Messi Posted 27 September 2007 Posted 27 September 2007 For those who went to the villa game last night What did you think the atmosphere was last night...? I sat in the Doug Ellis Upper P and the atmosphere was *MAGIC* singing most of the time I just wanna say thanks to all of the fans in that stand that made the night fantastic
Simi Posted 27 September 2007 Posted 27 September 2007 Much better after we scored, at the end as well. Nothing better when we're in full voice right after a goal.
Durnerz Posted 27 September 2007 Posted 27 September 2007 I was in P10 and the atmosphere was good in patches but superb after the goal as to be expected, I think like I was, everyone else was nervous and having to endure long spells of Villa pressure in the second half dampened it a bit up until the magic moment. Superb effort though from everyone made it a fantastic night and hopefully we get another away day in the next round.
josh_baskin Posted 27 September 2007 Posted 27 September 2007 Just woundering, I normaly attend about 10-15 home games a season and have always sat in D1 block. Im considering changing blocks but unsure wich part of the ground has the best atmosphere for getting behind the players. Any suggestions?
Ashley Posted 27 September 2007 Posted 27 September 2007 To be honest i expected the Atmosphere last night to be better. It got better after we scored. Aston Villa Fans (Libary)
Tommeh Posted 27 September 2007 Posted 27 September 2007 Not bad but considering there were 4000 there I'd hoped for more but it was great after we scored and when we attacked towards us 1st half. Certainly no forest, fulham, preston etc.
Glen_lcfc Posted 27 September 2007 Posted 27 September 2007 I was in Dous Ellis Upper P and atmosphere was quite good - not as good as North Stand though. Werent as good as Fulham marginally better than Forest not a patch on Preston

ASH17LCFC Posted 27 September 2007 Posted 27 September 2007 Was alright but was at the bottom and some old women behind keep telling us to sit down Then the leicester fans started singing ... STAND UP AND SUPPORT THE TEAM ... and one of them said .. why do you have to stand up to support the team ?!!!! Next game shall ask for tickets right at the back. Nearly wrecked the night they did.
lcfc_jme Posted 27 September 2007 Posted 27 September 2007 Aston Villa fans are MASSIVELY overrated. They were shocking.
ASH17LCFC Posted 27 September 2007 Posted 27 September 2007 Aston Villa fans are MASSIVELY overrated. They were shocking. 25,000 Good crowd i thought. They did make abit of noice but the holte end is the other side of the ground. So was hard to hear them. YOUR GROUNDS TOO BIG FOR YOU made me laugh ... Imgaine if we had a ground that size

YOUR GROUNDS TOO BIG FOR YOU made me laugh ... Imgaine if we had a ground that size Nonsense. I heard them sing " Holte enders in the sky" about twice all night. If the Holte end was all singing together (as it apparently does for pretty much every home game ) then we'd have heard them. It's bigger than our Kop I should imagine, and the Birmingham fans heard our Kop at home last season from the other end of the ground. Excuses excuses!!

Why the hell am i sticking up for villa ?!!! Shit support last night.

Couldn't agree more myself sitting down at a away cup tie how bad does it get we should of been up all game singing
Sods Posted 27 September 2007 Posted 27 September 2007 Stood at the back of the doug ellis, thought i was going to be in the upper tier. Was better than i thought it would be in that stand. Was mental after the goal.
ASH17LCFC Posted 27 September 2007 Posted 27 September 2007 Couldn't agree more myself sitting down at a away cup tie how bad does it get we should of been up all game singing I know was shocking, 3 old women who where talking about fine wine and what they did at the post office today. When we stood up and try to have a sing song they where like .. SIT DOWN and where poking my mate in the back. Why do old women go to games like that ? Like cup game at night want to make so noice get behind the lads and they fooking wreck it.
Sods Posted 27 September 2007 Posted 27 September 2007 Anyone have a quality bus journey back, thought someone died in ours. Why cant trains run 24/7
ASH17LCFC Posted 27 September 2007 Posted 27 September 2007 Anyone have a quality bus journey back, thought someone died in ours. Why cant trains run 24/7 same, was like we had lost 5-0. Would had been 1 big party on the train
Floating Fox Posted 28 September 2007 Posted 28 September 2007 Aston Villa fans are MASSIVELY overrated. They were shocking. Am i the only one that heard them. Was impressed. Imagine us getting beaten at home by say Tranmere (one League below)in the cup, it would be worse atmosphere than at home in the league, if possible. Villa fans we're very good imo, i could hear them, over our own support sometimes and their vocal fans are down the other end of the pitch! Plenty standing, mainly in the holte upper.
