maddog Posted 13 December 2007 Posted 13 December 2007 As long as Kaebi plays i dont care about the result. Go Kaebi!!!!!
connord182 Posted 13 December 2007 Posted 13 December 2007 Leicester need a creative midfield player, we have needed one for a long time, people can't go blaming the strikers for not scoring goals when they are playing well but not getting any service at all. We don't have ONE creative midfield player at the minute, if we had one we would be way up the league. All we have are ball winners, HOLLOWAY NEEDS TO BUY ONE!!!!! Sorry that seemed a bit out of the blue it just wouldn't let me start a new topic, i just needed tp get my point across as nobody can see it we need someone who can stand in the centre of the pitch and just pick out passes, we would be a much beter team.
Bryn Posted 13 December 2007 Posted 13 December 2007 Most important Saturday is to stay tight defensively yet score goals. fook Ollie, this man clearly has this football shit down.
Sparky Posted 13 December 2007 Posted 13 December 2007 ..........................................fulop................................ J Chambers........Kisnorbo..............Ngotty..........Mattock Kaebi.................King...............Clemence...........Sheehan ..............................Hume........John.......................... Subs , Hendo , Mcauley , DJ , Kenton , Hayes We have to be positive in any game we play at the minute , we are not getting the results at home and seem to play with more freedom away from home so we have to be on the front foot . Opted for Mattock/Sheehan left side just ahead of sheehan/hayes because i think with Kaebi and Hayes on the flanks it would make us very lightweight . The right side is interesting for me as Chambers needs to be busting a gut to overlap Kaebi and i could see that being a quite fruitful partnership with Kaebi filling in when Chambers is attacking . Went for John in front of the Dj Fryatt and Cort as i think he is the most natural finisher of the forwards and does give us some kind of target we may get few chances in the game so id rather he be on the end of them. The key for me is to get King forward and allow Clem to pull the strings behind him , we have seen what King can do from distance and he needs to be encouraged to try that on more occasions. Thats my two penneth

Thracian Posted 14 December 2007 Posted 14 December 2007 What do you see in Gradel? you seem to mention him in mostg of your posts. I see a genuine winger, the only one we've got. Max Gradel is fast, he takes people on at pace, he's tricky, he's positive with his passing and he is so single minded about shooting. Gradel's not the selfless type. Yes, he'll cog into a team - especially a team who know him and accept him as he is - but if Gradel get's a sight of goal 25 yards out he'll have a crack, left foot or right. What's more his shots pack some power when he gets em right and are pretty accurate. Gradel has scored a phenomenal amount of goals as a winger on the way through. He's probably not quite ready by normal standards because his temperament is iffy and he's a little bit inconsistent with his tracking back - basically, I think, cos it's not really in his nature to track back. But in our situation he would be an important asset. He'd have to be marked for a start. His style of play would make more chances for our other attackers, mean us having more decent shots and mean there'd be more space for folk like Hume and Fryatt to run into...all factors we're unlikely to get much with anyone else on the books.

Good post judging by what you said he seems a good right winger would love to see him given ago

Raj Posted 14 December 2007 Posted 14 December 2007 Our home form is SO shite that it is putting more pressure on our away form. And that isn't exactly fantastic is it? Crappy referring decisions havent helped lately either. And we cant just wait for that magical January transfer window. It wont all just 'click' in Jan you know??? Dont just think a few players here and a few leaving will have an immediate effect as it wont? We need a little'something' to get us going this season. Dont know what that little'something' is,but we need it sooner or later. a catalyst...thats what we need. Its hope....hope its this weekend....if not..it might be next weekend....but sooner or later it WILL come...im boring now......

Thracian Posted 14 December 2007 Posted 14 December 2007 One thing is striking about those team selections. Virtually everyone picks Clemence despite the fact that he's been fairly poor for some time. Kenton seems to have done okay when he's played but still the fans keep faith with Clem. Stearman might be worth considering in front of the central defenders or even James Chambers if Stearman retains his place at right back. But no. Clemence is king. Shows, in a way, how difficult it might be if you were managers faced with a difficult decision. Captain or not could you be objective, accept that he playing badly and leave him out? Difficult when one of the reasons he came here was "to play first team football". Yet I remember thinking at the time he said it, why are you no longer first choice at Birmingham? I'm much clearer on the reasons now.
