Wherethefoxhat? Posted 5 November 2007 Posted 5 November 2007 Believe me---------i'll back the chairman to the hilt & i'm know different to any other fan who want's to see us back where we SHOULD be---------BUT, i keep hearing MM say he want's a manager to match his ambition etc SO why bother with HASBEENS or perhaps NEVER HAVE BEEN'S (if the truth's known) like ROYAL OR REID (and before you say it ,i'v seen Royal's so called record). Get it RIGHT this time Milan & bring in a YOUNG,ambitious manager with MODERN methods & refreshing outlook ------------not somebody whose been out of work for yonks with the same OUTDATED,TIRED,BORING CRAP.

If the club has ambition then Milan needs to go for someone proven. Ambition is nothing if you don't have ability. Royle has a great record, as does Jewell. And not all of them play like Smegson Did this really require a new thread?
Alexikokopops Posted 5 November 2007 Posted 5 November 2007 Come on then clever clogs. Who? I'm hazarding a guess at Simon Grayson
Raj Posted 5 November 2007 Posted 5 November 2007 Come on then clever clogs. Who? MARTIN JOL!!! Or Jose Mourinho!

I know what you are saying but young and Modern doesnt always work.. Sammy Lee proved that at Bolton. We need a sensible appointment. Someone who can work with the players we have and make 2 or 3 quality signings. Been mentioned before I know but I wouldnt mind seeing Paul Ince given a chance. I think if Jewell was coming he would be here by now (would like to be proved wrong on that one!!) I wouldnt mind Royle, has a decent track record and plays an attacking style, Reid.... I hope not but think we could do a lot worse than Souness. I am glad that the talk about Dowie seems to have died down, Wouldnt like him to have got it.

Royle HAS not got a GREAT record -you're deluding yourself----------he's past his sell by date-that's why he's been out of work for so long!!
Fat Ron Posted 5 November 2007 Posted 5 November 2007 Royle HAS not got a GREAT record -you're deluding yourself----------he's past his sell by date-that's why he's been out of work for so long!! If you feel there is someone better out there name them?
Thracian Posted 5 November 2007 Posted 5 November 2007 Royle HAS not got a GREAT record -you're deluding yourself----------he's past his sell by date-that's why he's been out of work for so long!! Royle is 58. Sir Alex Ferguson is 65 - is he past his sell-by date too? And guess what age Wenger is? Yes, 58! Special age 58.
The People's Hero Posted 5 November 2007 Posted 5 November 2007 Royle is 58. Sir Alex Ferguson is 65 - is he past his sell-by date too? And guess what age Wenger is? Yes, 58! Can I read this as you throwing your hat in to the ring? Or even your ring in to the hat?
Fez of Mahrez Posted 5 November 2007 Posted 5 November 2007 Royle HAS not got a GREAT record -you're deluding yourself----------he's past his sell by date-that's why he's been out of work for so long!! Some old-style FIAB capital punishment there. Lovely.

They were'nt that age when they went to Man U & Arsenal respectively and both were sucessfull at their former clubs & not out of work like the NEW flavour of the month Royle.
Fat Ron Posted 5 November 2007 Posted 5 November 2007 They were'nt that age when they went to Man U & Arsenal respectively and both were sucessfull at their former clubs & not out of work like the NEW flavour of the month Royle. Who would you like to see get the job Sperrick? On a SERIOUS note.
Thracian Posted 5 November 2007 Posted 5 November 2007 They were'nt that age when they went to Man U & Arsenal respectively and both were sucessfull at their former clubs & not out of work like the NEW flavour of the month Royle. Royle has been fairly consistently successful - and has presided over some decent football too. Royle spent a long time in the game before his 18 months respite. It may have done him good rather than the reverse.
