Sly Posted 29 December 2007 Posted 29 December 2007 Personally I don't think you knock his commitment, he has obvious technical ability and he will score you the odd goal. What people seem to miss is he gives the ball away as much as some of our other average players, now you could put this down to him making things happen....I don't know, maybe he's better than I think but I don't believe he's any better than a mid table Championship player. I just think the fans give him an easier ride becuase he's elevated himself to idol status amongst a team of very average players. I always think he's out of position when he's playing up front but thats becuase he wants the ball and goes hunting for it! Hume, like every other player at Leicester City has a price and should we get a figure that we believe is right I'd let him go. I'd want to recoup a bit on what we paid mind. So I'd be looking for more than 1 million. I'd love for him to prove me wrong though about being only a Championship striker and still be playing for us when we're a Premier league team again.
Molson Canadian Posted 29 December 2007 Posted 29 December 2007 Hume is a great player, it would be a shame for him to leave leicester. He has told canadian media on numerous occasions that he loves leicester and loves playing for the club. Hume's natural position is in the hole as a attacking midfielder but he doesn't get many chances to play in that role. He is full of energy and gives 100% everytime he gets on the field. I really hope he stays with leicester.

Outside of Fulop, I can't see anything of value coming here.......and now Hulme might be off....................we'll be worse off than we were before if we're not careful
DB11 Posted 29 December 2007 Posted 29 December 2007 It'll be a silly decision if he decides to go there. He will either not peform or end up rotting in the reserves. Hopefully he'll stay and earn legend status
reynard Posted 29 December 2007 Posted 29 December 2007 Didn't Fulham turn down £3m for John from Watford in the summer, making your valuation of Hume £5m. I'd hold out for John + Murphy + £4m if I was you! No idea. I was being slightly tongue in cheek but if they really did turn down that amount then on current form Hume is worth as much as John.
Fox You Forest Posted 29 December 2007 Posted 29 December 2007 Ridiculous.Hume is barely a Championship player - he would be an embarrasment in the Premiership. The only thing I can think of is that the managers have watched a three minute clip of him on Youtube. Suck Balls.
skinnydipper Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 ... as every lofted ball into him he would always keeps his head down and his feet firmly on the floor I thought you were talking about De Vries or Cort
lavrentis Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 Hume is a class player, his ability to score quality goals in this team is astonishing. I just hope he stays until we get a better team, then he will improve with the team..Liverpool will buy him for 11m then he will be crap.
Filberts lovechild Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 Would be a major loss IMO. He's the only player you can actually say has looked like he has cared about the team in the past few years, puts in 110% every game guaranteed and has got a bit of quality about him. Not sure if it's enough to tempt Prem teams into coming after him though, and if he does leave I can only see him warming up the bench! Think he would be ideal for us staying in an attacking mid position with DJ and a new striker (not matty fryatt) upfront!

I really hope he stays with leicester. Thing is - he has his own mind and doesn't want to play in that role - he thinks of himself as a striker (and I've talked to him about that briefly). Nothing against the guy, he's one of the few that almost always gives more than 100 percent, still I sense Hume does have a slight attitude issue. I'd consider it a rather big loss for the club if he left, but what you want to do when Premiership Bling Bling is calling...
Geordie Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 I for one hope Hume goes, he absolute toilet and the most over rated player City have ever had. It amazes me that on here very few notice that the only cause Hume works for is Iain Hume's, all this "he is a team player" it is garbage, his time is running out in certain areas of the ground. He can't pass, he can't tackle, he has no spatial awareness, he never provides the simple option for his team mates and above all is really worryingly stupid. He will never ever make it as a Premiership player, he can't evenmake it as a crap player for a relegation candidate in the Championship. I do hope he is sold and before we have to suffer anymore of his ineffectual performances as a forward or midfielder. Iain Hume..... "Du du du du, fuuucking useless"

Geordie Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 Without his goals last season we'd probably be in League One right now. Yet you can not prove that would have been the case and even so, he is fuuucking useless. Easily worse than Akinbiyi and Benjamin.
Kilworthfox Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 Yet you can not prove that would have been the case and even so, he is fuuucking useless.Easily worse than Akinbiyi and Benjamin. simply wrong
Foxes 2 da grave Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 Humes only been overated because he was the only player on the pitch in the post milan era that gave his all and before milan came he was the best player we had playing on a regular basis. Both Iain Hume and Matty Fryatt are from lower leagues and I believe they would be better if they wore platforms because when they both play up front together its 9 players and to little people up front.

Geordie Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 simply wrong I do believe that both Ade and Trev plyed their trade in the Premiership for a bit and scored some goals up there. Something the wonderous Hume hasn't even looked like doing
MikeyT Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 Yet you can not prove that would have been the case and even so, he is fuuucking useless.Easily worse than Akinbiyi and Benjamin. Thats a load of rubbish!
Brainy Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 The great Massimo Taibi has played in the Premiership. Does that mean he's still good enough to play for Man Utd?
DB11 Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 The arrival of Howard and Hayles, I think, pretty much confirms he'll be leaving
Kilworthfox Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 The arrival of Howard and Hayles, I think, pretty much confirms he'll be leaving No it does not!
