Joe. Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 It's the most logical answer but it seems Hume doesn't like playing out on the wing. I know he should and would play anywhere for the team but if he isn't enjoying it his level of performance will be poor. There's not really another choice to be honest though is there?
dandannieldanok Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 There's not really another choice to be honest though is there? I'd go with what Sods is saying here: All i hope is Ollie dosen't decide to play something stupid. Aka Fryatt out on the left. Keep it simple. Play Sheehan and Mattock together. Bring Weso or Osbourne in for Clemence. And bring Ngotty in for Kisnorbo. Dont be a plank.
shen Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 It's the most logical answer but it seems Hume doesn't like playing out on the wing. I know he should and would play anywhere for the team but if he isn't enjoying it his level of performance will be poor. Not necessarily... He's had a couple of very good games on the wing this season, even though he might have hated playing there.
Lillehamring Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 I'd go with what Sods is saying here: interesting use of the reverse quotation system, nice, different...
SPF07 Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 we need zolts i agree, but i would definately rather see chambers go out wide allowing Hume to continue developing a partnership with Howard up top.
sdb Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 McCauley + N'Gotty = minimal pace and maximum fear in the mind of sdb!!
MikeyT Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 I dare say maybe Hayles or DJ will go up front with Howard whilst Hume will slot in instead of Laczko.
leeleic Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 It'd be a shame to see hume having to play out wide, i've got no doubts he'd do it, but he wouldn't want to, plus he's lovin it along side big steve. I hope Laz is fit, but IH didn't seem so sure in his interview, in fact, he looked really concerned. I think its because he knows its straight back to square one if he's out. Shame bout clem but osbourne will fit the bill perfectly. no concerns there. Great news bout DJ though, will be nice for him to get minutes under his belt.
jonw88 Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 What about playing Osbourne in central defence? He can slot into the back four well apparently according to MON, and I'm sure he'd be a much pacier option than N'Gotty, just whilst Kisser is out.
danny. Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 N'Gotty is in for Kisnorbo, was on Radio Leicester today. Osbourne/Weso in for Clemence Bori to left wing Chambers right wing not perfect but should work OK.
Bert Posted 18 January 2008 Author Posted 18 January 2008 Not necessarily... He's had a couple of very good games on the wing this season, even though he might have hated playing there. Because he's a player that will give his all no matter where he's played.
Nath. Posted 18 January 2008 Posted 18 January 2008 N'Gotty is in for Kisnorbo, was on Radio Leicester today.Osbourne/Weso in for Clemence Bori to left wing Chambers right wing not perfect but should work OK. Am I right in thinking you mean Ashley Chambers on the right wing? Just would make no sense playing James there, fair enough he's played on right mid before, but if he has to push up and act in more of a wing role, then surely that makes him no good for the role?
Ric Flair Posted 18 January 2008 Posted 18 January 2008 Laczko will be fit in time IMO. The lad will be out there whatever the weather, even if he only lasts an hour, i'm sure Ollie will pick him if possible. I doubt Sheehan will play for us again, got a feeling he's on his way out.
Jonbluefox9 Posted 18 January 2008 Posted 18 January 2008 Sounds like Laczko got injured due to a late tackle on him by a team mate! Nice to hear training sessions aren't just a case of going through the motions anymore.
maddog Posted 18 January 2008 Posted 18 January 2008 http://www.thebluearmy.co.uk/details.asp?k...812008307124531 From todays Merc. Looks like we are getting Norris then Also says Clem is out, Dj is in squad and Zsolt is a doubt and hasn't trained this week 'City, without skipper Stephen Clemence with a calf strain and the suspended Patrick Kisnorbo, are anxiously monitoring the fitness of winger Zsolt Laczko who made such a big impact in his debut in the 2-0 win over Coventry last Saturday. The Hungarian has an ankle knock and is a doubt but, on the brighter side, striker DJ Campbell, yet to play for Holloway because of pelvic trouble, is now fit enough to be in the squad.' N Gotty will replace Kisnorbo, Osbourne will replace Clemence, Zsolt will play even if his leg is broken
Daggers Posted 18 January 2008 Posted 18 January 2008 David Norris has made an apparent “come and get me” That is so gay. Oh - chase me! Chase me!
