Bert Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 Who got kicked out of the ground two minutes before kick off! Felt right sorry for the lad, paying his money, a long journey and then waiting on his own in the streets of Preston until the game was done. We could see him in the street from the stands.
syston_fox Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 and he got chased by some pikeys from what I heard!! I really hope he gets at least his money back! No need for throwing him out for nothing after travelling all that way on a tuesday night! Absolute joke!!!

We could see him in the street from the stands. What reason did they give. Also seeing him out side from the stands would have been very funny
Bert Posted 7 November 2007 Author Posted 7 November 2007 What reason did they give. Also seeing him out side from the stands would have been very funny He was supposed to have thrown something. I was 5 yards away and didn't see anything. Yeah, we kept waving at him.
syston_fox Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 He was supposed to have thrown something. I was 5 yards away and didn't see anything.Yeah, we kept waving at him. Im sure he was taking pictures of us from the street - kept seeing the bright orange light of a phone. A bit of common sense from the stewards wouldnt have gone amiss. We'd all travelled all that distance on a cold tuesday night and he's had it ruined straight away. Had a word with him or given him a warning would have been sufficient if they thought he'd done something wrong?!?!

Yeah that would have been the best course of action, Some not all Security or Stewards like to try and justify there wage "look at me i just kicked some one out im so awesome"

We could see him in the street from the stands. He seems a decent sort. If you know him, tell him to contact our club and explain what REALLY happened. Hopefully he'll atleast get his money back.
SamL Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 What a joke. Sounds funny but he aint the type of bloke to throw something. Stewards need to get some common sense, they are beyond a joke now. Unlucky Andy
James. Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007  As someone who doesn't even go to ANY games, nevermind one on a Tuesday night hundreds of miles away, your laughing smilie makes you look a bit of a twat (that's assuming you're laughing because someone travelled across the country to support his club only to get thrown out for seemingly innocuous reasons).
Simi Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 A typical 'your card is marked, you'll be going' approach from that silly **** of a steward. Andy did not actually do anything wrong, but the steward insisted that me, ld3 and Andy needed to be watched and "we would be next" When Andy argued his case that he had done nothing, which he hadn't he took him to the end of the row, Andy being Andy, he argued his case, next thing I saw was Police escorting him down the stairs. Nice of the Police to leave him roaming the streets of Preston, a bunch of pikey chased him around with a baseball bat, the Police didn't manage to do anything though.

Seriously you need to have a word with our club to clear his name and bring this to someone's attentionat Preston. It may not come to anything but you gotta try innit?

SamL Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 What a joke. Who was he supposed to have thrown something at?
Raj Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 Oh believe me, we will be following this up. Especially with Andy being a moderator on Standupsitdown!Peter Jones you reckon? First call Peter Jones. As im sure you know he's a top man and always helpful.
potter3 Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 :pinch: Ouch Last year the Preston stewards were decent, in the game and before when they helped Damo in because he lost his ticket. There are some right imbred pricks in Preston.
Dr The Singh Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 First call Peter Jones. As im sure you know he's a top man and always helpful. Peter Jones is a PR man, i've had many discussions with, yes he's friendly but the bloke and he's quite useless, write to Tim Davies himself, the guy rang me back at 8.00 pm at night to discuss my issue and was less PR and more action!!

Was the issue about cat piss pints?
Dr The Singh Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 Was the issue about cat piss pints? Yeah that was one of the reason, he offered to buy me a pint but I got the impression he was comming onto me and asking me out for a date!!!

Well said JTB, don't have a say on this comment Walkers.

Master Fox Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 Yeah that was one of the reason, he offered to buy me a pint but I got the impression he was comming onto me and asking me out for a date!!! He’s definitely a guy in touch with his feminine side. Timmy is renowned for calling up fans early evening resolving their problems on the off chance that he might get lucky!

Dames Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 I would be absolutely pissed off with this. Try and pursue it all you can but don't expect much from our club. Stewarding is starting to become a farce.
