Simi Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 Fulham had a Championship player fettish under Lawrie Sanchez... and who can blame them?Building for the future (in the division below)!! Twat. I can never tell whether you like Fulham or not? I wish you'd get off the fence.
Rich Fox Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 Wouldnt be surprized if you put hume in any other championship side he would do well, ive seen it happen loads of times over the years we think someones crap and then they move on and there suddenly much better. Players seem to die on there feet at leicester but premiership is pushing it a bit but hes not far off.
lookwhaticando Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 I can never tell whether you like Fulham or not?I wish you'd get off the fence. I'm not sitting on the fence. The fence is sitting on me. Hence my predicament.
filbertway Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 I think that Iain Hume is the one player that Leicester can rely on so if we lose him then we can say bye bye to the Championship and hello to League 1 as we wont have anyone that could bring us a few goals. So we won't bring anyone in to replace him with?
Webbo Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 Hume would struggle to get into Everton's reserves. As for Fulham only as a makeweight in a deal for Kisnorbo but I can't see it myself.
reynard Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 Can't see him being on Roy Hodgson's radar. But would consider an offer of 2million and John in exchange?
MPH Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 Hume would struggle to get into Everton's reserves. As for Fulham only as a makeweight in a deal for Kisnorbo but I can't see it myself. Um... they are both our players....
WetFlannel Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 Um... they are both our players.... I didn't really understand it either
Webbo Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 I didn't really understand it either What don't you understand?
The Reverend Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 I dont think Hume is any where near good enough for the Premiership really.
WetFlannel Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 What don't you understand? Why would he be a makeweight for Kisnorbo if they are on the same team... isnt a makeweight an Antonio Nunez or a Luis Garcia (who i still love)
shrood Posted 29 December 2007 Posted 29 December 2007 Getting rid of Hume would definitely be a step in the wrong direction. I'm sick of selling players and then wasting the percentage of the fee that goes into the transfer kitty on sub-standard shit. We've got a player who we KNOW is of benefit to the team, let's not flog him.

It would only be natural for him to want to play in the prem too. Wether he is good enough or not, is irrelevant, if a prem team came knocking and he wanted to go then its a done deal- we cant keep players here againast their will no matter how many years are left on their contract. It doesnt make sense no matter what angle you look at it. He is one player, no matter what club he goes to, that will never get booed by me

But I'd honestly hate to see him go, one of the hardest working players I've seen down here for a long time (I know that's not saying a lot but hey)

ronnup Posted 29 December 2007 Posted 29 December 2007 Can't see him being on Roy Hodgson's radar. But would consider an offer of 2million and John in exchange? really?
Asha Posted 29 December 2007 Posted 29 December 2007 really? Agreed, I wouldn't. I don't know whether there's an issue with CJ atm, or whether he's generally just shit.
brookfox Posted 29 December 2007 Posted 29 December 2007 Can't see him being on Roy Hodgson's radar. But would consider an offer of 2million and John in exchange? Didn't Fulham turn down £3m for John from Watford in the summer, making your valuation of Hume £5m. I'd hold out for John + Murphy + £4m if I was you!

Thracian Posted 29 December 2007 Posted 29 December 2007 it would indeed be an awful shame if he went.... Hume is a valuable footballer in the modern game because he's quick, has terrific stamina, is brave enough to challenge anyone for anything, he scores goals, he consistently gives 100% and he's durable. Forty-four appearances last season, virtually ever present this season - and that from a bloke with the commitment he shows. I don't know about selling him. A few more like him might help.
i luv u foxes Posted 29 December 2007 Posted 29 December 2007 losing iain hume would be a massive lose we need players who show passion and are ambitious and creative hume fits this criteria so why sell him although around 2 mill to 3 mill would be good money in

Truedat Particularly the durable bit, I'd never thought of that; he's not very often injured is he? A fine athlete.

There is no doubt in my mind that he should not be sold, but if a prem team comes in for him and he wants to go, it gives us less leverage....
