davieG Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 Warnock or Ollie or are they both deluded? Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock hit out at Leicester counterpart Ian Holloway after watching his side's 15-game unbeaten run come to a halt at the Walkers Stadium, writes Simon Fitzjohn. Palace slipped to a 1-0 defeat courtesy of a scrappy Barry Hayles goal seconds from time, in a game of few chances. But Warnock lashed out at the Foxes boss after insisting it was the Eagles who had tried to play all the football. Warnock said: "I heard Ian talking after the game and he was comparing us to the Wimbledon sides of old. "I had a good laugh at that as if we are the old Wimbledon then what does that make his side?" "We tried to play but all they did was route one up to Howard and tried to live off the scraps." The Eagles struggled to play their usual passing game on a pitch that was very heavy and cut up as the game progressed.
Durnerz Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 Boo Hoo, back into your hole, Colin. The one you're always up......your arsehole.
Finnegan Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 End of the day, pardon my Thracianism but with a tiny bit of luck elsewhere we could have won four-nil (bare with me) and their only clear chance was seven miles offside. I don't think we played brilliantly by any means, but Palace didn't have a clue how to cope with the circumstances while we at least created some chances. (Hume's free kick and DJ in the last minute, hair's breadth. Any other day they could have drifted in. Fantastic chances. Plus we should have had the most blatant penalty of the season.)
sdb Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 definatley them, hoofball for 90 mins. wwe were hoofball for about 60. warnock is a cock, always has been.

andyh1884 Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 I think it was fairly direct stuff from both sides at times. They certainly weren't afraid to lump it up for Morrison & scowcroft to knock it on/down.
Ultra Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 The Eagles struggled to play their usual passing game on a pitch that was very heavy and cut up as the game progressed. Yeah, right, because they have so many gifted players, don't they? Get real. Palace make Derby look like Real Madrid. If they do manage to go up, they'll be down by Christmas!
The Reverend Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 We were both punting it up there. Both teams. If Warnock thinks Palace tried to play football, then im afraid me and probably everyone else has a different view of 'football' to him.
andyh1884 Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 "I had a good laugh at that as if we are the old Wimbledon then what does that make his side?" Translation = "I know you are, but what am I?" in stupid childish voice
Uncle Albert Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 Yeah, right, because they have so many gifted players, don't they?Get real. Palace make Derby look like Real Madrid Inter Milan (play nicer football) If they do manage to go up, they'll be down by Christmas! Fingers crossed!
Daggers Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 Translation = "I know you are, but what am I?" in stupid childish voice Sounds like he ought to become a full-time member of FoxesTalk
Trav Le Bleu Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 In respect of both teams, the team that tried to play proper football (along the ground), on that pitch, would have got mullered. Which is why neither team did - try to play football nor get mullered - end of!

Simi Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 Neil Warnock = Arse. Niel Warnock = Hero. Thought Warnock was right in his interview after the game regarding the officials, they were very poor. Seeing replays we maybe should have had a penalty, but I didn't notice at the time.

Seeing replays we maybe should have had a penalty, but I didn't notice at the time. I haven't seen any TV coverage but I was chuckling to myself last night at the sheer number of crap decisions driving his players to a state of apoplexy. It was the best bit about the match aside from one of the shittest but most welcome goals.
The Reverend Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 If i'm honest i thought they were just as shit towards us. they are just inept, simple as. Cant really remember a stand-out bad decision really? Warnocks right though. A draw would of been a fair result. But it wasnt the first time its happened to Warnock (undeservedly losing points like that) and wont be the last.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 We are the Hoofers though and always have been. Leicester don't play it on the floor we just go long and hope for the best. Nothing wrong with that, worked in the past for us.
Daggers Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 If i'm honest i thought they were just as shit towards us. they are just inept, simple as. Yup - but it was Palace that were getting more and more frustrated by it, gesticulating and mouthing off in an ever increasingly overly dramatic fashion. Good sport
Joe. Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 I hate it when managers criticise other teams style of play. At the end of the day you do what it takes for your side to win. If it means playing it long then so be it. Warnock's just being extremely sour after this defeat and the fact that his team created very little with their "passing" style and lost just annoys me that he can criticise a winning side.
Staf Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 I dont care if we hoofed it or not it was hard to play on the floor on that pitch so hoof was the only option and we won so shut up Warnock
AyewJoking Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 We Leicester fans arent used to success. Of course opposing managers are gonna moan and throw the blame around when we beat them. Just take the points and turn the other cheek!
