lee7 Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Alnwick-7- never really had much to do but what he did have to do he did well. except for the mistake between him and stearman Stearman-7- did ok except for a few long balls to the opposition and the mistake that nearly cost us a goal. other than that he defended and atacked well Kisnorbo-7- solid McAuley-7-solid Mattock-7-best game he's had this season kept mifsud quiet all game. Bori-8- good touch, good passing and could of had 2 goals Clemence-9- amazing looked a lot better with a good midfielder next to him Oakley-8- good tackling and good passing. him and clemence could both be good for us if they can stay fit Laczko-9- amazing. takes people on has good skills, gets crosses in the box and gets back and defends well. could of had 2 goals as well. Hume-8- his touch was amazing today. unlucky not to score and looks a lot better with a good midfield behind him Howard-8- played well won every header and scored a goal. the team looked a lot better. kept hold of the ball well and created loads of chances. could of won the game by more than 2 as well.

Filberts lovechild Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Alnwick 6.5- Didn't have a lot to do. Mix up with Stearman could have led to a goal but fortunately not. Stearman 5- Hoofed down the line a lot, lost the ball a lot and looked shaky. McAuley 7.5- Good game, remember a very good last ditch tackle before giving it to Stearman to lose the ball, again. Kisnorbo 7.5- Solid Mattock 6.5- Did pretty well. Bori 7.5- Very good debut, looks dangerous when crossing. Clemence 8- Looked more comfortable with proper midfielders around him, put his foot in a lot, good game Oakley 8- Great in the tackle, great distribution. We looked so much more balanced because of him. Zsolt 9- Awesome. Can't wait to see more of this lad Hume 7.5- Did well, worked his socks off as usual Howard 7.5- Got his goal and deserved it. We have a proper target man now, bye bye MDV and Carl C*rt Subs: Hayles 6.5- Made a good impact. Still looked a bit slugish, might be his age!

Stearman 6 - didnt play to the standard he has set himself in the last few (home) games, where i think he has been one of the setter performers, looked to be getting battered by wassisface that missed the open goal, but improved as the game went on. McAuley - 7 - same old, same old... defensively solid - distribution of the ball, complete horse shit!! god love him! Kisnorbo -7.5 - see above but just had the edge over macca. good performance from kissa Mattock -7.5 - One of his better games, seemed to really enjoy the prospect of playing against someone smaller than him (Misfud - is he about 11 years old or what!!) and kicked the crap out of him for most of the game! good performance from joey boy! Borat- 8 - YAGSHAMESH! IS NIIICE, I LIIKE!! looks a good un! found space well and whipped in some good quality crosses, unlucky not to score. Clemence -8.5 - a player re-born! seemed to really enjoy playing alongside a decent midfielder in Oakley and between em they completely bossed the midfield! (i cant remember the last time i could have said that about any midfield partnership!?) Oakley - 9 - What a bargain, injected a good dose of passion and showed a good touch, looks to me like just the kind of guy we need - a good calm head too, complemented Clemmo nicely! Laczko -10! - Holy Shit!! we've signed the hungarian Ronaldo!! looked a bit exited at the start but so what!! his enthusiasm seemed to rub off on everyone. A real bargain for us here, covered loads of ground, seemed to be everywhere. If i were gay id deffinately give him one! a real sexual performance i could go on..... QUALITY!!!!! Hume - 9 blinding effort from Huuuuuuume really good to see him enjoying his football i think Howard will bring out the best of him, another good partnership looking likely!! Howard - 8.5 Excellent home debut, scored the first (good finish!) goal from open play aswell (we havent seen to many of those for a while!) dominant in the air, a real threat. i like the look of him! Hayles - 7 - took his chance well for his goal, but i dont know what the defender was doing!! real gif for him. looked solid enough, should be a good squad member. Wessa - not on long enough to score, but as much as i rate him, i cant see him getting many games now barring injuries to Clemmo & Oaks. BEST CITEH PERFORMANCE FOR BLOODY YEARS!! IM STILL BUZZING NOW!!!!

Fantastic performance, fantastic support, everything fell into place. The day hope turned to excited optimism.

McAuley - 7 consistant Kisnorbo - 8 usual self Mattock - 9 outstanding contribution to the game Borat - 7 - I like. simple but effective Oakley - 9 - Simple, and gave good balance with clemmo. Clemence - 8 best game for us. Laczko - 8 - Great, some decent runs and tricks and some great crosses, but needs to be aware of the hole he creates when he doesnt track back. Howard - 8 - Very good game reminded me of claridge in parts.. looks a little unfit for 90 mins did ok till 80th . Hume - 7.5 - Lovely stuff. Hayles ... 7 he is what cort aint Weso.... 7 hard as nails IH. quite cos he forgot his wifes birthday card!
