It's not V/Reading/Leeds but if anyone fancies something on a slightly smaller scale then come to the Musician on August 24th - I'm organising a charity festival in benefit of PROSTaid and SANE. There's plenty of local Leicester bands playing, it's free entry to get in (of course all donations are very welcome) and hopefully should be a great day!

Saturday i watched Squeeze , Girls aloud (schwing) , half of Lenny Kravitz , The view ,The Feeling , The Zutons , bit of Travis and The Verve Sunday watched The Kooks , bit of Alanis Morrisette , The Pigeon Detectives , Most of Muse , Highlights for me , Pigeon Detectives and The Zutons were fantastic and the Verve were just awesome . Singing Premiership your having a laugh to one of our mates girlfriends who is big Stoke fan as we were getting regular updates !! Lowlights , Sarah Hardings new hairstyle , The View were shockingly bad , Losing me mates just before The Verve but 2 ladies from Wigston saw my city jacket and invited me to stand with them . THE FOOKING WEATHER , torrential rain Saturday for 5 bloody hours !!!! All in all i loved it , my 1st ever festival and 1st of many. Hope you enjoy Leeds and Reading guys

Wils Posted 18 August 2008 Posted 18 August 2008 What a weekend. Apparently we had better weather than Stafford Until last night it pissed it but didnt care. Muse were amazing. Along with Pigeons and the Kooks. Little man tate were very impressive too. I so didnt go and watch girls aloud. Everyone enjoy reading and leeds you ****ers!

Saturday watched: Stranglers, Squeeze, Girls Aloud, One Republic, Scouting for Girls, Travis, The View, Zutons, Kaiser Chiefs. Sunday watched: The Script, Amy MacDonald, Duffy, Maximo Park, The script - again, Kooks, Newton Faulkner, Pigeon Detectives, The Prodigy. Highlights were in the front row for Pigeon Detectives and the Prodigy both were awesome, Shaking Keith Flints hand, Travis and The Kaiser Chiefs. Seeing Cheryl cole in very tight trousers. Newton Faulkner clearing the crowd away so I could walk up to the barrier for Pigeon detectives. Lowlights, having to choose between the Prodigy and Muse, The rain and the mud, missing the crowd booing Amy Winehouse - would have loved to have joined in! Wasnt impressed with the View, Zutons or Kooks didnt think they put on much of a show. Thought the line up at V-festival last year was better, the weather was just as bad!
