SamL Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 Fulop (please say we sign him before the game)Mattock N Gotty Mc Auely Chambers Zsolt Bori (same as Fulop) Clemence Hayles Howard Hume Subs: Kisnorbo, Fryatt, Hayes, Wesolowski, Kenton Go leicester go. I have this bad feeling that if we lose this Milan will sack Holloway. Slightly optimistic? As much as i'd like us to, we won't be signing Fulop. Holloway is a 442 man, he won't be playing 433 and I really hope he's not stupid enough to play Hume/Hayles in midfield again after yesterdays horror show.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 Stevie Howard did just that. Ahhhhh but he playing for a side bottom and heading right back to the championship though Mcsheffrey is playing pretty well and scoring the odd goal here and there and his team have a chance of staying up. He wouldn't go back Cov now.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 Birmingham want to sell , also linked with Mifsud , LOVES the club , and has said if he ever leaves Birmingham its to go back to Cov , dont get jealous cuz wel have him and you wont Mcsheffrey left you for B-ham ... Abit of a Judas if you ask me Can't love you that much can he
George Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 If someone came upto you , offerd you double your wages , make you a better player and have a chance of promotion , you would take it.
Magictv Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 If someone came upto you , offerd you double your wages , make you a better player and have a chance of promotion , you would take it. Yup, then I'd stay there and keep getting double the wages my old club could offer me
Unit Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 If someone came upto you , offerd you double your wages , make you a better player and have a chance of promotion , you would take it. If i played for leicester and say, west brom offered it to me, i'd tell them to fook off, mainly due to the accents. disgusting accents.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 Yup, then I'd stay there and keep getting double the wages my old club could offer me So why would Mcsheff wanna come back then ? If i played for leicester and say, west brom offered it to me, i'd tell them to fook off, mainly due to the accents. disgusting accents. Yeah but the Cov accent is just as disgusting as a brum accent
dave_the_fox Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 Pentney / Cisak (gotta be better than Hendo etc) Chambers Kisnorbo N' Gotty Sheehan Gradel Clem Weso Zsolt Howard Hume Now theres a team!

Tommeh Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 What would lose easy Bout the best team we can muster up in my opnion. Chambers right back - finally N'Gotty back centre half 2 actual wingers - ok gradel wont play but its wishful thinking Hume and Howard - probably our best front pairing whist DJ is still out. Short of recalling Kishishev and putting him in for Weso I don't think we can ask for much more with the current crop of players.

Chambers at right back good call. Kishishev was rubbish earlier this season so i don't know about that one.
Simon Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 Until 5 o'clock on Friday, there's absolutely no point in me putting a team down as we'll probably have half a dozen new players anyway! It is patently obvious that Ollie has little faith in the current side, so we'll just have to wait and see who he brings in. Until then there's little point in saying anything beyond they'd put in a bloody good shift in in training and in the match on Saturday. I am not having the piss taken out of me by Coventry scummers.

Kishishev was rubbish earlier this season so i don't know about that one. I'm not debating Kishishev was balls earlier in the season because he was Blackpoo, Accrington, palace and Forset (1st half) he was poor in all those game. But come on 3 games, as soon as Megson ame in he was out. The guy needs another chance and as long as we get two decent wingers and even chambers who has got a sort of "Cafu" way of getting up and down the line, supplying good service into Howard then I think we'll get plenty of chances. As for Fryatt I'm a big fan of him, I really am but in reality partnering Howard up front will require someone nippy, quick and with good anticipation for the knock downs. Fryatt doesnt really have any of this, and as far as I'm conered the jury is for me is very much out on Hayles.

I;m also a big Fryatt fan, he seems to be able to take players on with ease but his finishing isnt' great. Maybe bringing Kishishev back might help. Can't be no worst then anything we got now. We just need 2 wingers badly.
Mark Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 Gradel and Laczko must start on the wings. Any other new players signed in the week should also be involved. Oh and one right back only should be included in the 16. That is all.

That's enough and hopefully Fryatt could generate some cash for a midfield

Fez of Mahrez Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 I think Gradel came back from Bournemouth with an injury. His loan spell was up anyway.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 Pentney / Cisak (gotta be better than Hendo etc)Chambers Kisnorbo N' Gotty Sheehan Gradel Clem Weso Zsolt Howard Hume Now theres a team! That is our strongest team in my personal opinion, except Henderson should still play. There's no telling whether Pentney or Cisak are anywhere near good enough and now is not the time to find out. Henderson has had a dodgy start back but is capable of better. Our defenders need to take more responsibility. He is not great but he's the best we've got at the moment.

We need the experienced players to help the younger players out in times like these so we can get our season back on track to secure a mid table finish.

But you're right. I wouldn't go risking Cisak or Pentney at the moment... we'll be recalling Conrad Logan before that happens.

Our defenders need to take more responsibility. He is not great but he's the best we've got at the moment. As an opinion it's as good as any but I don't know that anyone can be sure of our strongest team at the moment. Chambers instead of Stearman at right back? Not enough evidence as yet for me. Kisnorbo/N'Gotty at centre-back - it still looks sluggish. Sheehan at left-back. I worry as much as everyone about his lack of speed and his vulnerability when run at. I just think the considerable attacking compensations outweigh those weaknesses in a team that so lacks creativity. But there needs to be more improvement as far as urgency and closer marking is concerned. Clem/Weso in midfield? A bit lightweight and defensive if one of the wingers proves duff or unavailable through injury. As for the wingers themselves. Gradel needs to fulfill his promise and demonstrate consistency. Laczko is an unknown quantity and I was interested to hear wenger remark only today that he allows foreign imports six months to acclimatise before he expects them to be ready for first team football. My own feelings about Kaebi really. It's not a team I would mind starting with as a basis - there is pace, passing, a reasonable balance of attackers/defenders - but all the uncertainties I've mentioned only emphasise what a mess we're in considering it's the middle of the season. This amount of uncertainly shouldn't exist at this stage. January should really be for fine-tuning not major rebuilds.

Can't be no worse then anything we got now. The reports of his recent performances for Leeds suggest otherwise..

My own feelings about Kaebi really. Certainly I think that general point is true and it applied to Kaebi, fortunately Laczko speaks 'very good' English according to Holloway (sky sports article). I think the cultural differences are obviously not as great for Laczko as Kaebi too. He may break into the first team pretty quickly if he impresses in training-we desperately need a winger obviously.
