Koke Posted 17 December 2007 Posted 17 December 2007 Ultras dislike for Clemence is seriously similar to Thracian and Kaebi. It doesn't even come close. Thracian is on another level with his Anti-Kaebi campaign.
lookwhaticando Posted 17 December 2007 Posted 17 December 2007 I swear to god some of you are just obsessed with Thracian. It's unhealthy. If his opinions offend your eyes, just 'ignore' him. Get him out your system before it does you a mischief.
Thracian Posted 17 December 2007 Posted 17 December 2007 It doesn't even come close. Thracian is on another level with his Anti-Kaebi campaign. I'll give you an assurance Samir. When I see Kaebi play well I'll say so. But if you think that shit on Saturday was "playing well" then you and I have a totally different definition of the phrase.
Thracian Posted 17 December 2007 Posted 17 December 2007 As i've said, and your friend Ultra, he is in the wrong place at the wrong time. The football we play, and many teams play in this division, is not going to suit his style. And another thing, was it correct that we were pumping high balls up to both wingers - how is someone of Kaebi's height ever going to threaten in that situation? Ultra is a friend but don't suggest that somehow my views are shaped by him - we disagree about football as much as we do about politics on many occasions. But you're right about our football not suiting Kaebi's style. And that leaves the point - what possible value was he therefore going to be? Put him in Beaglehole's Academy side of two years ago and he'd doubtless have loved it. Slick foot-to-foot passing, fast support, eight attacking in and around the box, everything I'd love to see here. But we're not playing Academy football and, while the likes of Wesolowski, Stearman, Sheehan, Mattock, King and the tiny Porter, until his injury, have been useful enough and robust enough to cope and adjust, Kaebi's done anything but. Had he spent six months in the reserves playing Academy style football and adapting himself to the rigours of English football then maybe we'd be speaking differently but you didn't want that. You're like MM, it's got to be now, now, now. Well, that being the case, don't expect me to be sympathetic. We cannot afford to carry players in our predicament. The faster we adapt a reliable 5-3-2 or 4-3-3 system and get ourselves back to playing the sort of football our squad can manage effectively the better.
Bryn Posted 17 December 2007 Posted 17 December 2007 He clearly is a player of quality - the number of international caps prove that. His cameo appearance against Watford hinted of what might have been. But the physical demands of English football - especially in the depths of winter on northern grounds against rough-house opponents - are too much for him at the moment. He's the wrong player at the wrong club at the wrong time. Amen to that.

But if you think that shit on Saturday was "playing well" then you and I have a totally different definition of the phrase. I'm not disagreeing with you on his performance at Hull by all means. You know better than me since I didn't go. But all I'm asking is to not rip him into pieces at any given oppoturnity. He's not Leicester City's saviour and he is not the world beater some make it out to be, but surely there is a half decent player in him somewhere and hopefully given the time Ollie can get the best out of him. But to constantly write negativity about him after only featuring 90 minutes at Ipswich and 45 at Hull is ridicolous. By your logic, If anyone who is shit and plays like shit should be thrown back into the reserves then we wouldn't have a team at all.

And in the 11 games or so Kaebi's played he's accumulated very little.

Well perhaps it would make more sense to say that, than to slate him at every opportunity, and give him 0's when a style of play doesnt suit him. Give Ollie a 0 in that case!
Tommy G Posted 17 December 2007 Posted 17 December 2007 Looks to me like Stearman was a close 2nd best player on the pitch according to the ratings? Made me laugh on his facebook, a fan has wrote a rant on his wall after the Hull game, but he must have logged on today and deleted it! The message before that is TPH trying to be pally with him...

Kaebi MoM and Stearman second says it all - our fans are clearly so fed up they're spending the game in the concourses - or not going to the match at all. Ah well, off to the City ground to see who they're keeping out of the team.

Ah well, off to the City ground to see who they're keeping out of the team. Does it really? How about taking into account the tactics deployed by Holloway eh? Remember that players are under instructions to play a certain style to a certain game plan

It's quite a funny picture actually, Stearman doesn't really look like he wants/wanted to head that ball.

Simi Posted 18 December 2007 Posted 18 December 2007 These polls are becoming a bit of a farce really. Shame I suppose because it could actually make good reading at the end of each month. I doubt even 49 people from FoxesTalk went to the match.
Sods Posted 19 December 2007 Posted 19 December 2007 Admin meeting. Give it Fulop i say. For the best.
