Jimmy Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 You only sing when your winning sing when your winning...Our support is fooking shit well its been diluted massively and spread out since the old Kop days
Daggers Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 I get bored writing it but WE NEED STANDING and a MAIN ENDused to home without a voice EVERY Sat at Filbo, we had loads of songs player related ect and a wit and long songs! Football supports is basically SHIT now and your pleasently surprised when its good, its not a working class sport anymore. I really miss it, when you went down you had plenty of beers went in the kop next to away fans and sung for 90mins for your team or at the away fans create atmosphere regardless, and most importantly you always had a good time off the pitch regardless of what was going on on the pitch, you could rely on it always being good whereas now it hardly ever is. Blahblahblahwibblewibblewibbleblahblahblah... Do something about it then. If you think everything is so shit then keep writing to the club, your MP, pressure groups - try to organise the fans in your area - write songs - sit with poor people Sounds to me like you simply enjoy moaning.

Erm yes i do like moaning thats how you do something about it if i follow your advice. Which i dont need to i have writen to my MP and other MP's i have written to the club on many occasions i have spoken to many fans who do the same. and your comment "sit with poor people"...laughable, i said its not a working class support anymore and that my prawn sandwich eating club shop buying car washing friend is FACT, so you jog on. I believe in changing things, and we will over time. Everything isnt shit just you.
davieG Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 Well Said! and keep it goingI dont give a shit about 15 yr olds singing! sing louder! its not your fault you have not been lucky enough to grow up when we had an atmosphere i went in out kop at 14 and you felt intimidated learnt the songs over time and never looked back, compared to now when your the only ones singing its such a difference but keep it up. New songs were not created on a message board they were sung by a couple of pissed up blokes one week then 5 pissed up blokes the week after till it spread and spread week after week the prob now is you just dont get that. Ignore the sorts who moan about atmosphere but moan they cant see cos your standing up we need more pissed up blokes then
Fez of Mahrez Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 Where are the blokes now who were in the old Kop at Filbo? Well, by my reckoning, they're either in L1 or they're sitting in the middle of the Kop moaning about the atmosphere. The season ticket holders in the middle of the Kop who moan about the atmosphere can f**k off as far as I'm concerned. If you're not prepared to come to the back (where there are embarrassingly large numbers of empty seats for every game) and help make an atmosphere then put up and shut up. Another thing that doesn't help is having some moron in a hi-visibility jacket giving you evils every time you're stood up. Third home game of the season today - at the first my mate got a warning, at the second another mate got chucked out without warning - yesterday I resorted to perching on the top of my seat all game and thankfully got no hassle from it but you can't enjoy a game properly having to sit down on the back row of the Kop. It's an absolute joke and they're trying to drain all the enjoyment out of the game while still imploring the fans to create an atmosphere. Give us a f**king chance.

Fully agree Ive been chucked out twice at the Walkers! once against Watford the very first game. I dont moan without singing myself i always sing at the games is why i like going, i dont go in the "kop" so i dunno what its like there didnt know there were loads of empty seats at the back, i might join you soon
Raj Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 Fez...the boys who stand up do a good job and well done for you all for trying I know i hammer the L1 ers sometimes but i love them for their enthusiasm However at filbo,we knew if we wanted atmosphere we goto the Kop. WE created an atmosphere. The Footy wasn't always great but we made it a day. Im sure the songs sang at the time didn't relate to the game but it didn't matter. I remember singing 'Iwan is a welshman' all throughout th halftime break..i think we were playing Cov??? im sure standing has alot to play in the situation...we used to stand on the seats, and i still couldn't see fcuk all! At the Walkers you cant choreograph an atmosphere...it just happens...not very often albeit, but every now and then it does. We cant just congregate everyone that sings to L1 or N1 or the Kop as there are more ascpects involved now, ie where the away fans are. I think im rambling now...sorry!
Shipman Out Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 we need more pissed up blokes then Sounds good, and Women to of course A free drink on entry, sounds good Milan? a way to build that relationship with the fan base. It shall be a small glass of rose for Daggers to complement to prawns

Raj Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 Thanks mate. The songs that i know are...What are these so called old songs from back in the day? Megson OUT!!!

It was Cov well i was sure now im thinking mmmm was it Wolves but no it was Cov The Whole of Half Time that was well good The songs sang didnt relate to the game it was to create an atmosphere, this is a problem not only at our club but across football espicially the ones who bought the Stadiums in a box. We will get there i hope for the enjoyment factor
SamL Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 Megson OUT!!! i can see your thinking but give the guy a chance
Raj Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 Those were the days eh??? But we shouldn't have a go at the youngsters,as they have to make their own songs and identity. Atleast they are having a go! Just don't like the political crap that is sung.
rigeruk Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 its hard to sing and shout after 3 seasons of rubbish football, yesterday looked like the same crap.

I've said it so many times, if you get a big group standing, the stewards will struggle, look at L1. While there are only 6 or 7 people on the back of a row trying to stand it's easy for the stewards. At Wolves I spoke to a steward after he told me to sit down and he said "we understand.."blah blah blah. They're so far up Barkleys arse it's unreal. All in it for whoever tells the most to sit down gets to clean my shoes.
DB11 Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 The atmosphere is always poor. I can't remember what it is like to have a good atmosphere, or even the last time we had one

From my experience they don't go any more, I'm aware of many, through my son that no longer go regularly. I think it's well known that since the move the demographics of the crowd has changed considerable and we have lost many <25 to 35> year olds who would have been in the Kop. Your third paragraph is why many don't go, it's not the quality of the football although heaven knows it more than shitty, it's the hostile atmosphere ironically created by the authorities and the club.
Daggers Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 Erm yes i do like moaning thats how you do something about it if i follow your advice. Micky Ruddle Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 Gary Megson's Blue and White army never really got going, but when we sang Gerry Taggert's..
Floating Fox Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 Agree 100% although the odd chant in support of LCFC rather than hating forest wouldn't go amiss. So what about "Leicester rpt" and "We love you leicester" there are loads of songs, a couple about forest isn't something to moan about. No-one seems to join in with any chants. I pity the people who paid to go to that wankfested game.
Floating Fox Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 Some of the people in this thread make me sick. "We need to stand" "We need a place to sing" DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT FOR FOOKS SAKE! You Had Nblock, which would have worked if people were BOTHERED ENOUGH to move their ST's there. People have chances to back the campaign to bring back standing, yet whenever they have to do something they shut up, typical lazy English willy puller.
ASH17LCFC Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 Yes because you did you're part in turning up for the Wycombe Wanderers FC Safe Standing day didn't you ? You're just all mouth aswell. What have you done to get standing back at football ? All you do is moan about it like the rest of us.
