Basingstoke Fox Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 Sounded like we played pretty shite, Sounded like we deserved to be about 3 or 4-1 down but felt fooking awesome when we equalized let alone scored the winner! Get your tickets booked for the Vile Scum! AND CHARLTON!! that game better have a great atmosphere after this if youre going to charlton and planning on being quiet THEN SING YOURE HEART OUT FOR THE LADS ON SATURDAY and WHAT AN AMAZING RESULT!!!! YESSSS not convinced but i would rather that than us playing well and loosing.
Milky Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 We sounded awful in that second half. Walshy reckoned the players were lacking fitness and completely knackered, yet some on here still won't beleive me when i say the players went to an old fitness coach to get a better programme.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 We played crap but won... "Megson whats the score indeed"....
Mikey Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 Great Result I had a ticket as well to go but couldn't make it   I so wish I had been able too
Bryn Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 Just saw the goals on SSN, gorgeous freekick from Sheehan. Great finish from Stearman on his weaker foot and good work from De Vries for Clemence's, although it wasn't placed right in the bottom left and I think the keeper perhaps should have done better for the hand he got on it.

Daggers Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 That's the spirit, Daggers. I knew you loved Megson really 7 more games to go for me yet...then I'll be happy to share some Megson love. At the moment my jury is well and truly out: daft team selection, more daft substitutions and a rather listless second half performance lacking leadership on and off the field...time will see.

Well first of all i want to say a huge thankyou to leicester for allowing smith to score, i heard a rumour before the game it was going to happen so stuck £5 on smith to score 1st at 66/1 so a pretty damn profitable night As for the match i was a bit dissapointed with the result because i didnt think we played too badly but we hit the self-destruct button again like we did against yeovil, credit to you lot you never shut up all match Thanks for the free goal and a great match, just wish we had the bottle at the end but thats football, enjoy your day in birmingham.

forestrich Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 Evening Leicester fans. I'm sure you all enjoyed the last few minutes of the match! Firstly, Leicester have gone up a notch in my estimations for not only allowing Smith to score but for agreeing to change ends so he could do it in front of us rather than you lot! I thought the game was good. It was even, a lot more so than I thought it would be, and, I know I'm obviously biased, but I thought for quite a chunk of the game we edged it. It's a shame you've been lumbered with Megson as you have a few players who can really play - he'll soon stop that and bring in 90 yard passes to nobody. I really enjoyed the tussles between Morgan at he back and the big lad up front for you, De Vries I think it was. Both seemed to give as much as they got and neither seemed to be complaing, I like it when playersjust get on with a physical game. Your equaliser was a gut wrencher! I was right behind the goal, and took a wicked deflection which just took it away from Smith, who still got something on it, but it seemed to take an eternity to cross the line! It was almost in slow motion! Obviously unlike your 3rd, which was a cracking finish. Shame we through it away really, all we had to do was keep hold of the ball, but being a Forest fan I'm sed to seeing us squander leads in the last few minutes! I'm sure you all saw the Yeovil playoff match! Anyway, good luck at Villa - If an East Midlands team has to do well, I just hope its not bloody Derby! By the way, if any of that post came across in anyway as goading you guys or whatever, thats not my intention!
Thracian Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 Thrac is gonna be un-fecking-bearable tomorrow with the Sheehan goal.. I was shouting in the stand for Sheehan to take it and have mentioned his free-kick-taking ability on numerous occasions. He really does get some bend when he catches em right. What pleased me most though was his obvious delight at the end - together with a pack of the other players. Two goals and one assist in six games made up of three wins and three draws. I should think the lad feels pleased he didn't go out on loan.
mkingy Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 I don't get what was so good about Sheehan's free kick? The 'keepa lined up the wall on the right... then stood almost next to the right post?! Plus it was even close to the post. Not that i'm complaining, Getting one over Forest on their home turf - magic!
SystonFox Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 from where i was (which was in near the corner flag of the leicester fans) it looked a fantastic free kick. it hit the net though and thats all that matters really. he looks an o.k player to me, very energetic and i like it.
Tevez Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 Few things to add, bloody happy with the result tonight, thought we did the impossible. But to all them people signing one Martin Allen and all this shit, not gonna happen. Been and gone, it's Megson whether you like it or not. I'm going to sleep on this knowing that there are some Forest fans at my school who are going to feel abit gay tommorow. Goodnight and well done to Leicester City for the great sportsman ship, made me proud to be a fox.
Dobieforthefoxes Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 Nice gesture by you lot (assume it was Manderic) to gift us the 'free goal' As for the match, a typical derby-game in the first half - you started well and we came back into it. Second half, I honestly think we were the better side however we have a bizarre psychological problem, ever since THAT playoff game, of switching off in the final minutes. It cost us promotion arguably, and we lost to Leeds the same way earlier this season. I really don't know why the players just 'stopped' and let you boys back in to win it. Perplexing. But perhaps the script was written with the 'free goal' at the beginning. Who knows. Anyway, good luck in the next round. Oh, and I was very disappointed with Megson. Never had him down as the spineless type, which he did by hiding in the directors box for nearly all the evening. He is the one reason I feel sorry for Leicester fans right now. Even if he gets you winning, he will void your team of flair and will infuriate on an almost weekly basis. I hated every minute of his tenure at Forest and really feel it was a couple of seasons wasted. I hope you lot aren't saying the same thing in the future. Well, thats a lie I suppose....I guess I hope you WILL be saying that, but you know what i mean
