Well he's leaving now so you can stop your one man hatred campaign against the poor lad :D

I never stopped trying to find something good to say about him. Not easy mind.

It hasn't worked out and if the clubs coaches think he isn't ready for English footy then fine, send him away and get him off our wage bill. Its a shame he didn't work out as he came with a big reputation and we expected plenty from him and he hasn't delivered for one reason or another but I hope he goes on to have a decent career.

Who gave him the big reputation in the first place?

.......oh that's right! Fvckwits on here who'd been playing too much FM 2007 and watching too many Youtube clips

So stand up fvckwits and take a bow

OR it could be things like World Soccer magazine rating him in the top ten most promising players in the world...

FIFA said Fryatt was one of their top ten players for the future.:whistle:

But that's where his reputation came from, not from 'fvckwits on here'. Posters merely relayed this information as background on a player we were signing. He hasn't lived up what we were expecting from was was reported before he came here and so it's best for him to move on.

Perhaps we should ban posting of all YouTube clips of our new signings, maybe also the opinions of any fans of clubs we sign them from, and any information at all about them, just so no-one can be accused of giving them a big reputation if they don't turn into the greatest signing of all time.

50+ International Caps at 21 is still an achievement even if Iran aren't one of the top nations. The boy has talent, but it's just not worked out here. He isn't the first or the last to move country and it not work out, look at a host of big named players who have failed to live up to expectation.

Kaebi isn't crap, just like Tony Cottee wasn't crap when he failed in Malaysia or Robbie Keane in Milan.

I think you'll find the club paraded his signing like it was a real capture. from under the noses of prem teams apparently and we had to sneek him into the country.

you have a short memory.

My point: it wasnt just a couple of silly you tube videos that got us excited about him.

Not at all.

He wasn't and never will be one of the top 10 most promising players in the world.

You're not telling me you don't think he was on the list because he was Asian?

I have no doubts that when the list was compiled there were 10 more promising players in Europe alone.

............and as for his international cap tally. That says more about Iranian football rather then his ability.

He'll do well when back on home soil I don't doubt.

He was probabley on that list as he was one of the most promising players in Asia, and Iran are the top ranked team in Asia. He has 56 caps for them aged 22. Now look at the Japenese national team first XI, 75% of the players in that team would be quality signings for us, same with Korea, same with Australia. Theres something there even if people like you and Thracian don't want to actually want to look into why he failed here other than the fact he's not a very good footballer, which is cleary not the case.

He's not been playing well for awhile, he's last turn out for Iran didn't go very well to say the least and I think Madavickhia has him completley out of the team now so somethings going wrong somewhere. Whatever it doesn't matter, he's going now, I just think it's incredibly unfair to call people stupid for thinking we had a good player on our hands. He had excellent pedigree.

I think we'll have to agree to disagree on this one ;)

The plaudits he received when he signed far outweighed anything he'd done to deserve them.

I just wish we'd all remember this the next time we sign an unknown foreigner player.......

..................or another Ryan Smith!!!

Honcho, have you actually seen him play? :D I'm just curious because i'd say 99% of Leicester fans haven't if we dis-regard the 10 minute cameo against Watford given we only took just over a 1000 fans to both Hull & Ipswich.

I'll certainly reserve judgement when we sign players in future, like I have done with the Hungarians until I see them play. Because if signing a 21 year old who has already represented his country 56 times, played in the World Cup and done well, turns out to be a bad signing then there's something gone wrong along the way.

I know International Caps aren't the defining factor with whether a player is going to be any good or not, but you don't find many quality players not play for their countries along the way.
