Leicester boss Ian Holloway is without strikers DJ Campbell (knee) and Elvis Hammond (ankle), as well as midfielder James Wesolowski (hamstring).

Defender Patrick Kisnorbo is eligible, after the red card he received at Ipswich was rescinded.

One thing is striking about those team selections.

Virtually everyone picks Clemence despite the fact that he's been fairly poor for some time.

Kenton seems to have done okay when he's played but still the fans keep faith with Clem. Stearman might be worth considering in front of the central defenders or even James Chambers if Stearman retains his place at right back.

But no. Clemence is king.

Shows, in a way, how difficult it might be if you were managers faced with a difficult decision. Captain or not could you be objective, accept that he playing badly and leave him out?

Difficult when one of the reasons he came here was "to play first team football". Yet I remember thinking at the time he said it, why are you no longer first choice at Birmingham?

I'm much clearer on the reasons now.

Clemence is untouchable for this reason- what other options do we have?

And as for you Thracian championing playing players out of positions, something you've stated you hate whenever a manager here does it, well its disappointing to say the least.

Clemence should no doubt be dropped on current form. Likewise with Kisnorbo. Hayes and Kaebi will have the pace to create chances and with Kenton in the defensive midfield role, King should have more freedom to attack and get shots in around the area. King has been too cautious up until now and as we saw against southampton, when he is confident, he is dangerous. Clemence has been poor in the last few games, constantly giving the ball away and in my opinion is not a very good captain. Kisnorbo has made too many errors and in my opinion Mcauley is a better defender.

The only place I might have suggested Chambers was right midfield - unless we had another sensible option - and the only midfield position I'd considered for Stearman in today's fairly desperate situation was as a defensive central midfielder just in front of the two centre-backs.

But I rejected it because while he is first and foremost a centre-half he is not anything but an emergency midfielder - as Kelly demonstrated at one time.

I cannot remember saying anything of the sort except with serious qualification but Stearman or a half-fit Clemence? Stearman any-time. Even when fully fit Clemence has been a constant disappointment.

Who is actually going to Hull?

I'm going - have just been checking to see if there's a lorry protest against fuel prices planned for the M1.

Can't imagine anything exciting. We're not the French. We'll put up with anything and haven't the faintest idea how to have a proper protest.
