Asha Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 I'd have him.Always rated him. He did OK last season, would take him...but for no more than a few hundred grand
Jack Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 He did OK last season, would take him...but for no more than a few hundred grand Didn't see an awful lot of him last season. I agree on the price tag, i'd go for him if it was that sorta price that they would be asking.
LcFc D3C Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 we should take him as he is a good player at this level. He will certainly give some of the regular starters a run for their money but also i wouldnt pay loads for him.
lee7 Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 he's a decent player from what i've seen of him. get him in.
WetFlannel Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 Ill wait untill i hear us officially being linked with him, unitl then no thanks
DB11 Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 Thought he's an attacking mid central defender Martin Taylor. You clown!
Asha Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 You clown! I was on about Neil Danns Attacking midfielder Neil Danns moved to St. Andrew's from Colchester United midfielder in June 2006 for an initial fee of £500,000, which could rise to £850,000 with add-ons.
CupidStunt Posted 24 December 2007 Posted 24 December 2007 According to reports,he is about to seal a £250,000 move to forest
Tommy G Posted 24 December 2007 Posted 24 December 2007 Forest, thats sick! We could do a lot worse..
MPH Posted 24 December 2007 Posted 24 December 2007 we are in a really difficult position here..... We need players that will get us out of this division, yet when we get out of this division we will need players good enough for the prem. Danns, i think brum have made it clear, is not good enough for the prem but good enough for this division. take him whilst we need him. loan.
MPH Posted 24 December 2007 Posted 24 December 2007 According to reports,he is about to seal a £250,000 move to forest yup. BBC gossip section: Birmingham midfielder Neil Danns is set to seal a £250,000 transfer to Nottingham Forest. (Mirror)
morris1234 Posted 22 January 2008 Posted 22 January 2008 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ace/7202980.stm Crystal Palace have signed midfielder Neil Danns from Birmingham for an initial fee of £600,000. He has agreed a three-and-a-half-year contract and the eventual fee for the 25-year-old could rise £850,000 if certain clauses are met. Danns became surplus to requirements under Birmingham manager Alex McLeish. McLeish said: "Neil is a guy who, at this stage of his career, should be getting first-team football and we wish him all the best." Danns joined Birmingham from Colchester for £500,000 in the summer of 2006 but started only 11 league games for the club.
morris1234 Posted 22 January 2008 Posted 22 January 2008 Could have done with him as well. Shame. i know, not a bad fee for him either, would of liked to of seen danns here especially for that money. oh and koumas, surely we have no chance of getting him.....right?? oh and he will prbably play agaisnt us aswell for palace next monday

You're right it isn't a bad fee but if you offered me Danns for an initial £600,000 or Oakley for an initial £500,000 I'd take Oakley, despite having less years at peak level left.

Geo V Posted 22 January 2008 Posted 22 January 2008 As well as Danns did at Colchester in League One, has he actually done much at a level above? Im not sure how many games he played for Brum last season but he is still unproven at this level so any purchase would be risky. Now watch him score against us on Monday
