termite111 Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 WELL WELL i certainly hope that none of our fickle fans will be wanting rid of holloway now? Today he has shown that we can play attacking 4-4-2 effectively if we actually have some quality players in the team. and not to forget CREDIT to GARY PENRICE whos good judgement also and great scouting network brought these hungarians to holloways attention. all of the signings are looking good and can only get better aslong as our fans don't start getting on there back. there is still alot of crap in the whole squad to get rid of but hopefully leeds can keep signing are useless players I just HOPE nobody jumps on the we're getting promoted bandwagon again because mid table is still realisticaly our target until next season.
WetFlannel Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 Everyone of his signings were brilliant today... All hail Ollie
Leicester Lass Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 Still only 19th and only 3 points above the bottom three. Plenty of work to be done, but for now at least, well done Ollie
Joe. Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 Signings really did the business for us today. He promised us new signings and a turnaround and that's what's going to happen by the looks of things.
lildave3 Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 Brilliant signings, judging by today obviously. Let's just hope they can continue this.
Mikey Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 Agreed, good signings, they all did very well today. Keep it up !
Mickey O'Neil Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 Anyone hear Ollie on RL afterwards? Basically, we've defo got first dibs on the 2 wingers at the end of the season ! Said something about it practically being a tied up deal. Bring it on!
Ozwin Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 I sensed something about these new players and the Oakley signing yesterday just hyped me up even more. Great day for Leicester. I just hope it continues and I can actually buy a season ticket to be proud of.

Top post mate. I posted something similar the other week when everyone was whinging about Ollie not signing any midfielders. Today was the best performance I've seen in a while. We just need to make sure we can get something from Norwich and a win against Palace. Up the City!
SamL Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 One win and everyone thinks all is good? Yes i'll admit the new signings played well but it may not be like that every week so I agree with what you're saying mate. We could still get relegated, who knows? It's early days, lets see what happens? If anyone says we are going up then they need to be shot.

Although relegation doesn't seem asl ikely after todays performance. But that doesn't mean promotion is more likely. like. As Football Manager would say : Possible finish: 1-24.
Leonisco Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 Kop today: Ollie, give us a wave, Ollie, Ollie give us a wave! Ollie: I think we're going places under this guy. We played some great stuff today, let's hope we can keep it up.
Lillehamring Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 but compared to some of the apparently awful teams that we've played this season, surely we now have enough shape, balance and quality to move up the table. coventry beat blackburn, but today we seem to have made them look very ordinary.....
Bryn Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 coventry beat blackburn, but today we seem to have made them look very ordinary..... Ergo, we are Premier League, say we are Premier League.

There IS someone within this thread that needs to be shot and that someone is you SamL ! negative negative negative, there alway`s has to be one !
Lillehamring Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 We almost beat Chelsea... and beat Villa,Blackpool made us look ordinary exactly, but without being anything special... there really are some average teams, something happaened today that bodes very well at this level. not suggesting promotion, but i would hope that respectable performances will now be the norm, which should see us edge towards safety... so much of footy is about confidence and that was the ingredient that made the difference today...
SamL Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 There IS someone within this thread that needs to be shot and that someone is you SamL ! negative negative negative, there alway`s has to be one ! I'm saying it how it is. I've missed 5 games all season and i'm guilty of being optimistic after each of our wins but I soon get bought back down to earth the next game when we lose. Has anyone forgot how poor we were at Southampton regardless of who we've signed? Coventry were poor today, just don't get your hopes up. I'm not being negative at all.

But I understand why. Still, it's a different team now. Norwich will be a massive game though.

I suppose i'am but i'm saying it how it is. After we've won a game everybody seems to forget how poor we've been in a previous game. If we lose one, we're going down but if we win one Ollie is King. Ok I might be being negative but i've been let down many times this season by being fooled into thinking we've changed things around after we've won a game. Yes the new signings played well today but they've still got to gel as a team, wait until the honeymoon period is over. I hope that we are going places and that Ollie can finally change things around. Prove me wrong Ollie.
Tevez Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 We've done one other our nearest rivals. I'm happy with that. OLLIES ARMY
