Thracian Posted 8 November 2007 Posted 8 November 2007 The thing is, this is a football club that the likes of Chris O Grady, Conrad Logan, Jacob Laursen, John Curtis, Chris Makin, Josh Low and Elvis bleedin' Hammond have turned out for the in the past. All I want is for Ka'ebi to have a go. Can he be any worse than that bunch of wasters. Can't imagine how many times you need that question answering before it gets through to you. He had another go last night. Where are all the joyous reports?
Monk Posted 8 November 2007 Posted 8 November 2007 I miss Chris O Grady. He was....................... awesome...... right
Staf Posted 8 November 2007 Posted 8 November 2007 I used to want to see Kaebi play but now i dont care because he cant be that good if he hasnt played yet
Trav Le Bleu Posted 8 November 2007 Posted 8 November 2007 Put him on the pitch for 30 mins and let the fans decide if he's any good!
kev_lcfc4life Posted 8 November 2007 Posted 8 November 2007 I used to want to see Kaebi play but now i dont care because he cant be that good if he hasnt played yet he is actually quite good if any one has been down to watch the reserves im sure theyd agree the problem he has is communicating with the players and the referee as has happend already
Thracian Posted 8 November 2007 Posted 8 November 2007 he is actually quite good if any one has been down to watch the reserves im sure theyd agree the problem he has is communicating with the players and the referee as has happend already Which reserves matches did you watch?
kev_lcfc4life Posted 8 November 2007 Posted 8 November 2007 Which reserves matches did you watch? ive been to all the home ones this season
Thracian Posted 8 November 2007 Posted 8 November 2007 ive been to all the home ones this season And you reckon he's been quite good?
Simon Posted 8 November 2007 Posted 8 November 2007 And you reckon he's been quite good? Erm Elvis Hammond? It's all subjective Thracian. Sometimes I struggle with some of you're opinions but that's not to say they're not valid.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 8 November 2007 Posted 8 November 2007 Erm Elvis Hammond? It's all subjective Thracian. Sometimes I struggle with some of you're opinions but that's not to say they're not valid. Actually Thracian's opinions are more valid because he gives marks like 5.75 out of 10 - as if he's sat there and thought well he's above a 5 but not quite a 6, but definitely more than 5 and a half. One day someone will get pi out of 10, I swear.
Alexikokopops Posted 8 November 2007 Posted 8 November 2007 One day someone will get pi out of 10, I swear. That's just irrational...
Fez of Mahrez Posted 8 November 2007 Posted 8 November 2007 I do find it quite deliciously ironic (in the Alanis Morisette sense) that Thracian keeps getting het up over people banging on about a young player in the reserves who hardly anyone has ever seen play and how they should be in the first team.
ASH17LCFC Posted 8 November 2007 Posted 8 November 2007 This kid is a dud, A milan signing gone wrong. No manager wants to play him because he is not good enough. Thracian has stated already in the reserves he isn't nowt special and i think people just believed all the hype about him and its turns out to be utter b*llocks. Its alright for the Iran people to come on here and sing his praises but remember ... Its only Iran
Raikkonen Posted 8 November 2007 Posted 8 November 2007 I would like him to play for a bit, but if he can't get into the first team he must be crap
kev_lcfc4life Posted 8 November 2007 Posted 8 November 2007 And you reckon he's been quite good? yer i do actually he lively and can put in good tackles yer i do actually he s lively and can put in good tackles

Raikkonen Posted 8 November 2007 Posted 8 November 2007 because he is not good enough to get into the first team
Thracian Posted 8 November 2007 Posted 8 November 2007 yer i do actually he lively and can put in good tackles If Kaebi was an unknown 20 year old who turned up as a trialist for the Reserves like that Finnish guy last season I doubt anyone would give him much of a mention let alone conclude that he was "playing well" and should be in the first team. Yes he was lively and yes he was keen enough in the tackle. But it took him 20 minutes to pass to one of our men when he'd won possession, he charged all over the place exposing his position and looked very slow at times to get back. He got skinned alive on a couple of occasions that thankfully didn't lead to goals, the Rotherham goal itself came from deep in his department and a modest visiting side were delivering crosses from both flanks almost at will. Indeed a FoxesTalk member who was with me even remarked on how lucky our defence was with all the crosses that had fizzed across our goalmouth and seeing that was the BEST Kaebi performance I've seen for six weeks it shows that calls for his elevation make no more sense than the fans immediate calls for Neilsen to be in the team because he was a Danish International. Neilsen had half a game last night and was as shaky as ever. To date he's had one good game and that's exactly the same number as Kaebi. Ferreira's had 1.5 good games that I've seen, Hellings has been fairly steady generally and yesterday was his best while Djiziri has still to shine at all. Does all this please me? Not at all. Our first team has important weaknesses without being ravaged by injuries but the question about the reserves is will they be better than players already in the first team? I've really seen no evidence of it and I've looked hard enough for some encouragement. King and Hume will probably be back Saturday. Wesolowski might just make the bench. The one opportunity might arise at left-back and on last night's showing I feel sure Burrows would go with Stearman, Mattock or Kenton. Had Kaebi stood out in the role he might have forced a rethink but he didn't. The fans and Kaebi need to have more patience.
dandannieldanok Posted 8 November 2007 Posted 8 November 2007 As long as my dinners on the table,i couldnt give a fcuk.
Dames Posted 8 November 2007 Posted 8 November 2007 Ramble But Kaebi has been playing out of position all along. The Iranians say he's best as a Right Attacking Mid and so far he's played Right back and Left back. And was you not saying he was looking dangerous before that one bad game he had and ended up getting injured. I think your the one in need of more patience before you start getting on his back.

And was you not saying he was looking dangerous before that one bad game he had and ended up getting injured. I think your the one in need of more patience before you start getting on his back. I call it exactly as I see it and he's had two bad games, two barely average games and one goodish game as I've seen which is hardly a recommendation for anyone. When I've seen him at right wing-back he's been seriously exposed and I've never seen him play an extended spell at right midfield so how could I or anyone else judge whether he's good enough there for English football? While I certainly accept he might well do well there in a hot country where the game's less frantic I don't see how the Iranians could gauge his suitability for English conditions and, judging by the battering he took last night in the first half and hour, I'd definitely have concerns. That doesn't mean my mind is closed. I would love to see him play a couple of games solely as a right midfielder. But guessing is as bad as guessing with Nielsen. It doesn't make sense. They are obviously getting anxious in the Kaebi camp but that won't help. Kaebi needs to be calm, concentrate on his integration and get some assured performances behind him, preferably in that right midfield position you mention. That way he might earn the respect of his team-mates and when he gets that he might be ready to take his chance if and when it arrives.
