BigGibbo Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007  I am well & truly walking in a leicester wonderland right now what a night who else was in block W near the corner flag it was an awesome atmosphere the stewards trying to sit us down was funny behave Truly f@cking majestic
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 Commons. Class apart. The flick that he done and got round Stearman was just :wub:The ref was shite tonight as well. Wasn't there rumours that we were linked to him at start of the season
Geo V Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 Wasn't there rumours that we were linked to him at start of the season Only tabloids I think. Im sure he was out of contract but signed on for another season which tells you he is loyal but also not very ambitious as he likes playing Division 3 football.
Dames Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 Commons. Class apart. The flick that he done and got round Stearman was just The ref was shite tonight as well. He really was terrible. He played advantage to us when De Vries was fouled our player got nowhere near the ball and they scored. And for not spotting some really obvious fouls on DJ and De Vries.
BigGibbo Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 We need to sign Fulop up sharpish i feel confident with him in goal & his price is only going to get higher from here
Geo V Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 We need to sign Fulop up sharpish i feel confident with him in goal & his price is only going to get higher from here I said the same thing mate. He wont ever replace Gordon as he cost Sunderland too much money to be dropped so we should move in now and sign the big lad up before he impresses some Prem managers who need a good goalkeeper like Derby, Villa (permanent keeper needed), Middlesbro, Fulham and dare I say it, Arsenal!
BigGibbo Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 Haha Just seen my mate on skysports news about running on the pitch after sheehans goal & Just realised I had the same top on tonight as in my profile picture what a scrubber
lookwhaticando Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 Perhaps people will start believing me now then when i say the players went to an old fitness bloke for a better programme. This new bloke Ade is much needed. Maybe Milky Joe is right after all. Who is the ex-fitness bloke? We know it's not someone from the Kelly Regimeâ„¢. ------------- Sounds like a good night... good sportsmanship, good result, and about time we had a match go our way even when we've been less than brilliant (in much the same way we beat Wolves away last season, despite being totally pegged back for most of the match). Makes a nice change. Next stop, Villa.
Lillehamring Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 If every game with you guys is as entertaining as that then we can't get into the championship quick enough(or you down to league one )I was pretty guttered after the game even though you handed me a great big stash of cash because i thought we did ourselves proud tonight apart from the last 10 minutes where we bottled it again. If its true about people throwing objects at Megson then thats a disgrace, he may have been a terrible manager to us but he still has a job to do and we stopped him doing that tonight, a few incidents involving forest fans over the last few months are starting to earn us a reputation we dont want. we are world leaders on bottling it in the last 10 minutes, you don't even need to talk to us about that!
Lichfieldfox. Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 Superb sportsmanship and result. Fulop was amazing and Clem a real winner. Didn't understand why we had 6 defenders 1 midfielder and 3 strikers on pitch in second half however. Crowd hilarious when chanting there's only 1 Martin Allen at 2-1 down. Defo going to the villans.Come on Leicester.
Stevosevic Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 What a brilliant night, right up there for me with one of my favourite games. I almost broke my ankle when we scored. Can i just say, for a team that doesn't care about us in a meaningless cup competition, they sure went mental when they took the lead.
inmemoryofdoreen Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 Perhaps people will start believing me now then when i say the players went to an old fitness bloke for a better programme. This new bloke Ade is much needed. i believed you. i put a post on here a while back just after allen left saying that i knew for a fact that some of the senior players were not happy with allens training regime and were a bit embaressed when he came out and publicly said that they were all excited about his little mini world cups and them being like excited little boys when he pulled out the prizes of mars bars and about his other little games.so i`m not surprised at all when you say they went looking for a old fitness coach.
Darkzzz_ Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 What a brilliant night, right up there for me with one of my favourite games. I almost broke my ankle when we scored. Can i just say, for a team that doesn't care about us in a meaningless cup competition, they sure went mental when they took the lead. I tell you what there fans do my head in, i work with one and he is so gutted.. but before he was saying how much they didnt care... and how much we play up the rivalry... They are a bunch of tw@s....
forestrich Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 We're not all tw@ts mate. I think there is an obvious rivalry, just not as strong as against Derby. We tend to play down the rivalry as it antagonises Leicester fans!
Dobieforthefoxes Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 If its true about people throwing objects at Megson then thats a disgrace, No-one threw anything at Megson. All that happened was a bit of verbal abuse, but even that was muted somewhat as when he came down at the start, a lot of people hadn't even taken their seats in teh main stand! From my perspective, much more annoying were the pathetic coach on the Leicester Bench who turned around and started giving the crowd abuse when you got back into it. If anything was disgraceful it was that bit of professional conduct
Peacefulred Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 we are world leaders on bottling it in the last 10 minutes, you don't even need to talk to us about that! erm...did you see the Yeovil playoff game, or even the sheff utd playoff game?
Milky Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 Maybe Milky Joe is right after all. Who is the ex-fitness bloke? We know it's not someone from the Kelly Regimeâ„¢. He did some work in the Levein era, but wasn't part of the Kelly set up.
tbf Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 one of the best games i have been to. I have completely lost my voice today. We gave some amazing support, and were right behind the team the whole game even when we were losing (except maybe MDV). To be honest i was dreading the walk back to the station when we were one nil down. When we pulled it back to 2-2 i was praying for the whistle for extra time because it looked like forest were mose likely to score than us, but when we put it in i couldn't believe it, i don't think i have ever cheered so much. didn't see much fighting afterwards, there were some skirmishes but the police were on it straight away from what i saw. and to top it off i had a bet on 3-2 to leicester at 25/1!!!
Leicester's 12th Man Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 http://www.bettingzone.co.uk/story_get.cgi...ual_103214.html
Kent Fox Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 erm...did you see the Yeovil playoff game, or even the sheff utd playoff game? I'd still bet that we lose more goals in the last 10 minutes than any other team. It just happens. In fact you are not allowed to play for Leicester unless you run out of steam around the 80th minute..
BigGibbo Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 We know that Derby are, for Forest fans, the main rivals. We know that Derby fans think of Forest as their rivals. We know that Cov think of Villa as their rivals. Jeez. Even Peterborough think of Cambridge as their rivals... If we are going to have a fierce local rivalry with anyone, WE HATE HINCKLEY !!!! But im Leicester & Hinckley so wheres that leave me?
Maybes Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 http://www.bettingzone.co.uk/story_get.cgi...ual_103214.html Any ideas what ladbrokes are doing for it?
tbf Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 http://www.ladbrokes.com/lbr_sports?action...&selEvType= doesn't mention anything about offering 3-1 etc on the ladbrookes online shop

It has sheehan as first scorer though. I had clemence down as the last scorer so that should hopefully count.
