It'll be Dowie.

However I would like Jewell.

think you maybe right.

Dowie was always top on MM's hitlist and with all the troubles at Cov this maybe his chance to get him....but i aint bothered who it is now...im past caring! :(

Have said it before: Sean O'Driscoll (Doncaster, formerly Bournemouth). Plays an attractive passing game that is attack minded. Or. Larry Grayson with Steve Thompson as coach. Would bring Hoolahan and Kiegan Parker. A bit of loyalty also methinks.

Alternatively it could be time to give Bernie the reigns.

To be serious, i think Bernie could hold the answer.

Give him a chance i say.

His team talk will get them all going!

Glenn Roeder's son lives in the floor below me at uni, i saw Roeder when he dropped him off on the first day. Great for him to spend more time with his son by moving to the area and becoming the manager. :o

Paul Jewell for me. Out of work so wouldn't have to pay any compensation and has experience of getting teams promoted to the premiership. Also a good motivator and can get the best out of the players.

Steve Bumhole? Need somebody appropriately named that can take the shit.

With his negative style of play, I said Megson would be gone come bonfire night, so not far off. We need an attack-minded/creative managerial mind, so please, please not Glenn Rodent. Thus, perhaps Glenn Hoddle  or Kevin Keegan?

Jewell is by far the best candidate available - if he's rejected Bolton, then there's obviously very little chance in him coming here. Although, he might be put off by Bolton being too similar to Wigan in tems of size, location and stature - whereas with us, we have a bigger fan base, and perhaps more potential - crying out for someone who relishes a challenge while escaping the spotlight of the Premiership temporarily.

Yeah, a hopeful thought.

I'll put forward Dave Penney's name again (sorry to those who already know my view on him) - terrific managerial record, albeit in League 1/2. He led Doncaster to 2 successive promotions from the Conference to League 1 (a certain MON achieved that with Wycombe). Now at Doncaster, 3rd in the league and flying.

The appointment of Dowie would evoke the same reactions as when I heard that Megson had been picked up. Disapointment, bewilderment and anger. It'd be a backwards step, considering that there are so many managers that would love to come and manage us. The man's doing a decent job at the Sky Blue Shite, not a good one. Can't we appoint a manager who's doing well at the minute?
