Most Audacious Signing in CM/FM

I once had Tevez in my City team (this was before MU signed him, but after his stellar performance in the 2004 olympics) he was ACE! I also had Robben, in similar circumstances, in that team.

I signed John Hartson for Kettering Town.

BUT, I think my biggest coup of them all was persuading Robert Pires to come to Hinckley Utd! Ok, so it was his last year before retiring, but at that level (Conference North) he could really do a job!!

So - what's yours?

Well i got players like Joe Cole, Carlos Tevez and Zlatan Ibhrohamavic (sp) to come to Bradford City, this was in the 2011/2012 season thou so...

I also on my CM game, i am Leicester, currently on my second stint at the club, and i am in the 2022/2023 seaon which i think is quite an achievement.

Er, trying to think. I'm not sure about 'audacious' but Kenny Miller, Craig Gordon and Shuno Nakamura all to Swansea City on free transfers with their contracts expiring was pretty handy.

I've just started a new game as Racing and am determined to only sign the "super-kids". So I've made early sweeps for Nicolas Millan, Bojan Krkic, Kevin Monnet-Paquete, Magnus Wolff Eikrem, Sasha Iakovenko, Henri Saivet (sp?) and so on - then spent my transfer budget on world class coaches. Currently having an indifferent first season (well, I'd consider 6th with Racing Santander 'indifferent' anyway), but if this lot grow it'll have been a fairly cheeky bit of business.

Your games always interest me.

Maybe because you always do well in them.

Also, no Naismith or Goodwillie for Racing? :o:P

Haha. I'll keep you posted on these kids, I'm interested to see how good I can get Bojan. My problem with waiting to sign these "superkids" is that, in my opinion, the computer controlled clubs are crap at developing youngsters. I send people on loan and they never develope, because my coaches are always tip top. Nicolas Millan looks like a total catch, he's amazing at 14! But Spain has stupid laws about foreign players so I can't play him 'til he gets Spanish citizenship (two years) or there's room in my squad for him (I like Mexicans, so there isn't. :P)

And I dunno why, but I never sign British players if I'm doing Spanish or Italian teams. Weird, having thought about it.

What's the average age in the squad now then?

Can't be very high at all...

Higher than normal, actually. It's 25. Racing had an absolutely terrible squad here, heh, and not a lot of youngsters. Lot of 30 somethings including a 37 year old center back.

Plus I've left Wolff Eikrem and Nicolas Millan in the youth squad so I don't think they contribute to the "average squad age."

On 01/02 my mate had a Barnet team that read something along the lines of

Buffon

Neville, Nesta, Canavaro, Shush!

De Natali, Viera, Keane, Beckham

Henry, Vieri

I think he Davids as well, extrodinary team, they were all about 38/39 of course, bar Shush!, who of course is in there for comedy value.
