Mikey Posted 29 September 2007 Posted 29 September 2007 Fulop - 6 - Didn't have to do much. Maybe could do better with the goal. N'Gotty - 7 - Solid as always. Kisnorbbo - 6 - OK Mcauley - 5.5 - OK, passing could have been better. Stearman - 5 - Not that good, but alright. Got caught out for their goal. Play Kaebi or Chambers here. Mattock - 7 - Did well, especially going forward. Clemence - 7 - Solidly Consistent. Chambers - 5 - Ran but not a CM. Cort - 3 - Crap. MDV - 3 - Crap DJ - 5.5 - Ran and did alright. Subs: Hume - 8 - Brilliant. Changed the game. Fryatt - 8 - See above. Kishishev - 6 - OK. Oh yeah, I met Kaebi outside the ground. Then I asked his translator if he is playing today. His translator said that he is not playing because he has a slight groin problem and will be back very soon. If that clears up why he hasn't been in the first team.
Thracian Posted 29 September 2007 Posted 29 September 2007 Fulop 6.5 (No chance with the goal and nothing wrong otherwise) Kisnorbo 7 (Basically good. Kept his distribution simple) N'Gotty 7 (Solid and reliable) McAuley 7 (Good defensive work, iffy distribution) Stearman 7.25 (Seemed to be partially res[ponsible for losing Fuller for their goal but otherwise defended okay and showed himself keen and determined to make an impression in attack). Chambers 5 (One or two decent moments and a part in the goal but generally out of place in midfield) Clemence 6 (Always our nominal hero and he did stay involved but too often his distribution was wayward.) Mattock 7.75 (Hard to fault. Sound defensively and worked himself some decent crossing situations) Cort 5 (Ordinary but seemed to pose more danger when Hume and Fryatt came on in the second half but was then taken off) DeVries 5 (Seems to have lost the inspiration that got him in the team). DJ 5 (Posed a threat at times but simply lacked the necessary support) Subs: Fryatt 7.75 (Another vital goal wich undoubtedly saved us a point.) Hume 7.25 (Worked some good moves with Fryatt and set up so many of our better moves) Kishishev 5.5 (Couldn't understand his appearance but played steadily enough. No more) Megson 3 (Negative and just failed to maintain the momentum once we'd equalised. Two more points dropped without us really ever producing our best) Entertainment value 2 (Two season ticket holders next to me went hoime. It is hard to remember anything exciting aparty from our goal)
sdb Posted 29 September 2007 Posted 29 September 2007 Fullop - 7 N'gotty - 6 McC - 6 Paddy K - 7 Stearman - 6.5 Mattock - 7.5 Clem - 6.5 Chambers - 6 MDV - 5 Cort - 5 DJ - 5.5 Hume - 7.5 Fryatt - 7.5 Kish - 6.5 Megson - 5 (silly starting team, but was logical in some ways and he changed it to his credit. lets not forget he doesn't know the players that well yet) ref - 7.5, probably the best i've seen at this level for ages (that doesnt say a lot but he got most decisions right imo)
David O'Leary Posted 29 September 2007 Posted 29 September 2007 Fulop 7 Few dodgy kicks but still looks imposingStearman 6 Was at fault for the goal but gets forward well from wing back McAuley 3 Gave away a free kick most of the time he was asked to defend and gave the ball away most of the time he tried to kick the ball, hes a lanky Dabizas. N Gotty 6 I've seen him have better games but still looked comfortable Kisnorbo 6 Played okay I suppose but got done for pace on a couple of occasions Mattock 7 Defended soundly and was pleasing to see him try and beat his full back Chambers 4 Ran about a lot but doesn't have the feet or the passing range to play in central midfield. Clemecne 5 The worst I have seen him play for Leciester, but then again he was pretty much our only midfield player at many points De Vries N/A I refuse to rate his performance as a right winger, it would be like criticising him if he were asked to play in goal and let a couple in that he should have saved. Completely and utterly lost. Campbell 5 Recieved the ball back to goal most of the time which is obviously not his strength but still could have offered more. Cort 4 Would say the same as De Vries but switch left for right, however he was no better in his stint through the middle either. Subs Fryatt 8 A striker with good movement, a bit of skill and can finish. He is at the club yet we play De Vries. Hume 7Why we wouldn't start with our most talented player I don't know. Enjoyed seiing him in attacking midfield. Kishichev 6 Did okay in the little time he was on. Megson 0 Anyone who saw that line up new what to expect. Disgraceful. Way too high
Micky Ruddle Posted 29 September 2007 Posted 29 September 2007 Fulop 7 N'Gotty 7 McAuley 6 Kisnorbo 6.8 Stearman 6 Chambers 5 Clemence 7 Mattock 7.5 de Vries (hardly noticed him) Campbell 5 Cort (i'm not even going to bother with this pile of ____) Subs: Fryatt 8 Hume 8 Kishishev 6
