Sods Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 Put me right off. I shall have fun watching non-league on saturday. Thats the attitude
Bert Posted 7 November 2007 Author Posted 7 November 2007 One of the stewards was a spit for Aidy Boothroyd. I was gonna ask the miserable tw@'s if they were bullied at school. But i thought they'd chuck me out for that.
Floating Fox Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 Great essay! I had problems with stewards at Leeds in 00/01. They really do think they own the place! If you did want CCTV you can get it under the freedom of information act thing. Seen it done by a client at work from the cameras at Filbert Street. Yeah but I have to pay £20 Quid for it, and still won't be able to prove anything.
Floating Fox Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 Are you going Gresley pal? Yeah hopefully. Thracians right about people in authority not expecting a rection when they wrongly accuse someone! Davie, I agree with you, I don't think there is anything I can do about it.

Floating Fox Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 Watch Brackley instead. One day. If they make the play-offs (possible) I'll come
Sods Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 One day. If they make the play-offs (possible) I'll come Ent going to happen this year unforunately, although they are making a fair game of it. Leamington next year though.
Floating Fox Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 Ent going to happen this year unforunately, although they are making a fair game of it. Leamington next year though. Well there in the play-offs atm! Leamington I'm there for that if they don't make play-offs then.
Sods Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 Well there in the play-offs atm! Leamington I'm there for that if they don't make play-offs then. Yeah but they wont be for long unfortunately, great, leamington fans are quality. Train station as well
David O'Leary Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 Got told about this today by Mickihambo. What a fooking disgrace
Bert Posted 7 November 2007 Author Posted 7 November 2007 Unlucky mateHow come you got chucked out? Read the thread and you'll see.
Simi Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 It's the same thing with all stewards. Once your card is marked. You are going to go. Fact. That's the attitude they have, complete w*nkers. The Preston fans are a bunch of gobshites as well.
Brainy Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 As someone who doesn't even go to ANY games, nevermind one on a Tuesday night hundreds of miles away, your laughing smilie makes you look a bit of a twat (that's assuming you're laughing because someone travelled across the country to support his club only to get thrown out for seemingly innocuous reasons). Meaning you're the one who looks a bit of a twat as your assumption is wrong.
Finnegan Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 Meaning you're the one who looks a bit of a twat as your assumption is wrong. I dunno mate. I'm pretty sure 99.8% of your posts make you look like a bit of a twat.
crisp monster Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 sorry to hear about this after the effort and expense its enough to put you off going again as if watching City for 90 mins isn't bad enough reminds me of Tranmere on a Friday night back in the 90's, when the local force where throwing anyone they could grab in the slammer
James. Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 Meaning you're the one who looks a bit of a twat as your assumption is wrong. The assumption may well be wrong young fella me lad but my point remains a salient one, as Mr Finnegan was kind enough to highlight.
Guest Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 A bit of common sense from the stewards wouldnt have gone amiss. The stewards at Preston are notoriously abysmal and lacking in common sense. Thats the thing, I did do something wrong, I was abusive to the steward. then maybe he would have seen I didn't do anything in the first place. Worra cooont. You should see the low steps that the police take to try and conjure up a section 5 (Public Order Act 19something or other) just so that they can arrest you. If ever one says that you are shouting or abusive when you are not, tell them that you are not being so for the purpose of a section 5, then they quickly back off!
Simi Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 I was reading on Standupsitdown the other day. You have the right not to give ANY information to a steward. It's amazing how much they try to take the law into there own hands.

Durnerz Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 I remember the Preston stewards being the worst i've ever come across. Actually looking for trouble rather than sitting back and taking in whats going on around them. There was a group of us last time, around 50 or so around the top of the stand standing having a sing song, as the Preston lads across the plastic divide were doing and by half time our group was reduced to 20 for people being chucked out for nothing at all. I hardly see how a group of 50 will cause another Hillsbrough and has not even uttered a derogatry word to the Preston supporters but for those wankers thats justification enough to piss on your afternoon.

WHAT? ALL FOOTBALL FANS ARE THUGS! Football fans + Standing = Red mist for stewards. Especially when you look them in the eye when you're standing. Most of them HATE that with a passion. Just another point, anybody see that guy with the Rubix cube at the Blackburn game? Surely that's more dangerous than a bottle without a lid?
The Stig Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 Thats the problem with football stewards, they get a relfelcetive jacket and think they're god. Even a heavy "anymore trouble and your're out" warning would've been better after you travelled all that way. You'd have thought that they would apply a bit of common sense. I bet the steward who threw Andy out was a Preston fan, and therefore biased in his judgement.
Brainy Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 The assumption may well be wrong young fella me lad but my point remains a salient one, as Mr Finnegan was kind enough to highlight. I have 252 pages of my posts, 25 per page. If they were that bad i'd have 2 pages. Weren't you the one last night in live chat that wanted peace between Ash and QYJJF? Everytime I post something regarding a Leicester game and you think im wrong, you bring up the "I havent been to a Leicester game" discussion looking for a reaction. Oops you did it again.
