32 pounds for a TV license? It's a disgrace!

It's far too low. With the excellent service the BBC provides, it should be at least 400 pounds!

 NTNON. :worship:

:D

I would gladly sell all my possessions and put my wife on the game for the BBC.

(Or something like that.)

Mrs Cook of Stevenage:

What tremendous value the BBC license fee is! I wish all the critish would stop whining about it. I would willingly pay 400 pounds a year for mine!

Concerning the test card:

Ms Jay of Putney:

Well done the BBC, another winner! :D

Mr Pitman of Camberwell:

The test car is quite magnificent. It justified the license fee on it's own. Personally, I think the fee is far too low. I would willingly sell my house and all its contents to help the BBC.

Mr Mulligan of Roehampton:

I think the BBC is a load of crap!

find a friend who works at the Leicester Royal Infirmary.

get them to keep an eye out for any clinical trials that happen.

I did a trial for the bird flu vacination ( the drug had already been tested and deemed to be safe) they just wanted to check different methods of administering it( simple jab in the arm or putting it in a vein) and different strengths of it. one jab, a few weeks later another jab. they checked my pulse each time and then fifty quid in my pocket.

also a few people take part in trials at the leicester clinical research centre. you get paid quite well, obviously. it might have a different name, now...

they are also looking for volunteers to do clinical trials in london St.Georges Hospital and mayday i think it says i think that place says that you get paid £100 for every 600mls of blood... they'll not take more than that im guessing in a single visit . Or the clinical trials you can get paid upto £100 each day

getting paid for sitting in bed sounds great to me!

How much do they pay for a jiz session at the clinic these days? Or donating blood? Two great options to make some extra money surely?!

I want to go to your blood doner. They don't pay you. Do they?

Maybe a lollipop and a smile. But I'm not convinced that's legal tender.

Jiz however - there's a thought.

I thought about this. You actually get about £500-£1000 for every pot you produce.

I thought 'easy money' ....wrong.

Some good advice was recieved about the long term implications of handing out jiz to anyone. One day the child produced from that sample you gave to buy a PS3 will be knocking at your front door wanting to know who their real father is!! Next thing you'll be forking out for 15 years worth of missed birthdays and Christmas presents

Don't you sign a waiver that your details are not to be exposed and that you are not liable for any child support etc

Also TV licence is quite funny i live in a house of 5 and we have 7 fully functinal TV's that could get costly :D

Yea - cities and towns would run just fine without anyone to organise them...

Thank God I'm not a dickhead, old person and/or a nutcase...

I'm probably thinking more of the Australian example - we have councils, state governments and a federal government. The state governments do all the work and leave the dregs of petty squabbles and footpaths to the councils. Scrap the councils and make the state government bigger IMO.

The License fee is charged on a per household basis.

You live in a house of 5 with 7 televisions... you pay for just one license - £135.50 this year. Unless you only have a black and white, which is much cheaper.

There are a few cases where that changes (the blind get a discount, the elderly get it free, and the license fee is paid by tenants as well as the landlord in some rented accommodation). But for your average family household, just the one license will suffice.

Nah, blood donation is purely voluntary.

You get tea and biscuits at the end though.

Banging.
