You need 1000 posts to change Ian Marshall... Good luck with that Its a case of weathering the storm for this season now, and trying to build some consistency. We have a good squad thats good enough for this division, and hopefully next season will bring better fortunes than the rocky start we had.

sdb Posted 3 February 2008 Posted 3 February 2008 slightly OTT reaction i think. not that i was at the game yesterday but we were a few mins away from our 4th straight game unbeaten, which aint too bad
Bert Posted 3 February 2008 Posted 3 February 2008 slightly OTT reaction i think. not that i was at the game yesterday but we were a few mins away from our 4th straight game unbeaten, which aint too bad Was a very poor first half, but much improved 2nd half. Many of the fans first instincts was that the winning goal should've been disallowed after a contentious offisde call, which was made worse with Dickov scoring the winner.

Still can't believe it wasn't given I was directly behind the assistant and I could clearly see he was off. But I'm a referee as well so I'm blind anyway
Bert Posted 3 February 2008 Posted 3 February 2008 sounds just like Monday, coincidentally the same line up as Monday, both times after Hume went off we improved ... Hardly. Hume went off with 7 minutes to go. By that time Blackpool had long ball upon long ball coming our way.

I find Ollie an enigma. He certainly has the passion - I like a manager who jumps out of his seat and shouts at the players - God knows we wouldnt want a Sven!! However, the football we are playing at present - is it any better than it was before? I went to Norwich, for example, where we were played off the park. The Palace game was a bore and should have been a draw - and losing to Blackpool with the squad we have expensively assembled is just UNACCEPTABLE! No more excuses Ollie - this is now YOUR squad and we should be improving - I'm not sure we are........ I'm certainly not calling for Ollie out - however, if we stay up, which I feel we will, we must notice a radical improvement next season, both in terms of results and football played, or else I fear we will be losing yet another manager. NO EXCUSES OLLIE - losing to Blackpool is not good enough - they are crap and we should be running games against such teams.
SamL Posted 3 February 2008 Posted 3 February 2008 Humes great Do you not get tired of coming out with the same old crap? To be fair, I can't comment on the offside decision as I wasn't there but the replays seem to suggest he was onside.

Blimey I'd rather have Sven any day. he may not tell good jokes but Man city have been a revelation this season playing some great stuff after signing completely to me unknown foreigners. His club record elsewhere is pretty good as well.
Thracian Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 sounds just like Monday, coincidentally the same line up as Monday, both times after Hume went off we improved ... Not sure how you drew that conclusion. We had an improved second half, particularly for 15 minutes leading up to the goal which Hume fashioned out of sheer persistence with the help of a benevolent Blackpool defender. Then we gradually slipped into come-away-with-something mode, except we didn't come away with anything because when Hume left the field we eventually conceded goal number two - yet again after a diagonal pass to the right post.
filbertway Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Barry Hayles, our bright spark. The man was like Christiano Ronadlo dribbling the ball out of defence and taking balls and fists to the face.
