Matt Posted 15 December 2007 Posted 15 December 2007 I shall now prove your argument null and void in one sweeping blow.Junior Lewis. Ok fair enough. Although its close
OzFox311 Posted 15 December 2007 Posted 15 December 2007 Glad to see Ollie finally realises what everyone has realised for a while, we are in serious disunity and something needs to be done about it. The whole thing is a train wreck ATM and as much as it is easy to blame Ollie for it, this has happened for 2 seasons now, the players need to start to take responsibility for their actions, or lack of them. I hope we can find someone out of the trialists who can give us something, because ATM I'd say around 90% of the squad is not as committed or as determined as they should be... I don't mind losing, but when we lose because there is no heart or desire, then that's just not on. Yep and I agree with others here about lack of commitment, but I actually reckon anyone new we get should train with the youth team, at least ATM it seems to have the pride and determination in it, and I think it will do them some good to be around players who believe they can succeed, nothing will come from training with the first team in their current state of shambles.
FleckneyFox Posted 15 December 2007 Posted 15 December 2007 Well done its about time they heard it been a long time coming.

Good point Get the new ones to train with the youths and not the other way around-why didn't I think of that?
FilboFox Posted 16 December 2007 Posted 16 December 2007 Ollie has just put in two bids for players along with the three trialists... who do you all think they'll be? I would guess at Halmosi and Capaldi. Here's the link... see the bottom of the interview. http://www.lcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Lates...1192051,00.html
CKB Posted 16 December 2007 Posted 16 December 2007 I assume the bids are Norris and Hayles? Norris and Halmosi would be good signings for us i think
samuel Posted 16 December 2007 Posted 16 December 2007 Developing our own players and selling some always makes sense to me.And in our present situation why should we not rely on that way forward: Current young saleable assets: Stearman, Kisnorbo, McCarthy, Fryatt. Future young saleable assets: Logan, Dodds, Porter, O'Grady, Gradel, Chambers, Sheehan Beyond that: Tejan-Sie Odihiambo King, Magunda etc etc. Why when we have those above.(WHATS LEFT OF THEM)
pafcfan10 Posted 16 December 2007 Posted 16 December 2007 its just the trial bit that scares me, surely if they were a proven, decent player, they wouldn't need a trial??If they aren't a proven, decent player, why do we need them, we have enough "average" players already To be fair, when Holloway was here, most of the trialists he signed turned out to be very good. Apart from Cherno Samba He signed Marcel Seip and Jimmy Abdou after trials, two first team regulars.

Thats a first.
FilboFox Posted 16 December 2007 Posted 16 December 2007 Trialists can't usually play any competative matches until they've signed a contract...
Simi Posted 16 December 2007 Posted 16 December 2007 Look at the last trialist we had and then signed - Danny Cadamarteri... What a great signing he turned out to be... If we're going to be petty, I'd say Alex Morfaw. I hope someone manages to get down the training ground tomorrow and find out who these players are. Would be interesting to find out, hopefully some players that are desperate to show themselves and step up. Because at the moment we are carrying far to many people who don't deserve to be picking up a wage.
DB11 Posted 16 December 2007 Posted 16 December 2007 The bid for the players - isn't that those 2 from Plymouth that were originally rejected?
Cheese Me Posted 16 December 2007 Posted 16 December 2007 At least getting players in on trial and having a proper look at them should mean we're less likely to end up with more or the shower of sh!te that we seem to continually bring in (and then rarely if ever play). We need to have a bit more faith in Ollie. The scale of his task is massive and he's not going to turn this lot around overnight. There is potential there though and if we can just pull away from the bottom and rebuild a bit in the next couple of months then Ollie deserves our full support.
Raj Posted 16 December 2007 Posted 16 December 2007 Too many players who THINK they are better than they ACTUALLY are. Too many players we bought in the Summer who we shouldn't have touched with a barge pole. Too mny players who are STILL at the club who should have been fcuked off ages ago. BUt who is gonna take the shite off our hands now??? About time someone had the bollox to say it as it is. Whether it should have come from the man who has to now rely on them fcukers to get him out of the shit we are in remains to be seen.....
Tevez Posted 16 December 2007 Posted 16 December 2007 I'm just hoping it's Carl Asaba, Kevin Lisbie and Kazim Richards.
