lavrentis Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 Hey, before the game I heard something along the lines of "Paul Henderson please come back into the changing rooms" on the PA or along those lines. Made me chuckle, when he was training I noticed a very angered/disappointed face on his. My guessing and others is he stormed out to when he heard Alnwick was in goal. Did anyone hear this?

SamL Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 Ollie has named a sub keeper for a few games but didn't today. Would've been a bit childish of Hendo to storm out just because he wasn't playing. Can't say i'd be too sad if he left anyway, hasn't played too well this season.

Jimmy Posted 12 January 2008 Posted 12 January 2008 I think that would be highly stupid. why would it we have not including Alnwick, Logan, Cisak, Nielsen, Pentney all under contract, so losing that human time bomb would be no loss, and I still think that we will sign Fulop in the summer when Keane realises he will never get the £25m he seems to want for him In fact a question for Thracian, are either Pentney or Cisak considerably WORSE then Henderson? if not then they would be more then able back up for Alnwick who is here for the rest of the season

Alnwick looked good today I think he looked ok, definitely better than Hendo, but Fulop looks better I thought. And the less said about his kicking the better but it'll get better (Logan's, Henderson's, Fulop's kicking were all woeful but all of their kicking got better towards the end of their LCFC first team spell)

Well for a start, experience, confidence, and not just confidence in himself, but his defenders confidence in him. If anyone came in for Hendo, he would go. Simple as. But they haven't, so he shall stay. What would be the point in releasing him? We might aswell keep paying his wages and having him as backup rather than release him and pay off his contract.

He might think your taking the piss though, after the 4-0 thrashing he got in the City U18 goal today... Or the 5-3 thrashing by Totenham in October, 5-0 against Arsenal in September... Hes not a bad keeper by all means, but not really good standard cover we need for the first team, He's played for the reserves a few times too, one 2-0 defeat to Cov... So would you rely on such a young keeper for first team cover?
