WetFlannel Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Certainly I think that general point is true and it applied to Kaebi, fortunately Laczko speaks 'very good' English according to Holloway (sky sports article). I think the cultural differences are obviously not as great for Laczko as Kaebi too. He may break into the first team pretty quickly if he impresses in training-we desperately need a winger obviously. I'd be surprised if he didnt break into the first team quickly with what we are currently offering... Its woeful.
Ultra Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Halmosi and Buszaky seemed to settle quickly at Plymouth. Let's hope Zsolt will do likewise!
Raj Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Again this could be ANOTHER game to kick start our season. ANOTHER game where we can show what we can do. ANOTHER game for the players to wear the shirt with pride and give us fans some hope. ANOTHER game to roll your sleeves up,fight for one another and justify playing for Leicester City Football Club. ANOTHER FALSE DAWN!

Fez of Mahrez Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 I'm sure you've called him a c**t and told him fcuk off several times this week! But you're right. I wouldn't go risking Cisak or Pentney at the moment... we'll be recalling Conrad Logan before that happens. Maybe I have, I don't know. The red mist has come out the last few days. I actually feel sorry for him. Very little match practice and then thrown in at the deep end at away grounds where we always seem to play pretty poorly, particularly Southampton. He's not great but he's the best we've got available - much like all the players listed below. I didn't buy them! As an opinion it's as good as any but I don't know that anyone can be sure of our strongest team at the moment.Chambers instead of Stearman at right back? Not enough evidence as yet for me. Kisnorbo/N'Gotty at centre-back - it still looks sluggish. Sheehan at left-back. I worry as much as everyone about his lack of speed and his vulnerability when run at. I just think the considerable attacking compensations outweigh those weaknesses in a team that so lacks creativity. But there needs to be more improvement as far as urgency and closer marking is concerned. Clem/Weso in midfield? A bit lightweight and defensive if one of the wingers proves duff or unavailable through injury. As for the wingers themselves. Gradel needs to fulfill his promise and demonstrate consistency. Laczko is an unknown quantity and I was interested to hear wenger remark only today that he allows foreign imports six months to acclimatise before he expects them to be ready for first team football. My own feelings about Kaebi really. It's not a team I would mind starting with as a basis - there is pace, passing, a reasonable balance of attackers/defenders - but all the uncertainties I've mentioned only emphasise what a mess we're in considering it's the middle of the season. This amount of uncertainly shouldn't exist at this stage. January should really be for fine-tuning not major rebuilds.
Manwell Pablo Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 We may as well play Jimmy in goal if Henderson is going to play like this, I'm not even joking.
Raj Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 We may as well play Jimmy in goal if Henderson is going to play like this, I'm not even joking. Your joking right!
Calum McDermott Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Henderson Stearman McAuley Kisnorbo Sheehan Hume/Bori(possible) Clemence Wesolowski/Hume Laczko Howard Fryatt This would be my team
Manwell Pablo Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Your joking right! No, Henderson looks even worse than he did last season and he was pretty crap then. I dunno if I can be bothred with this game, getting witnessing us getting beat by coventry at home and dropping into the bottom three all on the same day will probabley push me over the edge.
Ultra Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 We may as well play Jimmy in goal if Henderson is going to play like this, I'm not even joking. Jimmy's back in Denmark, so that option is unlikely. Holloway is not going to lose face (or even more credibility) by recalling ANY of the axed players.
Daggers Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 He's not great but he's the best we've got available - much like all the players listed below. I didn't buy them! He was good enough to lift a player of the month last season though. Many were very happy with him then and I still reckon he is an average Championship keeper...which would be good enough for us if the rest of the team were pulling their weight. I feel very sorry for Hendo being dumped in it like this. *FAO Mandaric: None of the above is meant to imply that I do not want a better keeper, preferably Hungarian*

If he sees that we'll be signing that fat layabout from Burnley who plays in his gym kit for £2m on a five-year contract.
Daggers Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Oh great. If he sees that we'll be signing that fat layabout from Burnley who plays in his gym kit for £2m on a five-year contract. Aha - no - worse, someone that plays for England. England have great keepers.
mancunianfox Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 At the moment I would go with: Alnwick Stearman Kisnorbo N'Gotty Mattock J. Chambers Clemence Wesolowski Laczko Howard Hume Bench: Henderson, Mcauley, Kenton, Fryatt, Hayles
TheBlinding Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 I think with Adebola playing wide left for Cov we will need to play Stearman at right back for a bit of aerial presence and it's unlikely that Adebola will be able to turn him inside out in the same way as most left wingers have this season. And with Mifsud on the right Mattock and Sheehan will probably get torn apart, neither are particularly quick or defensively solid. Could play Chambers at left back, i know he wasn't great pre season but he's the quickest player at the club and very solid defensively. Just a thought. Saying that, Mattock did cope well against Young and Agbonlahor at Villa. Alnwick Stearman McAuley Kisnorbo Chambers/MattockHume Clemence Wesolowski ZsoltHoward Hayles
George Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Mifsud Usually plays from the Left , and Adebola cuts in from the right
Scow Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Mifsud Usually plays from the Left , and Adebola cuts in from the right Whatever the case, Stearman would struggle.
pricey_lcfc4ever Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 alnwick stearman kisnorbo mccauley mattock chambers clemence wesolowski zsolt hume howard
TheBlinding Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Mifsud Usually plays from the Left , and Adebola cuts in from the right Ok, well from what I saw at the weekend it looked the other way round, maybe they rotate.
George Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Yeh they switch all the time , Adebolas injured so Julian Gray may Start
Scow Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Ok, well from what I saw at the weekend it looked the other way round, maybe they rotate. Ah, I miss the days of flank swapping. Sylla and Hamill did that to great effect - usually to the opposition.
Staf Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Feeling confident about this one im going to say 1-0 Leicester