Thracian Posted 29 September 2007 Posted 29 September 2007 Utterly bemused by some of these ratings...Fulop 7- Couldn't do much about the goal- it swerved a helluva lot. Otherwise, solid and dependable as usual McAuley 6- Solid at the back and really useful in attacking set-pieces, but no good with the ball at his feet- his distribution was woeful, and hence why he has been marked down. N'Gotty 7.5- Quality. Much better at centre back, and still has some pace for a 36 year old! Kisnorbo 6.5- Looked uncomfortable first half, but much better second half. Stearman 6.5- I really can't make my mind up about him. Lost Fuller for the goal, and was a little edgy during the first half, but much better defensively in the second and a really useful outlet going forward. Clemence 7- Really didn't seem to know how to play it first half, but more than made up for it second half when playing it along the deck- more halves like that please! Chambers 5- MEGSON GET THIS INTO YOUR HEAD- HE IS NOT A CENTRAL MIDFIELDER!!!! Utterly wasted, felt really sorry for the bloke, although he did give his all. Mattock 8- Best I've seen the lad play this season, awesome running at players and the crosses into the box that we've all been wanting. Not bad defending either. Definitely a better bet than Sheehan if he continues in this vein. De Vries 6- I thought he did alright first half; arguably our best player up to the break. He held the ball up okay, and got involved. Definitely better than Cort. Didn't think he'd played as poorly as Megson seemed to make out in the post-match interview. Campbell 3.5- The way we were playing didn't really suit him, but he was brushed off the ball far too easily for me. Never once looked like getting in a goal scoring situation. Cort 3- Why on earth he was left on whilst De Vries was unceremoniously benched bemuses me. First touch was awful and he seems to have lost a yard of pace. Got a bit annoyed with the Kop's treatment of him though; it wasn't necessary. Subs: Fryatt 7.5- The change in movement up front was frightening. Excellent interplay with Hume and a great finish for the goal. Should have had a second when Kishishev delayed the ball and Fryatt would have been through on goal. Hume 7.5- Utterly changed the way we played the game. Linked up the play between midfield and attack really well, and again understands how Fryatt plays. These two must have a prolonged run together. Kishishev 6.5- Best I've seen of him. Really wanted it today. Was aggressive and did the simple things well... except for when he should have played Fryatt in. Megson 5- Never should have started with that attack, and I think he knows it, but well done to him for changing it BUT Cort should never have remained on the pitch and for God's sake CHAMBERS IS NOT A MIDFIELDER! Kop 0- Disgraceful section of the Kop booing the lads off at half time and barracking Cort at every ball- even when he got in the way of a Fryatt shot he could never have hoped to avoid. Ref 2- Played into Stoke's gamesmanship all the time, waay to finicky whilst at the same time missing some obvious decisions. Glad you mentioned the ref. During an injury break after a 50-50 clash successive Stoke players talked him in to booking McAuley at the first available opportunity. He should have sent all of them away on pain of a booking.
Mark Posted 29 September 2007 Posted 29 September 2007 Fulop 7 McAuley 5 N'Gotty 5 Kisnorbo 5 Stearman 5 Clemence 5 Chambers 3 Mattock 7 de Vries 3 Campbell 3 Cort 3 SUBS; Fryatt 7 Hume 7 Kishishev 3 Megson 1 for correcting things for the start of the second half, but it's just not enjoyable watching a Megson team win, lose or draw, sorry Gary.
BigGibbo Posted 29 September 2007 Posted 29 September 2007 Harsh on Chambers there mark how can you say he was as bad as cort etc he's got pace & energy about him at least
Hullfox Posted 29 September 2007 Posted 29 September 2007 Entertainment value 2 (Two season ticket holders next to me went home) I think you'll find that they just moved seats.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 29 September 2007 Posted 29 September 2007 I think you'll find that they just moved seats. :w00t:
ASH17LCFC Posted 29 September 2007 Posted 29 September 2007 Fulop 7 N'Gotty 6 - Was sloppy first half McAuley 6 - Alright but some crap passes Kisnorbo 6 - Cant really remember him Stearman 6 - Crap crossing lets him down but some good tackles Chambers 6 - He isn't a centre midfield FFS Clemence 6 - People over rate him, likes too play the ball in the air all the time Mattock 7 - Spme good running and some good crossing .. Well done de Vries 5 - Was trying to make something happen and should have stayed on Campbell 3 - WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY Cort -1 - Why us god ? Subs: Fryatt 8 - Changed the game and ran his socks off. Hume 8 - Ran his socks off and good link up play with matty fryatt Kishishev 5 - Don't rate him at all. (yet i have too)
Hullfox Posted 29 September 2007 Posted 29 September 2007 N'Gotty 6 - Was sloopy first half And sloopy is what exactly???? Kishishev 5 - Don't rate him at all. But you have rated him.
Daggers Posted 29 September 2007 Posted 29 September 2007 I think you'll find that they just moved seats...And sloopy is what exactly???? But you have rated him. When I grow up I want to be Hullfox.
