James. Posted 29 November 2007 Posted 29 November 2007 My first one starts tomorrow. We're off to Amsterdam for a spot of culture. Amsterdam is a great place. Like a messy X-rated Disney World for adults. I'm not convinced we'll all make it home come Sunday. Got another one coming up in February. This one's a trip to Hamburg, I hear it's very nice at that time of year. Anyone got any such events on the horizon or care to share some tales from weekends gone by?

Nah, none of my mates have been dumb enough to get to that stage yet. Although one has his wedding pencilled in for 2009, he could well be the first.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 29 November 2007 Posted 29 November 2007 One of my best mates (Sheffield United fan, some of you have met him) is getting married next March. I'm missing Hull at home. He'd originally planned Barcelona but has cried off that idea so now it's Sheffield instead. Will still be a good night but not quite the same.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 29 November 2007 Posted 29 November 2007 Fook me stag weekends and you go overseas shit all we do is go camping some where in the bush
AoWW Posted 29 November 2007 Posted 29 November 2007 I once went on a cracking stag weekend in Dublin. T'was superb from what I can remember of it.

James. Posted 29 November 2007 Author Posted 29 November 2007 Fook me stag weekends and you go overseas shit all we do is go camping some where in the bush Australians are quite simple though aren't they. Easily pleased and all that. Plus us Brits have a reputation to maintain with our European neighbours. We didn't earn the title of worst behaved travelling nation for nothing you know.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 29 November 2007 Posted 29 November 2007 Never again. Yours is going to be brutal. I am picturing Alex doing donuts in your MR2 with Manwell strapped naked to the exhaust pipe while we sip on some camomile tea.
The People's Hero Posted 29 November 2007 Posted 29 November 2007 The worst one I've ever been on was for my mate at butlins (bognor regis) - over 21's weekend. It was when the world cup was on. I reckon about 2 of us made it back to the chalet - me (best man) and gavin (groom). Let's just let it be said that it was extremely messy and we didn't find the rest of the gang until we were basically going home. Law involved (not me though). Horrible women involved (not for me though). Beaten up by bouncers (not me though). Sleepwalking (long story - and not me). I don't doubt that more wild stuff goes on but with the sun, the beer, the women, the world cup etc... it got ridiculously messy.
The People's Hero Posted 29 November 2007 Posted 29 November 2007 I would also like to add - I went to Amsterdam and stayed on a Botel.
Zingari Posted 29 November 2007 Posted 29 November 2007 Fook me stag weekends and you go overseas shit all we do is go camping in the bush is this some strange ozzie euphemism
The People's Hero Posted 29 November 2007 Posted 29 November 2007 Yours is going to be brutal. I am picturing Alex doing donuts in your MR2 with Manwell strapped naked to the exhaust pipe while we sip on some camomile tea. For that exact reason (and the fact that I enjoy sex, even if the other party invariably doesn't) I'm never getting married.
AoWW Posted 29 November 2007 Posted 29 November 2007 They let women go on stag weekends now? wtf.Having said that I was once invited to a hen party (declined of course). I had to be an honorary bloke for the weekend. 'cept I did draw the line at getting off with some cheap tart... well, at least I think I did.

Ric Flair Posted 29 November 2007 Posted 29 November 2007 I want to go to Dublin. Stumbling block, everything costs too much. Did a weekender there a while back, cost me the best part of £500 and had a decent win on a nag that kept it down to £500. It's ridiculously expensive, but an amazing City.

Anyway, my mate (who Fez met at the Barnsleh match) text me on Monday during teh Cardiff match to tell me he were engaged to his missus. Unbelievable, he's only five months older than me!

I went on a stag do to Hamburg about 3 years ago, just at the start of Euro 2004, it's absolutely awesome. We staged a pitch invasion at a local hockey game with a crowd of a couple hundred people. We were all wearing 118 running vests & tiny shorts. Sprinted from behind the goal to halfway line doing Mick Shannon arm-wheeling celebrations, then made a very sharp exit. Think the locals saw the funny side - although being German, perhaps not, they don't see the funny side of anything.
Bert Posted 29 November 2007 Posted 29 November 2007 I'm going on a week long stag do, in April. I'll be the youngest at 20. The next youngest person going is the groom, whose 33.
