Raj Posted 19 October 2007 Author Posted 19 October 2007 Just some boring stuff to look out for this month... In the early morning, look East and the Brightest 'object' in the sky is Venus. You won't miss it as it is VERY Bright. Above it (a reddish object) is Saturn. Look to South and another reddish object is Mars. In the early evening Looking South you will see Jupiter which will be a bright star-like object! Hope atleast One person finds this a little interesting!!!!

Pretty cool you know. I saw it in September/ October. Looked rather snazzy. I used to love space when i was a young 'un, got the telescope in the attic i think. Used to scare myself looking through it on my own, didn't know what i'd see Ive saw the tiny tiny ring round Saturn through it, loads of planets round Jupiter... and looking at the moon was amazing, you could actually see the craters and loads of detail

Got a decent pair of Bioculars too. You cant beat it mate. Get out and have a look in the dark and you'll be amazed at what you can see. Also gives you a sense of realism and how MASSIVE the Universe is......i'll stop now before i really get boring!!!
Raj Posted 14 December 2007 Author Posted 14 December 2007 does all that stuff help you see into the future, and tell peoples fortunes and things like that Too right it does. It says City will win The FA Cup in 2009 and The Champions League in 2010. Also England will win the 2010 Thingymagig and all that....

danny. Posted 14 December 2007 Posted 14 December 2007 amazing photos, thanks for the link raj why do you keep saying you are boring? I find space/astromony infintely more interesting that the whole "lets go out and get drunk for no reason every weekend" mentally of most 'normal, non-boring' people...

Like I said, I used to have one meself. Cost a bit too, albeit from Argos I remember being about 7? Coming out of my grans on a Sunday night and looking up to see a comet. I remembered my dad saying we'd be able to see one soon... I ran back round and on to the park, with my telescope. It actually was amazing and like you say, puts things into perspective - and sometimes scared me!

Raj Posted 14 December 2007 Author Posted 14 December 2007 Tis amazing when you show someone something for the first time. showed my Mrs Saturn earlier this year and she was gobsmacked(even though i dragged her out of bed at 11pm!!!) Even my niece, who hates me,actually said thanks when i showed her a close up of the moon and its craters! Everyone should have the opportunity to see these objects within our own Universe.....boring again...sorry!!!
