Forest 2-3 Leicester Post Match Reactions

Evening Leicester fans.

I'm sure you all enjoyed the last few minutes of the match!

Firstly, Leicester have gone up a notch in my estimations for not only allowing Smith to score but for agreeing to change ends so he could do it in front of us rather than you lot!

I thought the game was good. It was even, a lot more so than I thought it would be, and, I know I'm obviously biased, but I thought for quite a chunk of the game we edged it.

It's a shame you've been lumbered with Megson as you have a few players who can really play - he'll soon stop that and bring in 90 yard passes to nobody.

I really enjoyed the tussles between Morgan at he back and the big lad up front for you, De Vries I think it was. Both seemed to give as much as they got and neither seemed to be complaing, I like it when playersjust get on with a physical game.

Your equaliser was a gut wrencher! I was right behind the goal, and took a wicked deflection which just took it away from Smith, who still got something on it, but it seemed to take an eternity to cross the line! It was almost in slow motion!

Obviously unlike your 3rd, which was a cracking finish.

Shame we through it away really, all we had to do was keep hold of the ball, but being a Forest fan I'm sed to seeing us squander leads in the last few minutes! I'm sure you all saw the Yeovil playoff match!

Anyway, good luck at Villa - If an East Midlands team has to do well, I just hope its not bloody Derby!

By the way, if any of that post came across in anyway as goading you guys or whatever, thats not my intention!

lol good post.

To be honest forest were the better team and didn't deserve to lose. You practically ran the show tonight.

Im not complaining. A win is a win. Especially under megson.

Dunno about that really, i thought it was just two shit teams, as shit as eachother really, who were void of ideas.

But i'l take it, a heart-breaking (for Forest) last minute winner like that, what is better than that?! lol

I thought first half was ours second half was theirs. What a great bit of sportsmanship though.

i heard a rumour before the game it was going to happen so stuck £5 on smith to score 1st at 66/1 so a pretty damn profitable night :D

Joe Coral has been on the phone.

He says this is insider dealing and wants his money back.

Hi another Forest fan here.

Firstly I am very greatful for the fantastic peice of sportsmanship offered by LCFC this evening and leicester have shot up in my estimations after that. :worship::thumbup:

I thought we dominated the second half, after a fairly even first (or 2nd, wichever way you look at it)

We switched off AGAIN in the final few moments and threw it away. :frusty:

Get used to defensive long ball football though. You scored 3 goals away from home tonight - Megson will be furious. :D

Congratulations on your (rarther fortuitious) win. I wish you the worst of luck for the rest of the season :D

Hopefully this gives the boys some confidence and the belief that the game isn't over til it's over

FOXES NEVER QUIT

Wakeing up at 445am to listen to the game

Going to work straight after buzzing...........Priceless

Well first of all i want to say a huge thankyou to leicester for allowing smith to score, i heard a rumour before the game it was going to happen so stuck £5 on smith to score 1st at 66/1 so a pretty damn profitable night :D

As for the match i was a bit dissapointed with the result because i didnt think we played too badly but we hit the self-destruct button again like we did against yeovil, credit to you lot you never shut up all match lol

Thanks for the free goal and a great match, just wish we had the bottle at the end but thats football, enjoy your day in birmingham.

My youngest is livid. He backed City to win 3-1 - which they did apart from the gifted goal.

Well obviously i only heard it said in a pub and i wasnt going to put much more on it, i would have felt a right tit if i had had put more on and you didnt give us the goal.

I'll take my £330 and you can have your victory, i would have taken that at the start of the night.

FAO people who went. On the radio Walsh said the team looked unfit in the second half, so would you agree with that?

Walsh was spot on. The problem needs attending to fast.

Hi to all you Leicester Boys from a Forest fan of 43 years standing.

The gesture made by your players at the start of this evening's game was the most sporting thing I have seen in 48 years of watching football.....43 of them at Forest.

Also, the abuse given to your manager by a section of our so-called fans was a disgrace......whatever we might think of his time at the City Ground.

Given the appalling circumstances of three weeks ago and the way your club handled the replay tonight with that magnificent gesture at the beginning, you fully deserved to go through to the next round.

Get behind Mandaric and Megson and with any luck you will go all the way to the Final.

Perhaps people will start believing me now then when i say the players went to an old fitness bloke for a better programme. This new bloke Ade is much needed.

I really couldn't see where an equaliser was gunna come from, and I'm not sure how Stearman scored but who cares coz we just beat the scum! I thought Hume and Fryatt linked up nicely now and again, not too impressed by DJ and course De Vries was poor again. Fulop must be signed, made a couple of crackin saves, Ngotty shouldnt be playin RB, and I dont understand why Chambers went center mid either.

But lets hope this will be the start of a few more wins, surely beating your rivlas has to kick start things.

And looks like we'll have the same manager in the morning.

Amazing result when you consider what happened in the first minute. We won 3-1 regardless what the final scoreline will say in this mornings papers and the way we won it doesn't bother me either as it was 3 goals away from home against a side we haven't beat on their own patch in 35 years.

Well done the lads and especially to Megson for his substitutions as I took him apart and made him accountable for some dodgy subs on Saturday and he has redeemed himself.

Now lets kick on!

We know that Derby are, for Forest fans, the main rivals.

We know that Derby fans think of Forest as their rivals.

We know that Cov think of Villa as their rivals.

Jeez. Even Peterborough think of Cambridge as their rivals...

If we are going to have a fierce local rivalry with anyone, WE HATE HINCKLEY !!!!

If every game with you guys is as entertaining as that then we can't get into the championship quick enough(or you down to league one  )

I was pretty guttered after the game even though you handed me a great big stash of cash because i thought we did ourselves proud tonight apart from the last 10 minutes where we bottled it again.

If its true about people throwing objects at Megson then thats a disgrace, he may have been a terrible manager to us but he still has a job to do and we stopped him doing that tonight, a few incidents involving forest fans over the last few months are starting to earn us a reputation we dont want.

I'm battered, i'm bruised but nothing can dampen my spirits after that epic! What a finale! Remeniscent of Derby away 01/02 when Savage won that penalty in stoppage time.

Overall I thought it was a game of two halves, Forest playing very much on the break in the first and us doing the same in the second. Sheehans free kick was a beaut, one of those you just know is in as soon as it left his boot. Much prefer him as a winger and with a bit more fitness could prove a valuable asset.

The centre backs did very well against the two Forest strikers who were a handful all night along with Commons who IMO was the best player on the park.

Felt an injustice for their second goal as I felt De Vries had been fouled in the lead up to it but we dug in late on and never gave up, a valuable character builder that should serve us well for the rest of the season.

Bring on the Villa! :D
