Cobbo Posted 27 January 2008 Posted 27 January 2008 Ref was good. Twas a good laugh - My head hurts today. That Scowy's a bad influence.
Koke Posted 27 January 2008 Posted 27 January 2008 Nice day out and credit for Manwell for organizing this. It was great meeting every single one of you. As for the game, I think second half our sole aim was to keep the score low, which we failed miserably. The U21 was quicker, fitter and a lot sharper than us. And their back line was fairly solid.
General Smuts Posted 27 January 2008 Posted 27 January 2008 Bert, cheers for sorting out mate.Reckon you could tell me the starting line-up and subs of U21's? Id like to thank you for the lovely stud shaped bruise i just found on my foot.

Koke Posted 27 January 2008 Posted 27 January 2008 A moment of brilliance from Sparky I think it was. We had a corner but the U21 cleared the ball and had a counter attack 8 against 2 or something like that and all Sparky did was take two step forward before the man on the ball made a pass and the U21 had about 4 players off side hey well played Karim you had a fine game and cheers for help with nets That was all I was good at yesterday to be honest.

Micky Ruddle Posted 27 January 2008 Posted 27 January 2008 That's what makes a good defender, Sparky is class. Certainly was. Shall we do a player ratings? Or are we not bothering?
Bert Posted 27 January 2008 Posted 27 January 2008 Certainly was.Shall we do a player ratings? Or are we not bothering? You can do. Start seperate threads though.
Koke Posted 27 January 2008 Posted 27 January 2008 That tall lad at the back for U21, was that Maybes? He was class.
lildave3 Posted 27 January 2008 Posted 27 January 2008 Reading all these posts about people aching, I can't tell you how good it feels to be and young and playing regularly. Ache-free
Micky Ruddle Posted 27 January 2008 Posted 27 January 2008 Reading all these posts about people aching, I can't tell you how good it feels to be and young and playing regularly. Ache-free Oh god. Ben, do you ever stop bragging.
General Smuts Posted 27 January 2008 Posted 27 January 2008 Never You bloody did! All is forgiven though no worries
Trumpet Posted 27 January 2008 Posted 27 January 2008 Ref was good.Twas a good laugh - My head hurts today. That Scowy's a bad influence. The ref had a decent game.. apart from when he decided to try a flick in open play, which obstructed the ball and stopped a potentially dangerous attack
lildave3 Posted 27 January 2008 Posted 27 January 2008 Oh god. Ben, do you ever stop bragging. I was just informing you all of my ache-freeness.
Trumpet Posted 27 January 2008 Posted 27 January 2008 And cheers to Manwell and Bert for sorting it all out and anyone else involved in the organising of it all. And in general, thanks everyone for a good game of flowing football Nice to put some names to faces too
General Smuts Posted 27 January 2008 Posted 27 January 2008 drinking a few pear ciders followed by a few double Jim Beems followed by finners free pint of carling he gave me has not had a great effect on me all morning ! Im of a similar ilk tbh. When i got there i was playing catch up so i steamed through 3 magners and ended with 2 double jim beams at the loaded dog, before i went to my mates 21st. I got in bed at around 330. Im just waiting for the room to stop spinning at the minute.
General Smuts Posted 27 January 2008 Posted 27 January 2008 Pub.Hugging Raj. Beer behind goal. Piss behind tree. Pub. It was a tough ask but I reckon I managed to perform to expectations. For a while I was concerned that my level of inebriation simply wasn't up to the occasion but I am happy I raised my game prior to walking onto the park thanks to drinking on an empty stomach. I realised on the way back that when you introduced yourself to me as Dave that you were Daggers Sorry i didnt stop and talk to you more, shame i missed you in the pub afterwards aswell i had a pint with your name on it. Ill make a beeline for you at the next match!
Finnegan Posted 27 January 2008 Posted 27 January 2008 Over 21's 2Tomassi Other <_< Words cannot express my current state of pain. Just... ugh...
Micky Ruddle Posted 27 January 2008 Posted 27 January 2008 I was just informing you all of my ache-freeness. Yeah..right..
Koke Posted 27 January 2008 Posted 27 January 2008 I was in a pretty dire state last night, my body aching quite a lot like the rest of the lads. And fell asleep half-way into Match of the Day.
