Well you had talks with Paul Ince in the summer, who recently turned down the Palace job.

Maybe Milan will go back for him. Great appointment if it were to be him.

Staunton... I only put him in there as a reserve option as he has just lost a job...

Do you really think he has the passion to lift us!?! He's just failed with a squad that really could have qualified for Euro 2008... Mick McCarthy did better than him!!!

I would love to have Ince in... but do you think he'd come after he was second choice last time and he's in a new job now?

I dread to think who will be next, lets face it we only ended up with Megson because no one else wanted the job. For what its worth i'd go for Newell or Grayson as we are never going to get Jewell but at least Warnock has already got a job!

All I know is that you had talks with him. Nothing else. I don't think he was ever offered the job.

Palace were talking to him before they appointed Colin and was told that he turned down that job so whether or not he'll come, I don't know. I've been told that he wants to finish this season at MK Dons so it's more than likely that he'll jump ship then.

Can't blame him really, hes started a job and might aswell finish it.

Was just a suggestion. I'll try and find out more.

Could someone add Paul Ince as a choice and remove Glen Roeder? Nobody wants Roeder! I can't change it even though I created the thread... :(

a fine advert for loyalty and deceny Incy would be...

We'd only be his 3rd club in less that 6 months...

Stuart Pearson was at the game last night cant see us having any under 21 international prospects can you

who's stewart pearson? :S

John Gregory is bound to apply and may well get the job.

That would be conclusive and irrefutable proof that the chairman's mind has gone.

It would also condemn us to the same fate Gregory's previous club were heading for - League 1.. :(

An unbelieveable appointment by Bolton, who could have guessed that Megson would be out of work for 15 months, before suddenly getting a job at a desperate Championship club. He did basically bugger-all for a couple of months, then gets recruited as the saviour of a Premier League club. Absolute madness.

Here's the thing, I couldn't care less if Megson had stayed or not, the fact is, Mandaric has dicated the terms of managing Leicester City. He's now 2 managers into the 20 he said he'd be prepared to go through to get the club back to the Premier League. I don't even know where to start describing how stupid that statement was. Look at his record at Pompey (Alain Perrin anyone?), look at the appointment of Martin Allen (did he do ANY research into Allen, did he ask ANYONE in the game about the man's character, did he demand ANY references???), and look at that "20 managers" statement. Forget feeling sorry for Mandaric, he got lucky with Harry Redknapp at Pompey and had to beg him to return to protect their Premier League status, so he could sell the club to someone far richer than himself.

Mandaric is small fry financially in the grand scheme of things, and he just hasn't got a clue. Which manager of true quality would want to touch us with a barge pole? Has he got that many contacts overseas, cos so far he's attracted Sergio Hellings and Hossam Kaibi!!

This is a sad day. Not losing Megson, just seeing our club descend into farce. Another season written off. What has Mandaric done since he took over that has convinced anyone on this board that he knows hoiw to run a Football club?

Rant over...

What do people think about Gary Speed as player manager

Not a bad shout.

Just as a player would be amazing! I'm not sure about manager though. Maybe a coach.

Do you really want to take a risk with a manager? Or would you prefer someone with experience?