ASH17LCFC Posted 29 September 2007 Posted 29 September 2007 I meant sloppy and i don't rate him at all but i had to give him a rating. So you work that out. If you want to grow up to live in hull then you need you're head testing ... Rather live in luton.
Bert Posted 30 September 2007 Posted 30 September 2007 Megson. What a great way to win the fans over. drop your best player, and the player that won you the match Wednesday night. Fulop 7 - Commands his area brillaintly. Bruno 8 - I had doubts when he joined, but he's been our best defender this season. Kisnorbo 7 - Why was he ever considered a midfielder? McAuley 5 - Poor passing, fouled too much, poor game by his standards. Stearman 7 - Playing well, Wing back seems to suit him. Mattock 7 - Confidence is growing the more games he plays, Never afraid. Chambers 5 - Lots of energy, but that's about it, VERY wasteful in possesion. Clem 7 - Sprayed lot's of lovely balls around, tried to urge the team on. De Vries 6 - Why he started i don't know, did nothing. Cort 4 - Why? Campbell 5 - I don't think he was the man to take off, worked hard, but to no avail. Fryatt 8 - Great work, great finish, he needs to start every game. Hume 7 - Unbeleivable that he was dropped, the guy is just class apart. Kish 6 - Tried the killer passes but they pretty much came to nothing. Megson 0 - You Twat.
TrickyTrev Posted 30 September 2007 Posted 30 September 2007 I meant sloppy and i don't rate him at all but i had to give him a rating. So you work that out. If you want to grow up to live in hull then you need you're head testing ... Rather live in luton. Shhh you, nothing wrong with growing up in Luton.
Flynny Posted 30 September 2007 Posted 30 September 2007 Fulop 7 (Bad luck for the goal, otherwise solid. Looked to distribute fast so many times and no-one was making the run) Stearman 6.5 (Good enough. He still hits too many long balls but they're not so aimless at all) McAuley 6 (Decentish, slightly iffy) N'Gotty 5.5 (Why's he been rated so highly? Lots of basic errors today. Passed it straight to a stoke player three times at least. I rate him as a player but it wasn't his best game) Kisnorbo 7 (Best of the three, solid as ever. SHORT PASSING!) Mattock 8 (Best performance of the season for him, looks the part at wing-back) Clemence 5 (His worst game for us, didn't help being the only real midfielder and trying to make passes when no-one moved an inch. Let down by the rest of the team.) Chambers 5 (Tries his hardest and does a decent job, but he's not a midfielder. Poor guy) de Vries 5 (Didn't move and didn't look like he wanted the ball) Campbell 5.5 (Lost the ball slipping a lot, but this was the first game where he looked to have at least a few ideas, even if he was ineffective at times) Cort 3 (He'd get zero were it not for a couple of balls taken nicely on the chest and held up) SUBS: Fryatt 7.5 (Point to prove?) Hume 7.5 (Looked good as a midfield-attack linkup player and as a forward) Kishishev 6.5 (Didn't make any real mistakes, supported Mattock well, added bustle in the centre of the pitch)
Ultra Posted 30 September 2007 Posted 30 September 2007 Fulop - 6 Stearman - 6 McAuley - 6 N'Gotty - 6 Kisnorbo - 6 Mattock - 7 Chambers - 5 (would've been 4 but for the assist) Clemence - 5 Cort - 5 De Vries - 5 Campbell - 4 Fryatt - 6 Hume - 6 Kishishev - 6 Kop - 8* - for endurance of yet ANOTHER 90 minutes of dross.
Blue Bob Posted 30 September 2007 Posted 30 September 2007 I havent got the energy to score these muppets individually. I dont think any of the players are worth more than 5 based on that shocking first half performance, exceptions of Fryatt and Hume who actually tried to play football 7. Cort gets a very generous 2.
Daggers Posted 30 September 2007 Posted 30 September 2007 Kop - 8* - for endurance of yet ANOTHER 90 minutes of dross. Stop talking to them during the game then.
Lillehamring Posted 30 September 2007 Posted 30 September 2007 You know nothing about my "lack of football knowledge". I can only comment on what I have seen this season as far as he is concerned and as far as his past is concerned that is of no relevance to his current performers. Schevchenko was one of the best strikers I have seen play live and now he is not. Players lose form and sometimes recover it some do not. Today Chambers was very very poor. I would not doubt his effort but for a professional player to pass the ball directly out of play on three occassions and under no pressure is not acceptable. According to my match stats only 34% of his passes went to a Leicester player> That is not good enough. As for getting off his back well unless he reads this forum I doubt he cares very much about my opinion and if I feel any player has a bad game for us then I shall not cease from saying so. not doubting this, but where do find this sort of stat (i am a nerd...)
Thracian Posted 30 September 2007 Posted 30 September 2007 I think you'll find that they just moved seats.
