i suppose it depend on the site, it's crashed less lately, but the MA sacking day, it was up and down like an asthmatics chest i suppose if the arcade was back on it'd crash more, i don't really know, in fact i'm making all of this up.

I went on a day or two back got top score in the bandit and my swcore wasn't recorded. for some reason I was down as a guest. I exited and went back and it had my name up but not on the leaders board.

Mmmm this may have happened on lcfconline. I do not hold Foxestalk responsible if it did. cant see an arcade here. sorry admins. :D

Couldn't we just have it so when demand for the site is high, or likely too be, arcade would be unavailable?

i just scanned a few of his posts and cut and pasted a few bits.

Worked rather well, I thought.

You're mostly right... the arcade was lost during an upgrade some time ago. Then, it became clear that FoxesTalk was using much of its resource at any given time, so there was an urgent need for the consumption of resources to be reduced. And so, the arcade didn't make a return - and other features were also removed to help cut down the crashes.

Basically, since the arcade was lost, FoxesTalk has become less capable of hosting it as the posting traffic has expanded immensely.

Still... all is not lost. Perhaps you could help...

The way things have been going lately, the arcade would be off more than on.

The resource consumption is forever rising... making it difficult/dangerous to add more complexity to the forum, as you're making demands for ever more resources when the resources themselves are fixed at a given level. Unfortunately. :(
