James. Posted 5 November 2007 Posted 5 November 2007 SO SORRY--------I STAND CORRECTED--------how remiss of me.I'll try & get it right in future !! Yeah but seriously WHO DO YOU WANT AS MANAGER? Or, as Kokopops pointed out, is this just another Simon Grayson thread?
Fox in a Box Posted 5 November 2007 Posted 5 November 2007 Lets stop now. Too many Jims', this could go on all day Timmy then!
Manwell Pablo Posted 5 November 2007 Posted 5 November 2007 They were'nt that age when they went to Man U & Arsenal respectively and both were sucessfull at their former clubs & not out of work like the NEW flavour of the month Royle. I bet you don't even know which clubs they managed without checking never mind how succesfull they were. How was Joe Royal not a success at previous clubs, only a utter moron would say he didn't do a job at Oldham and Everton.
Wherethefoxhat? Posted 5 November 2007 Author Posted 5 November 2007 Who would you like to see get the job Sperrick? On a SERIOUS note. LIKE I SAID--A YOUNG AMBITIOUS,FRESH ,MOTIVATIONAL,INDIVIDUAL -SOMEONE WHO HAS ALREADY GAINED RESPECT WITHIN THE GAME & HAS ACHIEVED A TOKEN OF SUCCESS,EITHER AS A MANAGER OR A COACH, WITHIN THE MODERN GAME. STEVE CLARK SIMON GRAYSON MARTIN LING PAUL INCE Take your pick

ithuriel Posted 5 November 2007 Posted 5 November 2007 maybe ive heard wrong but i doubt it. the rumour i have heard is that all the money for players this season has been spent so who ever comes in will have to make do. maybe thats why we are having to trawl through the managerial dross because we can not attract anyone decent at present.

( I honestly dont know?!?!) Paul Ince - For me, out of the 4 you mentioned I have to say I would be fairly Happy with Ince. Still feel that we need experiance and none of the above have a great deal of it.

I dont believe that, Milan was going to make money available to Ginger Bolocks in January. Having said that, it wouldnt hurt to cut some of the dead wood we have in the squad.

Davies didn't have much & he took the shaggers up(with backing) Keane did'nt have it & he took S/land up-----------------------------you can go on--------------- The whole thing is a bit of a risk Slicker ----------------------------it's only my opinion New young blood------------new FRESH ideas !!
Monk Posted 5 November 2007 Posted 5 November 2007 Davies didn't have much & he took the shaggers up(with backing) Ha - no pun intended right.

Fair Play, My opinion is that we need someone to come in and steady the ship. We have a tad of cash to spend now and the last thing we need is an inexperianced League 1 Manager coming in and thinking he's just won the lottery ( Ala Peter Taylor) I agree with you that this time the appointment needs to be spot on, another mistake with Managment would almost certainly see this season gone and could have an adverse effect with players moving forward. Ideally we need someone with Premier League experiance (Whatever decade!!) so that the players we have are aware of where they are and where they could be. I believe that O'Neill had a great deal of respect from players becasue of what he had achieved as a player previously. On that note I would welcome Grayson or Ince as the new gaffa but would be wary of Ling. For me, I'd like to see Jewell although would be suprised to see him here if he isnt interested in Bolton (UEFA Cup) or Wigan, failing that Royle has the experiance to work with the kinds of players we have and has experiance over the years in the Transfer market. You can guarentee he has good networks through out the leagues.

I dont care if their "fresh" or not just as long as they work. And an experienced manager is more likely to have them. Get Royale in I say.

Here Here...give Royle the gig..even if we don't get up this season at least it will be worth watching...we need some entertainment or it gets bloody cold on the terraces this time of year!
ASH17LCFC Posted 5 November 2007 Posted 5 November 2007 WHERE'S THE MONEY GONE ? I thought when Milan took over we would signed the likes of Kaka, Ronaldinho and Henry. Get a world class manager in like Mourinho and win the league by september. But really, i think we showed ambition by signing people like Dj, Clemence and kabei. Brought in a good up and coming manager in Martin Allen and everything look set for a really good season. It just hasn't worked yet, and going through 2 managers already. Isn't good for the club. If we could get abit of stability, then maybe we could start winning games of football and going up the league. We have the players to do so. We just need the right man this time.
Manwell Pablo Posted 5 November 2007 Posted 5 November 2007 We showed plenty of ambition, just not enough intelligence in the signings, the only ones who have come close to repaying their price tag are Clemance N'Gotty and Chambers and TBH the latter two only because they were free!
MPH Posted 5 November 2007 Posted 5 November 2007 Royle is 58. Sir Alex Ferguson is 65 - is he past his sell-by date too? And guess what age Wenger is? Yes, 58! Special age 58. burrows is somthing like 63 too, i think... maybe thats whats against him... would be happy with royle
renards Posted 5 November 2007 Posted 5 November 2007 I think he 's a cook now! Well i thought it was funny
