Ollie Get's Tough - From OS

Recommended Posts

He told the players what he thought of them. I wonder if anyone told him what they thought of him? He was SH*T, in case he hasn't been told. I really hate this guy, crap tactics, decisions and substitions. All this verbal diarrhoea from him is getting to me and all he seems interested in is getting into the papers at the weekend.

He's seen most of the team now, what he needs to do now is start a fresh. Those that haven't shown any desire (and I know it's a lot) need to be training with the youth team - that's it, it's game over. We can't cancel their contracts, and they're going to be happy enough picking up their wages for a few hours work a day, so they should be excluded from the first team squad and all reserve games.

Probably sounds ridiculous, but we can't bring in loads more players when we can't ship anyone out, we'll have a 50-60 man squad otherwise. Too much unhappiness around the place and it'll have an effect on whoever Ollie brings in almost immediately.

What would you have done at half time then ?

is a trialist generally not an unsigned player??

I don't think so, I think other clubs can give permission for their players to go on trial to somebody else

its just the trial bit that scares me, surely if they were a proven, decent player, they wouldn't need a trial??

If they aren't a proven, decent player, why do we need them, we have enough "average" players already

If a trialist is currently unattached to any club, they really ought to be desperate to impress, and should play with hunger and desire.

Perhaps that's what Ollie is looking for at the minute. It might also send a signal to the rest of the squad - some of you have been so fucking useless, I'm going to try out some no-hopers without a club and hope they manage to play better than you do.

He might really be that desperate to play with something other than the crap he's got to work with now, that he'll look at anyone who's available immediately. A couple of trialists trying their hardest might be a neat short-term fix for some of the problems we have. Just maybe...

Look at the last trialist we had and then signed - Danny Cadamarteri... What a great signing he turned out to be...

"I think there is a massive disunity and I see that more than ever when we go behind."

where you would pinpoint this disunity?

senior players vs younger players?

summer signings versus the players here before?

where? and why should this be so?

he was worth it just for his goal against fulham...

Very true, I'd rather have him here now than some of the players we currently have!

We had a couple of young ones on trial in the summer so he wasn't the last.

Apart from his goal against Fulham at the Walkers ( :worship: ) he didn't really have a chance to show us what he can do.

His fitness levels weren't very high but that can be said for the rest of the team at the time to be honest.

Proven doesn't necessarily mean right attitude, approach to the game ambition, desire to put in the effort, belief this what can be examined during a trial.

You're right. But we are going to need a big big injection of talent into the team to get anything from this season (or even just avoid relegation). Maybe trialists might bring something good. I can just imagine our squad being expanded even more with mundane crap. Apologies for the pessimism.

I know what you mean but surly anything (And I mean almost anything) is better than the people who we call "football players" at the moment.

I shall now prove your argument null and void in one sweeping blow.

Junior Lewis.

Agreed! Any new players should be protected from these metastatic fvckwits.

I'd tell them to report for training everyday and then send em packing for the day

.........................after they've cleaned the youth players' boots of course
