Thracian Posted 30 June 2008 Posted 30 June 2008 So who's going where?Me and my mates were talking the other day and we are considering going Global Gathering (I'm more into indie but don't mind my dance, Besides theres rumours bands may be appearing at Global this year), Download (A few of my mates went last year), And as soon as I mentioned the RATM rumour at Reading/Leeds we want to go there, and one of my mates normally going V so may tag along. TBH doubt we'll go Reading/Leeds although that would be the main one i'd want to go to, Download is the weekend of my birthday and family are organising a party (I think) so not sure if i'll be going there...I pretty keen on all 3 though so hopefully i'll be doing a few festivals this year. My youngest is headed for the Foo Fighters/Oasis two-dayer in Canada come September. He'll be over in Albuquerque, New Mexico with his fiance for 13 weeks and intends to fly up to Toronto for what he reckons will be the event of a lifetime having already reckoned Foo Fighters at Wembley was as good a concert as he's ever seen. http://www.cbc.ca/arts/music/story/2008/03...is.html?ref=rss.
James. Posted 2 July 2008 Posted 2 July 2008 Who's going to Exit? I think I may have mentioned it once or twice
Master Fox Posted 2 July 2008 Posted 2 July 2008 I think I may have mentioned it once or twice What do make of the line up?
James. Posted 2 July 2008 Posted 2 July 2008 What do make of the line up? Well I bought my ticket before any of the line up had been announced so all along I've not been THAT bothered about who was playing. It's a 4 day festival in the sun in Serbia at a historic fortress with about 20 mates - a good line up is just a bonus! That said I'm looking forward to seeing Primal Scream, Sex Pistols will be fun, Manu Chao is always good value for a festival, N.E.R.D. are alright, 2 Many DJ's and Soulwax will in all likelihood absolutely rinse it, am up for Kruder and Dorfmeister... and then there's the drum n bass and dubstep... High Contrast with the sunrise - yes please. Roni Size, Benga, Hype, Noisia, Shy FX - all on the main stage, all wicked.

Probably not as strong as last year but still pretty good. Thought I’d highly recommend going to see Seba & Paradox on the Tuborg HNS stage if you get the chance. Best Drum & Bass act there in my opinion. I’d love to be going.

The names ring a bell but don't think I've ever seen them out at a night before.

filbertway Posted 15 July 2008 Posted 15 July 2008 Filbert way , I will be attending Leeds this year for the first time. What do you think of the line up mate? Ahh mate, firstly you've made an excellent decision, it was my first time last year and I loved it, the people are geenerally really friendly and you'll jsut have a great laugh all weekend And on the line up, it's all down to preference isn't it really, I'm quite happy with it to be honest though, theres at least 6/7 bands per day I want to watch and I dont think any will clash What do you think to it?

Joe. Posted 23 July 2008 Posted 23 July 2008 I love the fact you've gone from not wanting to see Rage Against The Machine to wanting to see them the most! I know. Renegades of Funk has changed it all for me. That list isn't in any particular order by the way though.
Joe. Posted 23 July 2008 Posted 23 July 2008 28 days I need a tent. Ahh shit I forgot to take off a couple of days for early entry!
