sdb II Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 you're gonna feel like shit for a while but i'm sure you've done the right thing. relationships are indeed very crap (most of the time anyway). better of without mate!
Suffolk_fox Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Don't worry - you'll get over her. I did. So did Lookwhaticando. And Thracian. And The People's Hero.........
Lillehamring Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 um, if it is so shitty, why did you dump her??????
DBEightyFive Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 It is shitty but don't dwell on it otherwise you start to question what you've done. Meet up with mates, go out and do something to keep your body and mind busy. The next one will be even better
Phube Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Don't know... never happened... My condolences anyway!
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Don't know... never happened... My condolences anyway! What about when you dumped your Nintendo 64
Phube Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 What about when you dumped your Nintendo 64 I never had an N64!!! I was at Uni at the time and couldn't afford one!! But my friend had one so I still got to play Mario 64, Goldeneye etc.!
LeeCovFox Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Happens to us all mate. I finished with my ex a good while ago now, after moving to a Scotiish Island with her and buying a flat to boot. I had to move back down south, and for a good three months afterwards I was a mess, not even being able to motivate myself to get a job. Almost 3 years later, after working for a bit and saving some money, I went back to college, got some A-Levels, and now I'm at Coventry University (which is pretty sweet today I tell you!) studying Psychology and enjoying life. I'm still glad of the good times I had with her and occassionally my mind will drift, wonder what she is doing etc, but only out of curiosity. Finishing that relationship was the best thing I could possibly have done with my life, giving me the oportunity to do the things I wanted to with my life, rather than working 45 hours a week in a call centre in order to keep a roof over our heads. It will smart for a while yet mate, but my advice would be try not to ge scked into going back to her, unless thats really what you want of course, as it is definitely a temptation at first to go back to what you have spent a long time being comfortable with, and the good times will come providing you want them to enough.
lookwhaticando Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Don't worry - you'll get over her.I did.
BigGibbo Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 I've never understood why people need this type of relationship really I see them as something you should start looking for when you start winding down so you have a companion as you get on abit. People who don't like being alone are just weak in my humble opinion, I'll probably wait until i've achieved most of what I want to achieve & got where I want to be before I start looking for a permanent partner. No one ever has a partner that they keep from youth til they die but 99% of people try it, it really makes no sense to me if im honest, f@ck buddys are the future thats a fact!
Daggers Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 No one ever has a partner that they keep from youth til they die I knew my wife when I was twelve, got together with her when we were 17 and have remained together for the last 25 years. Should I be expecting some shocking news pretty soon?

Haha You're either one of those miracle couples which you get one of maximum per whole school year or you are just one of those blind men who finds it easier to ignore than confront, or lazy, or very forgiving there are a few On the shocking news I really hope not but in 25 years I doubt it would be the first time!

Dr The Singh Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 LTR are hardwork and more rewarding in the longterm!! Flings etc are easywork and very short term Fook Buddies, are dangerous when one party starts having a emotional attachment!! Either way, all have there advantages and disadvantages, and are suited for a particular lifestyle and possibly age!! Myself, i'm married with kids......sorry to break your hearts ladies!! And I wouldn't change it for the world!!!
