a crap song "Chelsea dagger" by a crap Scottish band being played once in a blue moon but dont worry over time you will hear it less and less. maybe once every two games

We dont exactly have a great song repotoire do we?
Raj Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 I go to support LCFC not rant on about forest & Derby. L1 was all about"shit on the red side of the trent" Couldn'y give a fcuk about the red side of trent to be honest Oh and a few"Gerry's" No IRA chants, which is always a good sign!!!
Guest Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 Did they actually sing any songs about Leicester City Football Club or individual players - hardly any. That's just it though, the fans don't really have anyone that they can relate to, we've seen players in the last few seasons that clearly don't give a flying fork about the club, and yet we're expected to be the ones to lift the atmosphere? From discussions within the club, they feel that it is down to us to make the atmosphere, and when I and others point out that if the club gave us something to cheer about, the noise levels will improve, they just look blankly at each other. You would have thought that the way the fans responded to the performance against Watford would have illustrated this, so what happens? They sack the manager and bring in an automoton. Supporting your team should be easy, but unfortunately it is a two way thing, and with so much apathy amongst our fan base, this football club is in dire need of some life.

Agree 100% although the odd chant in support of LCFC rather than hating forest wouldn't go amiss.
Raj Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 That's just it though, the fans don't really have anyone that they can relate to, Course we do...we got Matty Fryatt. du du du du...Matty Fryatt!!! du du du du...Matty Fryatt!!!

(out of the 1s at the back of E3)
SamL Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 maybe they should go and learn some of the older chants that ARE about the club but when i turn and look the average age of them must be about 15 ... (out of the 1s at the back of E3) Excuse me yeh but at the end of the day, we aint there to cause trouble we are there to have a laugh and get behind the team. Why sing some of the older songs when no one is going to join in with them either. People can only be arsed to join in with the clapping ones. You get looked down upon if you sing anything else. We tried to start off when you're smiling, 3 of us joined in & thats it. We are in desperate need of some new songs and a way of advertising it. Dont get on the back of the people who are actually trying to create an atmosphere
Shipman Out Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 I get bored writing it but WE NEED STANDING and a MAIN END used to home without a voice EVERY Sat at Filbo, we had loads of songs player related ect and a wit and long songs! Football supports is basically SHIT now and your pleasently surprised when its good, its not a working class sport anymore. I really miss it, when you went down you had plenty of beers went in the kop next to away fans and sung for 90mins for your team or at the away fans create atmosphere regardless, and most importantly you always had a good time off the pitch regardless of what was going on on the pitch, you could rely on it always being good whereas now it hardly ever is.

Dont get on the back of the people who are actually trying to create an atmosphere if you learnt the chants from the late 90's for instance people WOULD join in, i didn't even hear the when you're smiling chant, all the chants were about forest, megson, stand up (which has been over used so much no-one cares anymore). there are sights with the old songs on just look em up

Dont get on the back of the people who are actually trying to create an atmosphere Well Said! and keep it going I dont give a shit about 15 yr olds singing! sing louder! its not your fault you have not been lucky enough to grow up when we had an atmosphere i went in out kop at 14 and you felt intimidated learnt the songs over time and never looked back, compared to now when your the only ones singing its such a difference but keep it up. New songs were not created on a message board they were sung by a couple of pissed up blokes one week then 5 pissed up blokes the week after till it spread and spread week after week the prob now is you just dont get that. Ignore the sorts who moan about atmosphere but moan they cant see cos your standing up
Ajax Treesdown Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 The Kop vs Watford was fooking class, but today was poor. 4-1 v 1-1
Jimmy Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 4-1 v 1-1 superb passing, flowing football V hit and rush neck ache
Shipman Out Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 4-1 v 1-1 You only sing when your winning sing when your winning... Our support is fooking shit
