You just love putting him down, he won't play for us again so let it lye!!

I'm sure he will have a much better career than Gradel ;)

We have Bori now, let's get over it

Who knows what you have unleashed... God have mercy

Soon as Kaebi leaves the better.

He's not gunna succeed here face it.

He probably wasn't given a fair crack of the whip but thats football.

Contrary to what Thracian says being shuffled about in the reserves and then being expected to work miracles in the worst midfield (If it can be called a midfield that is) in our history isn't really going to help.

He wasn't bedded in properly thats past now though i hope he succeeds at his new club.

A greatt post, to sum up what is knows as the Iranian farce. can't wait to see the back of the lad.

I don't love putting him down at all, or anyone else for that matter.

In fact he should never have been put in a position to be "put down" by anyone.

But I'd make no predictions about Gradel's career.

Considering the people Leicester have showed they'd prefer to have in or around their first team instead of Gradel, I wouldn't for one moment bank on success at City if I were him, or even on getting the sort of chance Kaebi enjoyed.

Yet so far, the club's mistakes in this respect would seem to have been quite expensive. Whether they'll learn from them is quite another matter and not something I'd try to predict.

It would seem to me that you would always prefer a "home grown" youngster to succeed over and above an "import". Personally I don't care where they come from as long as they try and are good players.

Now as far as Gradel is concerned (french I believe?) he is completely unproven at our level and several managers who have worked with him have not seen fit to play him in the first team even considering our apparent lack of ability in wide areas for the past few seasons. So let's look at the people Leicester have prefered to have in their team instead of Gradel shall we.

Newton agreed crap.

Porter despite what you say he simply isn't good enough at this level but still considered better than Gradel.

Sheehan not good enough. He has a good left foot and takes the occasional good set piece but is not a wide player but still considered better than Gradel.

mattock very very average player in a wide position but again still considered better than Gradel.

Now we have 2 Hungarians who looked good in their 1st game and not so good against Norwich but both again considerd by the manager to be better thanGradel.

Unfortunately our young players are simply not as good as people like you think they are. If they were then we would have several premier sides trying to buy them as happened to the very best youth players at Southampton. So far I know we have only had offers for Mattock. For too long we have been spun the myth that our youngsters are world beaters when the sad truth is that they are not. The last few seasons have seen the continuous promotion of youngsters on these forums by supporters only to see them fail at first team level or move onto lower division clubs (wright O'Grady Dawson et al). kaebi may have been a mistake and that is a shame for he came with a good reputation as a player who had played quite well at the world cup and over 50 international caps. In comparison Gradel has failed to impress 6 or 7 leicester City managers and is now having the chance to learn his trade at a club in a lower league. He may benefit from this and return a quality player but for now the jury must be out on that one. The alternative is for him to return and take the place of another player and go the same way of all our so-called fantastic youngsters into the dregs of reserve football and eventually out of the club to play at a level better suited to them.

a) Gradel is fundamentally a right winger and that's where he's played most of his football at Leicester.

b) Porter, Sheehan and Mattock are not wingers as I've mentioned lots of times. That's perfectly obvious.

c) The real people preferred have been Newton, James Chambers, Ashley Chambers and Kaebi none of whom are in Gradel's class as a right winger although Ashley might eventually break through.

d) I've never proclaimed any of our young players to be anything like world class nor, indeed, any better than good enough for our team/squad at the time concerned. I have been given no reason at all to regret that view.

e) We've had at least three clubs enquiring/bidding after Mattock and Crewe asking if they could have Gradel. There is endless interest in various of our other young players.

f) None of the young players I (and others) have considered should get a chance in the first team have been a failure:- Sheehan, Porter, King, Mattock, Logan, nor has Stearman. O'Grady barely had a proper chance at all and has done fine at Rotherham.

g) There is no evidence that Gradel "failed to impress" anyone, otherwise the club wouldn't have given him a contract.

The impression I got was that they preferred experience, for which, of course, they habitually pay over the odds for questionable ability in some cases I won't bother naming.

h) You're right about Kaebi. :D

im sure if he was that good , holloway wouldnt of get rid of him so he can't be that good otherwise he would still be here, holloway is the manager and he knows his players far better than we do

How can you say they are better than Gradel!!! Your no football pundit, if he was better than them then he would of obviously been put in the team ahead of them. End Of.

How is Porter not a winger :S Do you prefer him to play in an attacking midfield role? Because if you do there's one problem. He's too small.

There have been some cracking small attacking midfielders... Size isnt always an issue as long as we dont have a defence that constantly has to hoof it long

SWP played AM for Chelsea thoe other day and had a brilliant game, you dont get much smaller then him :cool:

I purposely play a smaller AM in my teams, i manage kids teams. because they almost alweays have pace and agility, and can run at the defense and whip aroud them.

Levi has neither.

Neither does he have any sort of skill to beat a man.

He played one good ball for DJ against Chelsea and thats about as good as you will get from him.
